Sehun laughs as he watches his pretty wife pouting while she whines because he playfully eats the spaghetti for himself instead of feeding her.

“Sehun!”

Eunjae whines, her hand moves to slap Sehun’s shoulder as the guy laughs, putting up the fork in front of his beloved wife who then eats the dangling spaghetti from it.

“Delicious?”

Eunjae hums and nods with a huge smile on her face, her cheeks puffy as she munches the spaghetti, making Sehun couldn’t help but lean in to peck a kiss on his wife’s cheek whose eyes widen and Eunjae could feel her heart thumping so loud. She didn’t expect the quiet and shy Sehun from high school could become this loving and clingy, not that she’s complaining because she loves it, even though she tries to not make it obvious that she’s falling for him.

“I love you.”

Sehun whispers as Eunjae hums, her finger pointing towards the slices of beef among the spaghetti,

“Those bigger ones.”

Sehun chuckles, spooning the beef with his other hand rolling up the spaghetti with a fork before feeding his wife again. Familiar voices could be heard and Eunjae knows exactly that they’re her father-in-law’s and mother-in-law’s voices, making her purposely scoots closer towards Sehun, linking her arms around Sehun’s to piss her mother-in-law off. Mr. Oh who’s talking to his wife smiles as he watches his son feeding his daughter-in-law,

“These newlyweds.”

Mr. Oh playfully said while he takes the seat in front of Sehun and Eunjae could see her mother-in-law staring at her with her eyes full of hatred.

“Dad, have some. Oh, mom too.”

Eunjae push the plate of spaghetti towards her in-laws with the most innocent smile she ever had, making Mrs. Oh curses in her head and she made a mental note to lecture her son later when Eunjae’s out of her sight.

“I’ve cooked a lot today. Why did you go out and get some other foods for your wife, Sehun? You just got back from work, you should be resting instead of going back and forth for her. Even feeding her when she has her own hands.”

Mrs. Oh said, rolling her eyes as she takes the seat further from everyone at the dining table. Mr. Oh frowns and turns to look at his wife while shaking his head. Eunjae annoyingly sighs, leaning her head on Sehun’s arm,

“Oppa loves me so much, then what should I do? It’s not wrong to pamper your beloved ones especially your own wife, isn’t it, Sehun oppa?”

Eunjae looks up at Sehun with her eyes shining like a little puppy, making Sehun chuckles as he nods, his hand moves to continue feeding his wife. Eunjae then peeks to look at her mother-in-law,

“Why not, dad feeds mom too? Maybe mom’s jealous because she wants to be pampered too.”

Blinking her eyes innocently towards both her father and mother-in-law, Eunjae said in between her munching her spaghetti, making Mrs. Oh’s eyes widen with anger as Sehun who doesn’t realize the meaning behind his wife’s words laughs, his hand moves to caress his wife’s hair,

“You talk a lot today.”

Sehun leans down and whispers, watching her mother-in-law over her shoulders, Eunjae grins and playfully pinches Sehun’s hips,

“Why? Am I not allowed to talk a lot?”

Sehun immediately shakes his head,

“No, darling. You can talk as much as you want. I’ll listen to you.”

Mr. Oh smiles as he watches the two whispering among each other, feeling contented seeing Eunjae starts to open up to his son and seeing the progress in their relationship. Mrs. Oh clenches her fist, her lips trembling in anger as she watches the scene unfolding in front of her with so much rage in her eyes.

“Do you really love her, Sehun?”

Sehun who’s washing the plate after urging his wife to go up and rest inside their room once she finishes her spaghetti chuckles, turning to glance over his mother who’s witting on the chair at the dining table.

“Of course, I do, mom.”

“You just met her, it doesn’t make sense if you fall in love that fast. I know she’s pretty but Sehun, she doesn’t have anything aside from her pretty face. If she’s a good girl, her own father won’t be throwing her away.”

Sehun closes the faucet, feeling slightly uncomfortable with his mom’s words about his wife but he remains calm, smiling towards his mother as he takes the seat beside her,

“She’s my first love, mom and I’ve never liked anyone after I liked her. You know we went to the same high school, don’t you? So we’ve known each other for quiet some times. Mom, you might not see it because Eunjae’s not the type who showcases her feelings. She might sound rude sometimes but she has a very kind heart mom. I know my wife. She’s not hypocrite and she speaks whatever she wants because that’s who she is. And I love her for that. I hope you can accept her, mom.”

Mrs. Oh turns away, her nose flaring with anger as she refuses to look at Sehun’s face,

“I don’t like her and I will never accept her as my daughter-in-law! Whatever happens, she’s just a stranger!”

With that being said, Mrs. Oh stands up and storms her way out of the kitchen, leaving Sehun sighing to himself as he leans his body on the chair, closing his eyes while pinching his nose bridge.  

Eunjae’s combing her long hair when she notices her husband keeps on staring at her from the mirror while he buttons his dress shirt’s sleeves, making her puts her comb down and turns to look at Sehun with her arms crossed on her chest,

“Do you have anything to say to me, Dr. Oh?”

Sehun laughs hearing his wife’s calling him ‘Dr. Oh’ before he makes his way towards his wife with a huge smile on his face. Crouching in front of his wife, he takes out his phone and looks up at Eunjae,

“Darling.”

“Yes.”

Sehun puts up his phone in front of Eunjae whose eyes then widen, seeing the things shown on the screen of her husband’s phone.

“Jeju? This weekend?”

Eunjae asked, looking at Sehun who’s nodding with a huge smile on his face,

“It’s our honeymoon. Sorry, I can’t bring you to another country because I have a meeting next Monday so I can’t apply for extended leave. But I promise, we’ll go anywhere you want after this.”

Eunjae smiles, nodding her head as she wraps her arms around Sehun’s neck, eyes staring into Sehun’s with adoration,

“Thank you.”

Sehun could feel his already beating heart to beat so much faster seeing the genuine smile and happiness on Eunjae’s face, something she never shows to him and it makes him so happy knowing that he finally reaches her heart,

“I think you should go to the hospital now, or you’ll be late, Dr. Oh.”

Eunjae playfully said, retreating her arms from Sehun’s neck as the guy chuckles, leaning in to peck his usual kiss on her forehead,

“Don’t skip meals and if you have anything you want, just text me, I’ll get them for you on my way back.”

Eunjae smiles, putting up an ‘OK’ sign with her fingers as she stands up, sending her husband of to work for the first time after two months of their marriage. Waving her goodbye, she watches Sehun’s Benz making his way out of the house as Eunjae then couldn’t stop smiling to herself.

“Sehun’s late today.”

Mr. Oh who just came out of his room smile as he looks at his daughter-in-law who’s face brightly shining,

“His shift starts at 12 today.”

Mr. Oh hums, nodding with the same smile on his face,

“Eunjae.”

Eunjae hums, looking up at her father-in-law,

“I hope you don’t take what your mother-in-law keeps on saying to you into your heart. She’s like that sometimes, acting without thinking. No matter what she talks about you or what she thinks about you, know that me, your father is always here for you to defend you. I know you mean no harm everytime you talk back to her because I believe that’s what she deserves, but I hope you don’t take it seriously, about all of the things she said to you.”
