Chapter 6. Cough Cough

~~~
Chou Tzuyu has had this splitting headache ever since she woke up and she thinks that she is having a cold. Her nose was stuffy, her body temperature was nearly 40 degrees Celsius, and was burning up. Tzuyu rarely catches colds, but when she does, the illness will be quite severe. She thought about spending the whole day buried herself in a blanket and sleep through the fever, but she couldn't miss the meeting between her and Sana. Tzuyu had already missed a meeting the last time because she had to take an emergency photo shoot. Surely, Sana would not like to be canceled for the second time. Especially when Seoul Week is approaching and the two still haven't finished the sketching for their project. Thinking so, Tzuyu sent Sana a message, saying that she wanted her to come to her house for the meeting. While she waited for Sana, she would go prepare for a little. She didn't want to look like a tired zombie.
About an hour later, Sana arrived with her cute niece Chun-Ja. Tzuyu opened the door and greet them, wearing a large bathrobe and tried to hide her flush face between the collars.
"You don't look so good." Sana immediately commented.
Tzuyu quickly brushed her off, "I'm okay."
Chun-Ja was ready to jump in Tzuyu's arms but she stopped the small girl right away. Tzuyu didn't want her to catch her cold. Chun-Ja pouted and stared at Tzuyu like an abandoned puppy and Tzuyu had to try really hard to ignore her gaze.
Sana couldn't careless, she went inside and put all her things on the sofa and the wooden table in the living room. Afterward, she did not hesitate to drag out her laptop and start working.
Chun-Ja, on the other hand, worriedly followed Tzuyu. Tzuyu didn't want her to get too close. She had heard somewhere saying that a child's immune system is very weak.
Tzuyu went into the kitchen to make Sana's coffee and poured a cup of orange juice for little Chun. After a few weeks of working with Sana, Tzuyu knew how the designer likes her coffee.
Tzuyu bent down to look at Chun, who was still staring at her with those gleaming phoenix eyes. She caught an image of herself through Chun-Ja's innocent, bright eyes. She smiled at the baby girl.
"Can you help me bring these to the table?"
Little Chun nodded furiously, she tiptoed and grabbed the two drinks from the kitchen table and carried it outside the living room.
Tzuyu also went to the living room and sit with Sana and the baby girl.
Sana was completely oblivious to her surroundings and was only focusing on her sketches. Whenever Sana was in a deep concentration mode, there was something about her that reminded Tzuyu of the enthusiasm and passion of youth. That made her admire Sana a little. Although she thought the woman would be better off if she would stop talking.
"Hey, have a look at this." Sana used a commanding intonation, pushing all of the sketches she had drawn earlier to Tzuyu.
Tzuyu frowned instantly. Would it kill you to say please?
Despite her headache and dizziness, Tzuyu tried to look over the sketches that Sana had prepared. Everything looks perfect. Precise lead lines, the costumes were stunning and appealing. The designer even named several pieces.
Tzuyu coughed several times while looking through the sketches and Sana immediately reminded her not to put germs all over her stuff. Tzuyu just wanted to strangle her right there.
She could easily sort out which pieces to discard and which to keep. In just half an hour, she finished the work and split it into two piles for Sana.
"The left is good to go. The right is not." Tzuyu explained, pointing to the two piles.
"Yah, why are you rejecting so much?!" Sana frowned.
Sana's definition of 'so much' is 12 out of 50 outfits. So Tzuyu had to explain why she needed to eliminate her 'amazing sketches'. Outlining the error that needed to be fixed in the outfits, it takes another half hour. Not to mention the time she took to argue with Sana.
After that, Tzuyu was extremely tired, she leaned back on the sofa, covered herself with a nearby blanket, and closed her eyes.
"Hey, what is the reason for this one again?" Sana called out to Tzuyu but she was too tired to be able to have a proper conversation with her.
"Later ..." Tzuyu whispered wearily.
Chun-Ja couldn't help but feel worried. She dropped her Ipad, approached Tzuyu, and put her forehead next to Tzuyu's forehead. The little girl was horrified when she realized that Tzuyu's temperature was alarmingly high.
"Sana ah, I don't think Tzuyu is okay..." Little Chun-Ja said sadly. She looked at Sana with teary eyes.
"Probably because she was staying up late last night! Tzuyu ah, wake up!" Sana called out louder but Tzuyu refused to answer.
She frowned and quickly stood up to approach Tzuyu and tried to shake the model.
"Let me sleep a little unnie." Tzuyu said weakly.
She widened her eyes in surprise at the weakness in Tzuyu's voice. She touched her forehead and frowned because she didn't know why her temperature was so high. Is it okay for this idiot to work with such a high fever?
"Mommy..." Little Chun-Ja pleaded as if expecting her to take care of Tzuyu.
Sana sighed. She immediately took out her phone and ordered a portion of hot porridge and picked up her bag to go buy medicine for Tzuyu.
"Mommy will come back later, okay?" Sana whispered into Chun's ear and kissed her on the cheek, hoping she would calm down.
Chun rubbed her teary eyes and obediently waited for Sana to go buy medicine. She always knows she can count on her mother. When Sana returned, the food delivered as well. She carefully poured the steaming hot porridge into the bowl and took it to the sofa where Tzuyu was still asleep.
"Tzuyu ah, eat some porridge and go to sleep." Sana brushed aside one of hair for Tzuyu and gently caressed her head.
Tzuyu struggled to open her eyes, her whole body ached and her face was blushing furiously. Tzuyu looked at the bowl of porridge on the table and looked at the worried faces of Sana and little Chun-Ja.
"Did you order porridge?"
"Who else, you idiot? Hurry up and eat!" Sana changed to a cranky tone right away.
Tzuyu forced herself to sit up and slowly eat the porridge. While she was eating, Sana for some reason kindly her hair, act like she was comforting a child. Tzuyu secretly smiled at that. It turned out the obnoxious designer also has a sweet side.
