ii. First Date, Kind of Nervous.

again

Her hands trembled as she watched the apartment doorbell. A bouquet of flowers on her left hand, her right one brushing over the button. She took in a deep breath before finally pressing the button. A short melody was heard from the inside, followed by steps coming closer. She hadn't even seen her yet, but she was blushing already. She hid her face behind the colourful flowers as she heard the door get unlocked.

"Momo?" She heard the person laugh.

"Um... These are for you." She shoved the flowers onto her chest before looking down at her feet anxiously. The latter took the flowers to her nose and inhaled the aromas slowly.

"Wow, Momo..." She paused to observe the flowers, "These are beautiful... thank you."

Momo simply gulped as she continued to stare down at her feet. She would've stayed doing that until tomorrow, but a gentle tug on her arm made her lookup.

"Can you wait for me here? I'm missing a few things." The person flashed her a smile, exposing their bunny teeth. Momo smiled shyly before following them in.

"You can sit down on the couch, I'll be ready in a few minutes." The girl pointed at an expensive couch by the balcony door. Momo nodded and made her way onto the seat.

The woman's home was expensive... She started feeling self-conscious about her residency. It was a small apartment in downtown Gangnam, while this one was in the more expensive area of the city.

She sat down on the couch and looked out the balcony. A view of the whole city was seen from there. She looked back at her lap and took something from her front pocket. It was a small box from a jewellery store. She had stopped by just to buy the girl some earrings. Her thumb roamed the small leather box before putting it away with a deep and saddened sigh.

She wasn't sure why such a beautiful (and well known) model had accepted to go out on a date with her. She bit her bottom lip and she started thinking about the woman only accepting out of pity.

Her mind raced onto older memories. Memories with someone she swore was her soulmate or had been. Her old high-school sweetheart. The girl she had made most of her memories with. The girl who had once been her source of love, support and happiness.

The girl she lost contact with from one day to another. No trace, no answers, nothing.

"Okay, I'm ready!" A loud voice made her jump. She looked back up and saw her there. Showing off her outfit with the same bunny-teeth smile.

"Oh wow... you look great, Nayeon!" She could feel her lips curve into an amused smile. It was impossible not to get lost in the girl's wide smile and charming eyes.

"Why thank you," Nayeon gave her a bow before walking up to her. She took her hands into her own and tilted her head cutely.

"Should we get going then?" She asked her with a nose-scrunch.

"Ah! Yeah... Sorry, I spaced out." Momo chuckled nervously before hopping up. She noticed Nayeon look her up-and-down before smiling at her again.

"No worries, I love your outfit by the way... You're too cute." Nayeon squeezed her cheek playfully before taking her hand and guiding her out of the residency.

Momo smiled innocently before looking down at her outfit. A white turtle neck under a pastel pink overall dress. Receiving a compliment from a model took her by surprise.

"So... what do you have planned?" The latter interrupted her thought train. Momo looked up again, realizing they had reached the elevator now.

"Oh... well," With her free-hand, she fidgeted with the dress, "I know a good restaurant and there's a bike rental place I like."

"Sounds cute..." Nayeon winked at her.

Momo smiled at her before they stepped into the elevator shaft. Nayeon leaned on the wall, still not letting go of her hand.

"I can't believe I'm going out again... it's been forever!" She laughed. Momo giggled alongside her before resting on the wall as well.

"Same here... haven't gone out since high-school." She confessed with a soft scoff. The latter's head perked up. Her expression was full of confusion.

"You're joking, right?"

"Nope." Momo smiled at her.

"Why?" Nayeon let go of her hand and simply stared at her. "You're so attractive, how did you go single for so long?"

"That's a story for another time." Momo winked at her. Nayeon rolled her eyes before leaning her head on her shoulder.

"I guess that means we have to go out again." She told Momo.

She felt her cheeks burn as a grin formed on her face. She giggled softly before nodding.

"I guess it does." Momo smiled at her feet.

-

"I messaged you the address," Momo said as she sat down on a Mercedes. Nayeon made the car run before closing her door and picking up her phone.

"Alright, Hirai." She navigated it before finally putting a map on the screen. She handed Momo and phone.

"Huh?" Momo stared at her confused.

"Put music, silly." Nayeon scrunched her nose again. Momo blushed before taking the phone. Those little nose scrunches were making her heart weak.

"Okay... don't judge my music taste though." Momo smiled before handing her back the phone.

"I won't, I won't," Nayeon promised.

After laughing for a bit and joking around, they finally pulled out from the parking lot. They were met by a street crowded by cars.

"." Nayeon sighed, "With this traffic... we'll get there when it closes."

"Nah... we'll be alright." Momo promised her.

The two sat quietly until an oddly familiar voice rang from the music. Momo stared at the screen and blinked. The voice reminded her of someone, but she couldn't put her finger onto who exactly.

"You good?" Nayeon teased with a gentle punch to the shoulder. Momo pursed her lips before nodding an unsure yes.

"Sorry, this voice was familiar..." She stared at the title, "What's the artist?"

"strawberry milk." Nayeon smiled at her before patting her thigh with one hand.

Momo blushed once again and quickly forgot about the voice. Instead, she started getting to know her date. After all, she had met her while working for her agency. She had seen her around modelling, but that time she was the one shooting her. She had such a captivating beauty, she couldn't help but ask her out before she never got the chance to do so again.

"Why'd you accept going out with me tonight." Momo chuckled as she ran her fingers gently over the girl's hand. The woman had big hands, that caught Momo's attention. She raised the woman's hand and compared her own while the woman chuckled.

"Well, I saw you in some other shoots. You were really cute and young for a professional photographer." Nayeon explained. While doing so, she wrapped her fingers around Momo's. Momo smiled shyly as the woman placed their hands on her lap. She felt as she circled her hands with her thumb, making Momo giggle shyly.

"Oh... You really think I am cute?" Momo smiled with her cheeks burning bright red.

"Obviously! And you were so kind as well... I thought I'd give it a shot." Nayeon giggled softly.

"This feels so surreal."

"Why?" Nayeon tilted her head curiously. Momo couldn't help but notice the delicate facial structure the woman had. Her eyes dropping a few times to steal a glance of the pink lips she had.

"I am going out on a date with a supermodel." Momo reminded her while laughing, "and I work as a photographer."

"Well... like Rihanna said, 'we found love in a hopeless place.'" She sang the line playfully, but her vocals made Momo's jaw drop.

"You're a model AND a singer? Wow, I really can't believe my luck." Momo joked.

"Oh stop it," Nayeon dropped her head, blushing this time.

"Anyways, what's your mindset with dates?" Momo asked, wanting to know more about her.

"Well," Nayeon laid her head back on the seat, "Let's see." She tilted her head pensively as she tried thinking of an answer.

"On the first date, if I really like the person... I'll be touchy. Hold their hand, hug them, lean on them." As she went on, a smile perked up. Momo understood she was describing what she was doing right then. She felt her squeeze her hand.

"And... If I like the date, I probably invite them to stay over for the night and continue with a mini date... like eating ice-cream while watching movies." She giggled, "If that's fun, I'll probably sneak a kiss or two while we watch movies."

"I see, I see." Momo smirked, "Good thing I planned a fun date then." She winked.

"Oh," Nayeon blushed again, "How about you?"

"Well, it's complicated." Momo sighed, "I only dated one person, and she was my closest and dearest friend. It just came naturally, you know? One day we were just close, then I started getting nervous around her all of a sudden, and then we started going out..."

"Oh, I see then." Nayeon nodded her head. There was a short silence after that.

"Can I ask you something kind of weird..." Nayeon asked after a while.

"Go for it."

"Did you guys ever like, you know... do that?"

Momo chuckled, "No. We didn't... I'd be brand new to that if I try."

"I see." Nayeon had a devilish smirk on her face, "Want to know what I do on the third date?"

Momo eyed her up and down before breaking into a little smirk as well, "Please, go on."

Nayeon moved from her seat and leaned towards her ear. Her breathing was warm on her skin, causing her to shiver. She smiled before whispering, "I take them to bed."

Momo gulped as her mind imagined the scenario. Her cheeks starting to burn once again. The woman chuckled softly before whispering again, "And I'm planning on going on that third date with you... princess."

"Nayeon... we just met." Momo giggled nervously. She felt the woman's hand grab her chin and turn her towards her. She was very close from her face. She gulped before looking up at her.

"I know..." Nayeon smirked as her eyes travelled from her eyes to her lips, "It's just... I have a good feeling about you, Hirai... A really good one."

"I'm flattered, but the cars are moving." Momo giggled innocently. Nayeon rolled her eyes before plumping back down onto her seat.

"Right, I need to drive." She laughed before placing her hand on her thigh and rubbing it gently. Momo smiled at the gesture and leaned onto the seat.

"Okay, I have another question for you." Nayeon smiled, "What made you realize you're into girls."

"The only person I caught feelings for was a girl... kinda self explanitory." Momo laughed, "You?"

"Girls are ing hot... no cap needed. Like, sure. Guys have abs and are handsome, but girls? Artwork. So beautiful each and every single one of them."

"I see." Momo laughed. As they continued to chat, a notification went off from Nayeon's phone.

"Oh, could you check that for me?" Nayeon smiled. Momo nodded and took the phone from the little stand. It was a tweet.

"strawberry milk has released a new single: peaches." Momo read her the message.

"Oooh. Play it!" Nayeon squealed happily.

"Alright." Momo smiled and pressed the song. Again, a familiar voice caught her attention. She read through her discography, her eyes widening the single titles.

my first love - 1st single

was a girl - 2nd single

called... - 1st mini album

peaches - NEW SINGLE

She stared down at the screen in confusion. It must be a wild coincidence. Many people share similar voices, and there's a lot of people called Momo out in the world. She shook her head disregarding the connection.

"For being a new artist, s.m makes some nice music don't you think?" Nayeon smiled as she moved her head to the rythm.

"Yeah... but the lyrics are so sad, 'I'm sorry I left so suddenly' 'You'll always be my baby' 'I promise I'll find you and ask your hand in marriage'" Momo pouted. The lyrics reminded her about her again. While Korea had made her life better, she still couldn't let her go. She still loved her even though she had broken her heart years ago.

"You're right... my first love was hella sad too now that you point it out." Nayeon pouted, "I wonder if she's alright."

"What's her real name?" Momo asked with a frown,

"No one really knows." Nayeon shrugged, "She's kept her identity hidden so far."

"I wonder why..." Momo shrugged as well.

After a while, they finally made it to the restaurant. It was a small Jokbal spot, but a good one. She had found it the first year she had arrived. She had made sure to move close to it just to enjoy eating in it. As the two made their way in, Nayeon grabbed her hand carefully.

The young waiter's jaw almost dropped when he saw her walk in. He screamed for his manager as he hopped in spot.

"MANAGER-NIM, THERE'S A MODEL!" He jumped up and down before walking up to them and offering her a hand, completely disregarding Momo.

"May I take you to a private booth, Miss?" He tried being charming. Momo frowned as she stared at the interaction go down. It wasn't even official, but she was jealous already.

"Excuse me, can't you see I brought a date?" She gestured over at Momo. The waiter frowned at her before looking back at Nayeon.

"Why would you bring Momo on a date? All she does is sulk about her work and eat Jokbal at three A.M." He shook his head before guiding them into the reserved booth, "Follow me please."

After they took a seat, Nayeon noticed Momo's sulky expression.

"He's kind of a jerk, isn't he?" She giggled. Momo giggled as well as she nodded her head.

"I mean, he isn't wrong tho."

"Shut up, Momo! You're stunning, talented and kind. What is there not to like about you?" Nayeon flashed her a gummy smile as she chuckled softly. Momo hid her face with her hands as she felt herself getting flustered.

The dinner was fun. They mostly joked around, something Momo didn't expect to happen. She had almost spat out her juice a few times because of the woman's unexpected dirty jokes. After eight years of avoiding dates, she finally found herself getting butterflies again.

While they biked around Gangnam, Nayeon asked her to stop by the river. Momo nodded and hopped off her bike before going over and helping Nayeon off her own.

"What a gentleman." Nayeon laughed before pecking her cheek.

Momo lowered her head joyfully before following her to the railing. They stared at the reflection of the lights on the water. Momo sneaked her hand onto Nayeon's while doing so. The two watched the water silently.

"You know, Momo." Nayeon spoke up after a while, "I haven't had this much fun in a long time, thank you."

"It's no problem, Nayeon." Momo smiled at her. Nayeon leaned against Momo's shoulder.

"You're literally an angel... How can someone be so amazing and charming." Nayeon chuckled.

"If I'm an angel, then you have to be a goddess." Momo went on calmly, "Ethereal, kind, funny, caring, beautiful... You can't be real..." She felt Nayeon raise her head from her shoulder gently. She turned her head to face her. The woman was blushing, but had a look of awe in her face.

"You really think so?" Nayeon smiled.

"Yeah..." Momo leaned in ever so slightly, not really knowing what to do. She stared at the woman's lips once again. She noticed her leaning closer too. She pressed her forehead against her, breathing calmly. The only noise being the gentle stream.

"Momo... Is it alright if I kiss you right now?"

"Please."

Nayeon smiled before pushing herself tenderly onto her. Momo's hand slowly raised up to the woman's face and cupped it. She felt Nayeon grab her waist and pull her closer, resting a hand on her neck.

Nayeon pulled away slowly and smiled at her, "Want to stay over tonight?"

"I'd love to."

"Then let's get going, okay? It's getting dark."

The car ride back to the apartment was calming. Nayeon simply hummed as she tapped her fingers on the wheel. Momo placed her hand on her thigh and stared into the streets. It was a beautiful, clear night. Something not very common for the city.

She was having a lot of fun, she really was, but she felt guilty. This wasn't Sana who held her hand, it wasn't Sana who kissed her, it wasn't Sana who was going to watch movies with her. It was someone else. Although Sana had been the same person who broke her heart in the first place, she loved her. She was going to love her forever.

"We're here, sleepyhead." Nayeon shook her arm gently, "Had a nice nap?"

"I fell asleep?" Momo looked around and noticed they were in the parking lot.

"Yeah... you kinda did." Nayeon smiled.

"Sorry." Momo looked away embarrased.

"Hey, it's alright." Nayeon giggled, "Let's go up?"

Nayeon had a big room. She had a big everything. Momo didn't know apartments could be so big, but then again, she was a model after all. She followed her into her walking closet where she struggled to zip down her dress.

"Hey, could you lend me a hand here?" Nayeon asked.

Momo took the zip and rolled it down, revealing the woman's skin. She looked away, thinking it wasn't her place to see.

"Don't be shy." Nayeon turned her around before pecking at her lips, "I don't mind you seeing me like this."

"But..."

"If I didn't like you as much as I do, you wouldn't be here right now." Nayeon smiled at her, "I want you to be here with me... don't be embarassed... and it's just a bra... it's not the end of the world either."

Momo nodded her head once again and waited for her to change. Nayeon was beautiful, she knew that, everyone knew that. Momo's eyes followed her slim figure as she took off the dress she had put on.

"I'll lend you some Pajamas." Nayeon explained to her. Momo nodded once again and simply smiled at her.

After a while, the two where cuddling on her bed. Momo leaned on her chest and watched the movie lazily as her eyes began to blink slower and slower. Nayeon played with her hair, running her fingers lazily through it.

"Hey Momo." Her voice was raspy by now.

"Im." Momo replied sluggishly.

"Has anyone told you how gorgeous you are?" Nayeon wrapped her arm around Momo's shoulder. Momo turned to face her, smiling dorkly at her.

"No.."

"Well you are." Nayeon stared at her before flipping her onto her back. She stared down at her devilishly before planting a tender kiss on her lips, followed by many on her neck.

"Oh!" Momo squealed when the girl's lips came into contact with her skin. It felt surprisingly nice, but still gave her shivers.

"Do you like that?" Nayeon looked at her worriedly.

"Yeah... it feels good, wow."

Nayeon scrunched her nose, "I know, right? Neck kisses are really nice."

Momo felt her plant a trail of kisses from her collarbone all the way up to her jaw. Nayeon went to her ear to ask her, "Have you ever gotten a hickey?"

"No." Momo whispered in return.

Nayeon lowered her head onto her neck and softly on it. Momo bit her lip trying to contain these new (and delightful) emotions.

"God, you're so cute." Nayeon laughed at her before kissing her again. Momo was starting to get used to the girl's soft kisses.

"I really like you, Nayeon." Momo confessed. Nayeon pecked her again.

"I know." She scrunched her nose at her, "I do too... wanna go out again some other time?"

"I'd love to." Momo smiled.

"Great."

"Great."

They continued to watch the movie after that. Momo gave into her tiredness and fell asleep on Nayeon. Nayeon giggled before tucking her in and clinging onto her. Momo's body was warm, it felt like hugging a heater.

That night, Momo dreamed about her.

Again.
