Hands shivering, he immediately dialed his best friend's number. 

"Hello?"

Youngbae picked it up on the first ring. 

"It's over."

"What is?"

"Us. Dara. We're over."

"Holy ! Are you okay, bro?"

He's suddenly at lost for words. Even I don't know the answer to that. He thought. 

"Wait, don't answer that. It was a dumb question."

A ghost of relief visited him until his best friend asked him... 

"What happened?"

Dara just came in after work. I welcomed her with a hug — like how I always do. But today... today is different. 

"I'm sorry."

She said. No — she chanted it. I looked down at her tear-stricken face questioningly. 

"Why are you sorry?"

She's crying. 

"Let's end this."

Did I hear her right?

"End what?"

Please... don't. 

"Us."

Feelings have left my body. I felt numb. 

"Let's talk."

I said as my body leaves her. She's leaving me. 

We sat in the dining table, adjacent to each other. The place where we used it to feel joy will now be the place where we mourn.

"I fell out of love."

I can't believe our seven-year relationship will end like this. I'd rather we fought. I'd rather she cheated on me. But nope. She fell out of love. 

I couldn't help but wonder where it went wrong? Was it my doing? Am I not enough? Can we no longer fix it through?
