Third P.O.V

The sound of screeching tires, the screams, the loud bang—the hypnotizing face of Kim Sojung and his hand on my waist, while his other hand stopping the van

Everything passed just like in one ...but a specific thing that keeps running in my head

H..how did he stopped the van just by a bare hand?—And how did he get close in seconds? And more importantly why can't he just tell me..?

There's a lot of questions that keeps running around my head but for sure none all of them will be answered if I didn't do something

"Hey, how you doing?"

H-huh? Oh it was...Hui

"oh um, I'm fine, so what's up?"

I know my answer is timid and awkward but what can I do?

but instead of focusing on Hui, my vision shift at three person behind him smiling or should I said laughing with each other

"So..? You up for it?"

seems like I was paying attention at the wrong person

"About what?"

"To the uh prom? You wanna go? With me? If that's alright?"

prom....

"Prom..right, uhm well as much as I want too, I uhm can't, sorry"

"Why not?"

... now I have to make an excuse

"Uh I'll be....at my hometown Cheongju for a couple of days! Yeah yep that's uh...right!"

that probably sound so ridiculously stupid..

"How about the other weekend?"

can we end this already

"Nope, sorry"

"Is that so.." he mumbled feeling defeated as he started to walked away, before he could get further away I spoke

"You should go and ask Kyulkyung, she'd probably be glad about it"

"Kyul? Maybe I guess"

As Hui walked towards our bus, Sojung was staring at me with the same frustration in his eyes

I too—stared back, expecting for him to quickly turn away but to my surprise he didn't avoid instead he continued to gaze at me with intensity both of us neither wouldn't look away until Mr. Lee called

"Come on! The bus' about to go!"

Can someone please, just pleaseee tell me why am I here except that this is trip at the greenhouse??

I was too occupied in my head that I didn't saw a tall eight headed person that's blocking my way— I didn't bother talking or having some interaction with him but of course failed...

"What's in Cheongju?"

...since he started asking me..about CHEONGJU!?

"..how did you know about that?"

I don't know but everytime I'm talking to him I feel so small..so vulnerable

"You..you didn't answer my question"

"you don't even answer any of mine so..you didn't even said hi to me"

"..Hi"

of course short forced reply, nothing new

"aren't you gonna tell me how did you stopped the van?"

"Yeah, I had an adrenaline rush, it's very common you can search it up"

"Museums...that's what's in Cheon—"

that was a close one

"Can you atleast watch were you walk?!" he whispered shoutly

tsk..now he's the one who's angry?? I seriously can't take this guy's problem

"Wait..Look I know I'm being rude or angry all the time, I just think it's the best way—"

"what? I don't get it"

"SinB!"

huh? Kyul?

"SinB! Look!—oh"

As Kyul got in between us he left with a frown plastered in his face

"What is it?"

"You didn't tell me, you and Sojung are friends"

"We..we aren't friends Kyul"

We don't even get along well together—but why am I feeling a sudden bitterness as those word left my mouth

"Really? Then why—" she forced.

"Really." I answered to avoid more of her questioning

"Right fine.."

"So what are you so happy for?"

"Hui just asked me to prom!"

"Is that so? I'm glad to hear it then"

"You know, I thought he'd gonna ask you so.."

"It's alright, I wanted you to be his partner anyways"

"I mean is it not weird, specially we all know he wanted to ask you"

"Nope, zero weirdness. Even if I would come I won't be accepting it and you guys look good together"

"Right!"

All throughout the walk inside the greenhouse, the only words that was stuck in my head was the words Sojung said earlier—best way? Best way for what? What does that mean?

"Look!"

"What the eww"

"SinB look, it's a worm!"

these bunch of idiots are seriously, nevermind they're always like this anyways

"Eww"

"Ahahahahaha look!"

"Hey Eric stop it!!"

they really are bunch of kids..

"SinB."

What does he want now? Earlier he just left me there and now he decided to show up again? What is he?

"What do you want now?" I answered annoyed

"SinB..we‐we shouldn't be friends"

Huh? All of a sudden

"you probably should thinked about that before" I hissed through my teeth

"What?"

I stopped my steps and looked at him

"you could have just save yourself from all these regret"

"Re..gret?" my words and tone obviously caught him guard "Regret from what?"

"for not letting that stupid van crush me.."

As I said those words, he stared at me in utterly disbelief

When he finally said something, he almost sounded mad

"You think I regret saving you?"

"I can see that you do I just.." I answered

"You.Don't.Know.Anything" he's definitely mad

"Hello! Are you going with the same bus?"

It was his sister..Yewon and Yunseo

"No. Our bus is full"

After having a staring contest with him, he turned his face away, with a scowl and a clenched jaw, as he knocked the bus door and enter with a heavy footsteps

Yewon and Yunseo also went inside and bothered not saying anything after their oldest speaked coldly and followed him

What does he meant about me not knowing anything..?

"Oh? SinB, how's the trip?"

"It was good.."

"Really?"

no..it wasn't...

"Hm"

"Glad to hear that then"

"Yeah I guess so..Are you done?"

"Yep"

"You should call your mother she was asking about you, again"

"It's your fault, you shouldn't have called her because of the 'almost accident' she'll probably call every minute"

"Yeahhh sorry bout that"

"It's fine dad, I'll call her"

"Alright"
