Ailee - Heaven

I walked slowly up the grassy field with my head hung in sadness. It had been a year since that day; the day I lost everything. I used to feel complete and then in the blink of an eye, all the happiness I had experienced was ripped out of my life leaving me cold and alone in this world; nothing happy to remember and nothing good to look forward to.

The sky was particularly grey today; the weather must be feeling the way I am. My heart ached so much as I neared my destination. With a bouquet of white roses in my hand, and picture in my other hand I stopped walking and looked at the stone on the grass and felt tears fill my eyes.

“Here lies Hwang JiEun, beloved Wife and daughter”

I fell to my knees in front of my dead wife’s grave and cried sorrowfully to her. JiEun, how I wish you were still here beside me. I miss you so much; it was unfair that you were taken so suddenly. I remember her last words so clearly in my head.

“Kyungsoo, I’ll watch over you from Heaven; never forget me” I remembered and placed the bouquet down with the last photo taken of her alive...
