Well that was interesting.

Hah! Wow! What a show?

Rory stayed glued to his seat as he saw the tall protective guy leave the cafe after he got dumped.

If her name wasn't Stella what was it?

Rory shook his head and leaned back putting his hands behind his hand interlacing them. "What did I get myself into?"

He couldn't help but laugh at ever little scene that happened in his mind like a mini movie. He got lied to by a beautiful girl showing her true colors. He got threatened by a protective older brother who is clearly in love with her.

The smile on his face lingered as he stared at his phone and saw it light up a few times. He ignored it for a few minutes and grabbed it. He saw a few incoming messages from a few people.

Gwen.

Chloe.

Olivia.

He smirked seeing the names and their pictures he got from a month ago. He couldn't believe he thought he was falling for someone who was a fake. He didn't need that either and he had a few backups just in case it didn't work out. He deleted the so called "Stella" from his phone and messaged the other girls.

Olivia was in the area and he made a plans to meet her elsewhere.

Gwen lived in his area just a few blocks down and they hung out a few times for a smoke and a little fun.

Chloe lived in New York, the city that never sleeps. He got to visit her once and it was a good time.

But when he met Stella and gotten to know her, he couldn't help but really like her and she was beyond beautiful in her pictures. He added her to his list of fun girls but felt a certain pull to her though. He told her things that the others didn't know. It felt good to have someone who wasn't just around for fun even though it did cross his mind.

He was just waiting on the right moment. Clearly, it didn't go that way.

I'll just stick to my fun.

You only live once right?

Rory collected his things and hauled a taxi going to the next address to meet a girl that is up for distractions.

- - -

It had been hours.

Four to be exact.

Kris was waiting sitting on the sofa staring at his cell phone that was just still and black. He had his elbows propped on his thighs as he leaned forward, with his hands laced together.

Where is she?

Should I go out and look for her?

Ugh.. I hate this!

Kris did his best to distract himself and let Eun take her time in dealing with her big surprise and deal with the aftermath. He wished he was there watching her from a distance or next to her. He didn't care how, just as long as he was there with her.

He bit his bottom lip as his left leg started to go up and down. He was getting anxious. He desperately wanted to go out and search for her but then what are the chances of missing each other?

He didn't risk it.

He sighed putting his head down and stood up grabbing his phone. A messaged came in making his heart skip a beat but it went away knowing it was only Athena checking in.

Goddess of Wisdom:

Soooooo... how's it going?

Any progress?

Keep me posted cousin!

Kris rolled his eyes and didn't bother replying back. "There is a lot of progress with drama on the side."

He ran his fingers through his hair and heard a click coming from the other side of the door.

Sliver?

His heart raced quickly as he stayed in his place. He could go to her in a second but he didn't want to be overbearing in her space. Who knows how long she needed, yet a selfish part of him was still going to do what he planned on the list. He wasn't going to change his mind.

The door opened and Eun came inside shutting it behind her and locked the door. She turned around and saw Kris already standing on the other side of the sofa. "Hey."

"Hey." He answered her in soft voice. "I was starting to get worried. Do you want to talk-"

"No." Eun quickly cut him off and went straight to her room. She stopped at the entrance and butterflies filled her stomach from earlier when Kris cupped her face and her cheeks removing the tears away. "Kris?"

She heard him shuffling around the sofa and stood at the end of one side of the hallway with his hands in his pockets. "Yeah."

"Thank you." Was all she said and closed the door behind her, locking herself inside. She went to her drawers and got some comfy clothes for when she got out of the shower.

You're welcome.

He sighed again putting his head down. "What happened when she left? "

Normally, depending on the person, break-ups should be a cake walk. But for some, they take it harder to adjust and realize they are no longer bound to someone else. Then there are some who look for ways to numb the pain.

Eun ran the moment she stepped out of the cafe and went to a park to sit under a tall tree that gave her shade. She quickly took out her phone and texted Kris letting him know, she would see him later.

The park was the closest thing around the area and she need time to process what just happened. She need to clear her mind and think.

I broke up with him.

I did it...

Oh my gosh... I ended it.

She smiled to herself a few times like an idiot and yet when she felt the heavy weight lifted, there was a small lingering pain inside.

Why was that feeling there?

She didn't feel bad about it. She was happy to get rid of him for good. His unexpected surprise freaked her out and was a bit stalkerish. Who does that after only a month of dating? It was unbelievable.

In ways, Eun felt bad if she hurt him, although, he was with her for the wrong reasons and it was making her uncomfortable, frustrated that would soon turn into stress. Sometimes things work out and sometimes they don't.

Eun felt a few tears build up and slide down her cheek. She pulled her knees close to her chest and cried. She didn't cry for him, she cried for herself. For the stupid mistake she did. For starting a relationship with him and seeing how bad it turned out. She had been holding herself together to be strong to face the truth and she did.

Kris was right.

She was strong enough to end the relationship and not let him play any guilt card over her. Which he really didn't have anything on her. Maybe a few personal things like her hobbies, minor arguments with her parents but nothing serious. She played it safe by her name and number.

After crying the only person she thought about was Kris.

She wished he could come over and sit next to her as they watched the children play with their parents, people playing with their dogs, couples holding hands and talking amongst each other. She wanted Kris next to her giving her comfort, but this aftermath moment was for her.

Adjusting and time.

It was peaceful watching the people around her. They probably had their own problems as well but they always found the time to give themselves a break and do something fun. Eun would have her fun in a couple of days for her sessions in being a Lifeguard. It was a new distraction she was looking forward too.

She checked the time on her phone and saw a message from Athena.

Goddess of Wisdom:

I hope you are doing ok?

Any progress with Kris...?

Love you babe!

Eun rolled her eyes but smiled at Athena's helpful guidance. She cleared the messages and stayed in her spot for a little while longer, clearing her mind from everything.

The chapter is closed and a new one awaits me.

When Eun came out from the room, the kitchen night light was on and the lamp by the sofa. She made her way to the counter and saw something covered with a note on the side.

Since its late, I made you a snack.

Milk is in the fridge. Enjoy!

Eun put the note down and removed the table cloth to see two triangle shaped bread with peanut butter and jelly. She smiled feeling touched and turned to the fridge, opening it she saw the tall glass of milk.

"Thank you."

"Anytime."

Eun flinched upon hearing the deep voice around her. She turned and saw Kris leaning against one side of the entrance of the kitchen. "You're awake?"

He nodded with a half smile on his face. "I came for some water, but I was hoping to see you before bed. I want to make sure you eat something and if you were ok."

Eun picked up the plate of her sandwich and placed it on the other side of the counter for her to sit on the high stool. She walked around the counter and sat down but before she took a bite of her sandwich, she patted the stool next to her for Kris to join her.

He smiled and joined her. "Eat."

She grabbed half of the sandwich and took a bite from the corner. The sweet jelly filled along with something salty yet nutty. She took a sip of her milk and enjoyed the coldness going down. "I know your worried. I'm ok though."

"You sure?" Kris leaned his cheek on his right hand that was curled into a fist, with his elbow propped up on the counter.

Eun took another bite and hummed. "The moment I left Super Java, I needed to deal with the aftermath. It's just something I needed to deal with alone. If I had you there..." She swallowed her sandwich and used her tongue to flick the piece that was stuck on the top of . "I'd be embarrassed."

Kris sighed, using his left hand placing it on her thigh. "I wouldn't have said anything. If you wanted me there, I would've just been your handsome statue."

Eun laughed as the tears suddenly crawled up and before the escaped, she used her left hand to push one away and Kris did the other with his left hand. "I know it was stupid thing. I dont know why I did it. I just did."

Kris didn't want to add more fire to her guilt. So he asked her a question. "All in all, do you feel better or does it hurt?"

"I feel way better. I don't have to be glued to my cell phone anymore. As for the hurt part, I'm mostly mad at myself." Eun had eaten one half of the sandwich and drank half the milk.

"You don't need to beat yourself up Silver. No one is perfect and mistakes happen." Kris moved himself closer to her, putting his foot on the back of her stool and another in front under her feet. "Look at me," Eun bit the bottom of her lip before meeting eyes with him. "You did amazing dealing with that creep. You were strong enough to deal with that on your own. I mean, I could've caused a scene and punched him in the face."

Eun laughed again pushing her tears away and grabbed the cloth that covered her sandwich and blew into it, making Kris make a disgusted face. No matter, he would put it in the wash once she was done using it.

"But, that was your battle to face. I was there for support." He put his left hand on the back of her brown hair and used his thumb to a small section. "Tomorrow will be better. I promise."

As always, Eun was touched by his words. They shook away all the negative feelings she felt. She moved herself towards Kris, opening her arms and wrapped them around his neck, holding him tightly.

What would I do without you?

I'm sorry if I can't say it out loud...but I love you.

Eun closed her eyes and felt Kris sigh wrapping his arms around her waist, holding her tight. He pulled her closer as he placed his chin on her shoulder leaning into her hair, taking in the sweet relaxing scent of lavender.

I love you.

Feelings.

It's an interesting thing.

One moment you're laughing until you create tears and the next, your crying because of a pain that you've dealt with for so long and the pain lingers turning into anger and all you want to do is scream, letting it out.

The fear of being scared of your own feelings is scary but, when you come to terms with it. There is nothing stronger than feeling safe and loved by someone who makes it all better.

When the next day came, Eun and Kris spent most of the day inside. They had breakfast with a bit of teasing. Kris, again was in the kitchen making breakfast for Eun as a surprise. He was shirtless and that made him a target. Eun couldn't look away or stop staring at his precious body.

She bit her bottom lip wishing he put on a shirt so her wild thoughts would go away. She snarled and slouched on the sofa not wanting to blush anymore. But purposely, Kris would come to the sofa and ask her questions about how she wanted her eggs and if she wanted milk, orange juice or coffee.

Eun answered them keeping her eyes on Kris's but they stray to his collar bone, then to his pecks and down the line to the small square of abs.

That's it!

"Don't you own a shirt!" Eun half yelled at him annoyed.

Kris smirked with a nod. "I do."

"So why don't you put it on?" Eun questioned not moving from her place on the sofa.

"You can't say you don't enjoy staring at me shirtless." He having his back facing her.

OH. MY GOD.

I WILL DIE BECAUSE OF YOU!

"Am I right?" Kris turned and saw Eun baffled by his remark and he couldn't help but wink at her. "I'm y aren't I?"

Eun closed and glared getting up from the sofa and headed to her room. "Call me when breakfast is done."

Kris chuckled knowing he got her pretty well. He went back to cooking and turned off everything. He went to his room and put on a white shirt that was lose and comfortable. He went to her door and called her out with a smug look plastered on his face. Eun shoved him away and went to get her plate and orange juice taking it to the sofa. She ate in silence as they watched Riverdale. Eun watched where she left off and had to answer a tone of questions for Kris to understand what was going on. He was behind two seasons and she tried her best to keep him up to date.

During the afternoon, Eun and Kris played games.

They stopped watching Riverdale since Eun couldn't take it anymore answering the questions for Kris and told him to watch it on his own time.

The first game they played was cards. They played super sp
