Kai felt really good after taking a bathe, it was as if the water had some healing properties in it, because all those aches he felt in his body were all gone. Just as he finished dressing and took a seat on the bed, Kai heard muffled voices coming from outside the chambers until gradually the voices became more clearer. A moment later, he heard Sehun and his sister talking. "Sehun please listen to me, you have–" "No, Kai had just woken up after days, he is not ready for the hunt. And it seems the Adamas In the mountains had affected him, I can't risk exposing him to more" "We can change the location, it doesn't have to be close to the mountains and he doesn't have to hunt, all he needed to do is to be present." Joo-hyun said and she sounded exhausted. "You know the council members won't let it slide, it's tradition if you want them to accept him." "They are not going to accept Kai so easily, you think this hunt will change anything? I don't trust them Irene." Sehun said and Kai could picture the frown on Sehun's beautiful face. "It might not change much but I was hoping they'll see a little into Kai's personality and understand he's no longer the enemy. And you don't have to trust them. Sehun let out a deep breath and said nothing. Kai waited for him to speak but he didn't and the next moment he was walking into the room. He smiled as soon as his eyes landed on Kai who now looked refreshed.  Kai stood from the bed and welcomed his husband with a kiss, oh how he'd wanted to this since the moment he saw his husband again. "You look exhausted my love." He said pulling away from the kiss. Sehun nodded, burying his face in Kai's neck. "The council members has organized a hunt and they want you to participate. It's a tradition of ours, the royal consorts have to participate to prove their worth." He lifted his head to look at Kai. "You don't have to prove anything to anyone as long as you don't want to." Kai smiled, reaching to brush Sehun's hair out of his face. "I am willing to–" "Kai, you don't–" Kai shook his head with a smile. "I've recovered enough to go on a hunt." He assured him, if the council members were looking for a hunt then Kai would give them one. But right now, his senses were engulfed in the sweet scent that came from Sehun, he wanted to bury his face deep and Inhale that honey like scent but he held himself because he knew if he tried, he wouldn't be able to stop at just that and now didn't seemed to be the best time to want to bed his husband. Sehun looked uncertain as he stared deep into Kai's eyes."are you sure?" "I am." Sehun let out a deep breath. "Alright" he nodded. "I'll let them know and prepare. We leave in an hour." Sehun said but he was fidgeting with the scabbard of his sword, he seemed to want to say something but for some unknown reason being hesitant. Kai hummed and remained silent as he waited for Sehun to say whatever was on his mind. Luckily it didn't take long for his husband to speak. "I've never get the chance to ask what actually happened." Kai had expected the question and he slowly sat on the bed, pulling Sehun to sit as well.
Letting out a breath, Kai looked over to his husband before he began to speak."Heechul died and Junmyeon blamed it on me." He said and watched as Sehun let out a shaky breath but he didn't say anything and Kai took it as a cue to continue. "He was shot inside his bedroom and I was the one that found him." Sehun's eyes widened and placed a hand over his mouth in confusion. "I–i don't understand." Letting out another deep breath, Kai continued to tell Sehun all that happened, from the moment he found his father bleeding in his bedroom to how his brother turned the blame on him. How he humiliated Kai and threw him into the dungeons, willing to execute him and any other person that was loyal to him. To how Hyoyeon and Taeyeon broke them out with the help of his cousin and finally how they got to Ilda. "Oh my love! I am so sorry to hear all this. I never knew you went through so much. Lord Jimin told me a little but he didn't say how Heechul died." Sehun placed a hand on top of Kai's, giving it a gently squeeze. Kai smiled at him and nodded.  "So what do you plan on doing now?" "I wish to take back my kingdom and help my people. I will send word to Namjoon when I am ready. At least I am not entirely helpless, I still have Uxtan to answer my call." "Ilda too" Sehun said and Kai raised an eyebrow. "Huh?" "You have Ilda too, I am going to help you get back your kingdom. My army will fight for you as well." Kai's eyes widened at that. The truth was he wasn't expecting this, he knew Sehun was a kind man but he never expected his husband to offer his army to help Enchancia. Kai didn't come to Ilda because he needed Sehun's help but only because he yearned to be with his husband again. No matter how much Kai appreciated the offer, he stll didn't wish to burden Sehun with his problems. Moreover, it did not matter if he was married to the king of Ilda, the feud was still there between the two kingdoms and it would be difficult for the warriors of Ilda to fight In the name of Enchancia's favor.  "Sehun I really appreciate it but I do not wish to burden you. And I swear to the goddess I didn't come here because of this. I just–" Sehun cut him off by cupping his face with both hands and offered him the most lovely smile Kai knew was meant only for him to see."I know my love, but I want to help. I also know you have Uxtan's army to control but think about it, Uxtan is not as big as Enchancia. Their army is strong but not grave in numbers. With Ilda and Uxtan combined I think we have a better chance on taking back our kingdom. What use am I as a king if I can't help you?" Sehun was right, with the full force of Enchancia's army on Junmyeon's command it would be difficult to win with just the lycanthropes– wait a minute, Sehun had said our kingdom, as in his and Kai?. "Our kingdom?" Kai couldn't help but ask and Sehun nodded. "That's right. Like I said earlier, I do not wish to continue to rule Ilda, I want my sister to take over but before I do that, I need to make sure things are going in her favor. My home is where ever you are Kai." Kai's breath hitched at those words. All those worries he had earlier now seemed irrelevant. Unable to form a word, Kai continued to stare at his husband for a while until Sehun demanded he say something. "I love you." Was what he said instead. Sehun giggled, brushed his lips against Kai's. "And I love you." He whispered. Kai kissed him breathless, and Sehun clinched onto him, kissing back with much passion. They only pulled away when they felt the need for air. "So you see, I have to do anything in my power to help my kingdom, Enchancia is not just your home but mine as well." All Kai could do was nod. "Thank you my love.  You're the best thing to ever happen to me." And he meant those words. Sehun gave him that lovely smile and Kai's heart skipped a beat. "The feeling is mutual." They shared a few more kisses after that, before Kai spoke again. "Your sister told me Chanyeol decided to stay in Dracoland. She said he fell in love with the place?" Sehun grinned. "That's right, he decided to stay there but not because he fell in love with the place but because he fell in love with someone. " "Oh really?" It came to him as a surprise, because he had never seen or known Chanyeol to show interest in anyone and now Sehun just told him his knight had fallen in love at first sight. "He asked me if he could stay and I gave him the permission to do so." "He's not coming back? Ever?" He was not used to not having Chanyeol with him but if that was what his knight wanted then Kai would have to respect his decision. After all Chanyeol was his own person and he have the right to choose the life he wanted and Kai wasn't going to hold him back. "I am not sure yet, I think he stayed for now to see if things are going to work out." Kai nodded. "Alright!" He smiled." I hope it does work out for him. It's high time he finds love too just like how I did." He said."I would like to go see Jimin and the others before the hunt." "Okay, Dame Seulgi will accompany you." Sehun said rising to his feet and Kai followed suit. Kai didn't know who she was but he nodded anyways.  Just like how Sehun said, the noble lady Seulgi– turned out she was the one that pulled him and Jimin up the chasm the other day– accompanied him to go see his people. He was receiving looks from the Ildans, guards and servants alike as they walked down the palace corridor, the lady beside him would glare and swing her sheathed sword a few times and Kai noticed how each person on the receiving end of her glare would cower, bowing there heads to avoid her eyes. He found himself chucking in amazement, turning slightly to look at her. "It seems they fear you." "They should, I am not to be messed with." She said, eyes looking straight ahead.  "You're tough, just like the princess." He commented and it was the truth, Dame Seulgi was the second lady he had seen who seemed more of a warrior than a noble lady.  A smile curved on her lips at the mentioned of the princess and Kai squinted his eyes, looking deeper into her face in search of the reason behind the smile. A smile of his own graced his face when he saw the actual reason. This lady was in love with the princess. "You love the princess don't you?"  She snapped her head to look at him and now it was a full smile that showed. "With all I have." He didn't expect her to confirm it so easily, he thought she was going to deny it since such relationship wasn't acceptable in their kingdom. But Kai couldn't deny the respect he suddenly felt for this lady, she wasn't afraid to say whom he loved and that required courage from someone who had been taught to keep away from homouality since birth."I am sure princess Joo-hyun feels the same." She didn't respond and instead nodded. When they reached Jimin's room, Kai pushed the door open– not used to knocking on his best friend's door– only to stop when he came face to face with Jimin being engulfed in a crying Jungkook's arms and Scott was laying between the two. He slowly closed the door not to disturb them and turned around to face Dame Seulgi.
"Why didn't you go in?" Kai made a gesture, pointing at the room behind him. "He's having a reunion with his lost love." "Lost love?" Dame Seulgi raised an eyebrow. "I'll just go see my uncles then."  "Oh sure," Seulgi shrugged and turned around. Minseok's and Jongdae's room was the last room located in the wing the Enchancians were staying at and the lady led him down the hallway. The moment he pushed the door open, Kai almost choked to death on his own saliva from the horrible sight that greeted him. His uncle Minseok was on all fours, head thrown back in obvious pleasure with his mouth slightly open, as Jongdae ed him from behind. "" Kai cursed, causing the two to look his way, Jongdae quickly pulled the bed cover to put it over them, leaving only his face out so he could see and talk to Kai. "Don't you know how to knock?" He scolded and Kai could hear his uncle Minseok's giggles coming from inside the covers.  "Sorry!" Kai hastily turned around and close the door shut as he went and just at the right time to see Seulgi looking at him an amuse expression on her face. "What?" "Why are out so quickly? I thought you wanted to see your uncles." "I can come back later." "Why? Are you uncles also reuniting with their lost love?" She smirked. "Something like that." "And why is you face so red?" She pointed out. Kai knew the lady before him was obviously taunting him. He groaned."Can we please not talk about it and let's just go?" He so much wanted to erase the last one minute of his life because he was sure, that image would hunt him for life. Just thinking about it made him cringe. "Where do you want to go next?" "No where, I'll just go back to my room" "I thought you wanted to see your people?" "I've changed my mind, I can see them some other time." It seemed he had a bad timing and it was better to just go back to his room for now, he wasn't sure what he was going to see next. She shrugged once again and swirled around to leave. Kai instantly followed after her, just as they rounded the corner, Jennie came in view, his cousin bowed deeply as she saw him."My Lord!" "Hey Jennie, how are you feeling?" Kai offered a smile. He was glad to see his cousin looking more like herself than how she looked when they left Enchancia. "I am fine now. Thank you." "Good." Kai smiled. "I am going to see my fathers!" She informed, straightened up and began to walk towards the direction they just came from. "No, no wait– do not go" he quickly stopped her by grabbing her arm. Jennie turned around to face him. "Why? Is everything okay?" She asked, obvious confusion on her face. "E-everthing Is fine, now is not just a good time to go see them." She debated for a moment before eventually nodding. "Alright." She said. "I heard you're going for a hunt. I would like to accompany you." Kai quickly nodded, anything to get her away from her fathers bedroom would be great.
