Chapter 2. Have We Met?

~~~
People said that change makes our day-to-day operations more interesting, fun, and strangely magical. Sometimes an unexpected turn of events will leave you smiling, but other times it can leave your jaw drops open, unable to breathe, unable to speak, and totally stunned at what fate has in store.
Never in a million years would Sana thought she'd be standing next to her 8-years-old-daughter at the age of 24 while she asked her mommy for some pearl lotion and happily applied it all over her face before going to bed. What kind of 8 years old kid uses lotion anyway?
"Babies skin are sensitive you know." Sana reminded.
"But I'm not a baby, mommy." Chun-Ja scrunched her little nose.
Sana slightly chuckled to herself. "The last time someone called me that was when I took this one girl to bed and-"
Oh crap!
"Why would someone called you mommy in bed?" Chun-Ja innocently asked.
"Never mind!"
Chun-Ja finished with putting on the lotion, she jumped on Sana's bed and got under the covers. She held Sana's stuffed squirrel tightly to her chest. The stuffed squirrel was covered in her mother's sweet scent, making her felt very cozy and warm.
Sana also turned off the light and went to lie down with her. She suddenly felt strangely nervous, unable to believe this was her first time sleeping with her daughter.
 "Why can't I know more about your father?" Sana asked softly. The little girl turned to look at Sana and took her hand.
"I'm afraid saying too much will affect the future."
"You came here to change my life? In what aspect to be exact?"
"Umm... I can't say it yet." Baby Chun-Ja whispered. The truth was she felt very scared of the fact that she was here. She has this big responsibility that she had to carry while making sure that she wouldn't ruin everything. Just one mistake and the future could be totally messed up.
"How did you come here? When will you return to the future?" She looked into the confused eyes of her baby girl who seemed to be speechless with her questions.
Little Chun could not give a scientific explanation for why she was here. She didn't want to confess to her mother that she had made a wish to go back and fix everything just because the future was too dreadful.
"I came here thanks to a time machine!" She made up a stupid lie and just hoped that Sana wouldn't ask for more.
"Wait, people have time machines in the future?" Sana suspiciously asked. This sounded way too fictional.
"I ... I secretly used the time machine my friend's father was building. I specifically chose this year because I know this was the year that you participated in Seoul Fashion Week for the first time and there will be many changes in your life. I have programmed the time data for the time machine before coming here, I will return when you and daddy fell in love. " Little Chun-Ja calmly explained.
She had to admire her ability to lie. It was better than saying she came here by some kind of strange supernatural phenomenon which she could not explain by herself. She didn't want her mother to take her to the police station again.
 "Eh, so me and your dad are about to meet?" Sana brightened her eyes upon hearing about her future 'husband'. A gentleman who does not cower to outside forces, he is strong, and true to his word. She wouldn't mind if he is rich as hell and know how to pamper her like a true princess. Chun-Ja was pretty good looking so he must have a handsome godlike face. The more she thought about him, the more excited she became. Sooner or later, she will have to leave her carefree bachelorette days behind and settle down anyway. Might as well do it when her daughter was here and can guild her in the path of finding true love.
Little Chun-Ja sighed. "Forget what I just said."
"Hey, how handsome is my hubby? Ryan Gosling? Bradley Cooper? Or Channing Tatum?"
"Forget it." Chun-Ja rolled her eyes. She didn't know any of those guys. And how could her mother be so boy-crazy?
Little Chun pulled the blanket over her head and closed her eyes to sleep. She didn't want to deal with Sana's conundrum.
Sana grinned and put her arms around her baby girl. The girl's sleeping was so cute, just like a tiny puppy. Sana couldn't help but take a photo of the little rascal. Her crimson hair was unique and beautiful, it has an exotic violet-red shade that blends red and purple together. The rich hue, which was highly fashionable and trending right now. She wondered if it was her or her husband that made little Chun dye her hair.
And although Sana didn't know what had happened to make the little rascal got on this time-traveling crazy journey, Sana was extremely pleased to meet her.
A daughter is a precious gift. There is nothing she wouldn't do to keep her daughter safe from harm.
~~~

Today she woke up earlier than usual. The first thing she saw was a set of crimson hair rubbing against her, followed by an angelic face of a sleeping baby girl. Sana gently shook little Chun. She stirred a little, rubbed her eyes, and yawned.

"Good morning, mommy." Little Chun curled up by her mother's side and smiled at Sana.

Oh right, I'm a mother now. Well, there goes my hookups, dirty booty calls, and meaningless until god knows when. Wait, why am I thinking about this?

"Wake up. I'm busy today, so you'll have to stay with your aunite Jihyo." Sana said and got up right away.

"No!! I don't want to stay with Jihyo!" Chun-Ja immediately shook her head.

"C'mon, don't be stubborn."

Little Chun showed a pouting face and glared at Sana. Sana didn't want to let her waste her time, so she quickly picked her up and took her to the bathroom.

Because she didn't have a toothbrush for children, Chun will have to use an adult toothbrush. She and her daughter brush their teeth while listening to kpop music and swayed their hips happily. Then Sana let her wore one of her Gucci limited shirts. The small women's size T-shirt can be worn like a dress on Chun-Ja tiny figure. Sana also tied a tiny belt on her waist. The girl looked not too bad. They would have to buy children's clothes for her later on.

"I like LV better than Gucci." The girl puffed her cheeks.

Sana rolled her eyes at her. As expected of her daughter, a snobby, spoiled little brat.

Afterward, Sana began to put on makeup and chose a beautiful outfit for her meeting with Chou Tzuyu. She wanted Tzuyu to admire her beauty. Her appearance has improved a lot since college. Sana was once on the list of 'Top 10 youngest and most beautiful designers in Seoul' by Vogue Korea magazine. She was very confident in herself, from the way she held herself, to the way she spoke, to that look of unassailable confidence in her eyes said she could do it. But whenever she saw the flawless image of Chou Tzuyu on a billboard somewhere, she could not help but feel intimidated somehow. The supermodel always know how to hurt Sana's self-esteem in ways she couldn't explain. This was one of the reasons why she despised her.

Urgg, what could be working with Chou Tzuyu bring any good for me?

While waiting for her mommy to get ready, little Chun lay on her bed and arbitrarily played with her phone. This ancient device was truly hard for her to use. In the future people only need to wear intelligent contact-lenses and they will be able to do anything they want, from surfing the internet, callings to texting someone. Chun-Ja has never used a touch screen phone in her life. Mom said this is called a smartphone, more like a stupid phone.

The little girl curiously played around from one app to another. There's an app called Tinder, and when she clicked on it, she saw a bunch of nasty guys texted her mom. There was also another app called My Talking Tom, clicked on it will appear a stupid cat who would try to imitate her voice. Chun-Ja got so annoyed with his high-pitch voice that she stopped playing the app. Then she started to go into the photos section. There were lots of interesting pictures that mommy took with her girl gang. Nayeon, Momo, and Jihyo were really beautiful when they were young! Then she presses on an album called 'Myself 🖤' and...

"Ewww !!!" Little Chun-Ja shouted as loudly as she could, covering her eyes with her hand right away.

She accidentally saw her mom's ies! Gross!

"What's going on?!" Sana asked from her dressing room.

"Nothing!" She answered and quickly grabbed her mother's phone again. Well, her childhood has to be ruin somehow right?

The little girl clicked on the app called Schedule. A quick glance at her mother's schedule showed that she would have an appointment with Chou Tzuyu at a cafe shop at 2 pm. Little Chun's eyes brighten when she saw Tzuyu's name.

"MOMMY!!" She instan
