“We’re gonna get another noise complaint, I swear,” Soyeon mutters under her breath. Soojin silently agrees.

Having finished half of the ice cream tub and riding the sugar high, Yuqi and Shuhua are now in the middle of an extremely heated Mario Kart tournament, sitting on the floor with their eyes trained on the TV (Soojin put new batteries in the remote control).

“Take that!” Yuqi yells as her character zooms past Shuhua’s. “Red shell in your !”

Shuhua growls as her rank drops, “I’m gonna get you for that.”

Yuqi expertly drifts when rounding a bend, cackling. “Who’s the queen of Mario Kart? Who? Hmm?” she crows, seeing that she’s currently in first place, “That’s right, it’s Song-“

“HAHAHAHAHA!” Shuhua suddenly screams with glee, jumping to her feet, nearly trampling over Soojin’s toes. “BLUE SHELL, !”

“WHAT THE NO-“

Soyeon tries to calm them down, “Guys, can you please-“

“EAT MY DUST, WOOKS!” Shuhua hollers triumphantly, waving her arms in the air in a strange victory dance once her character zooms across the finish line. “I WIN, I WIN, I WIN, IIIIII WIN!”

Yuqi collapses on the floor in defeat, staring soullessly at the ceiling while Shuhua leaps onto Soojin’s lap and stamps her cheek with a big kiss. “Yahh,” Soojin complains, but she can’t hold back the smile that creeps up on her face as her arms automatically wrap around Shuhua’s waist.

Soyeon crouches next to Yuqi. “You okay there, babe?”
