Jessica 's POV. The restaurant was brightly lit, but its ebony walls gave a feeling of intimacy. Taeyeon's friends sat at the corner of the restaurant chatting and laughing. As we approached them, someone suddenly held my hand. "Sooyeon?" I turned to find the culprit was non other than Sooyoung, my friend. "Sooyoung, hi!" I hugged her briefly, it's been awhile since I saw her, ever since this thing with Taeyeon started actually, I'm just so lucky for the little school break, if not it would have been a little complicated. "What are you doing here?" She asked looking around for my plus 1 I presume. "Oh I'm here with..." I turned to get Taeyeon's attention, but she was already gone to her friends. "My friend." Oh please Tae Tae, you could have chosen someone better." She said smugly and I lost my smile instantly. "Excuse me!" She ignored me again but I calmed a bit when I felt Taeyeon's hand in mine, gazing at her as she mouthed an apology. "Fany, Sooyeon is the one I'd chosen and if you value our friendship you'll accept it and move on." Taeyeon said pointedly, face solemn. "C'mon guys, we are here to celebrate our friend not fight." Yuri spoke. "Yeah, Fany that was way too much." Hyoyeon said. "Did anyone die?" Sooyoung asked suddenly, joining the table and successfully breaking the tensed atmosphere. "No, hey Soo, meet Taeyeon's fiancée Sooyeon, and Sooyeon this is my cousin Sooyoung also a medical student." Yuri introduced. "You're her fiancée?" Sooyoung confusingly asked. "Yeah." I said shocked by her sudden change of demeanor. "We need to talk now." She said sternly, avoiding their gaze, she took my hand and dragged me along with her, the rest of the girls just stared at us in confusion but I'm also confused on why Sooyoung was behaving this way? I sighed, 'I should have guessed she had some feelings towards me but I wasn't sure, Sooyoung was always nice with everyone, how am I supposed to know?' I had a hard time processing everything that happened today so many things bugging my mind. I was glad though, because I was able to solve the conflict between Sooyoung and I and she did understood. The car ride to the hospital was throughout silent, Taeyeon parked her car in front of the hospital and gazed at me. "So, what were you discussing with your friend earlier?" "You don't understand how happy I am to see you move again Soojung, you've been in and out of consciousness since these last few days, these are happy tears monkey." I said hugging her fragile body.
