Jessica's pov. Taeyeon's phone rang, drawing her from whatever her thoughts were. Fishing it from her pocket, She glanced at the screen and scowled. Seeing Taeyeon so frustrated did a lot to lighten my mood. I watched her stalk away to answer the call. It felt so damned good to be the one riling her up for a change, even if it meant telling a bald-faced lie just to achieve it. Bruising Taeyeon's ego was so worth it. 'Just .' I'd known the minute I had said those words that she disliked the classification. No doubt, her other girls must have been full of nothing but compliments and this was probably the first time she'd heard a woman say her lovemaking was 'not important.' Walking out of the bathroom, I almost bumped into her. Hastily, I spun around in an attempt to change my direction to somewhere else but she caught my hand just in time to stop me, her eyes hooded and face devoid of expression as she studied me for long moments without a word. I suppressed the urge to squirm beneath the onslaught of that brown gaze and forced myself to stand still. "We need to talk." Her tone, when she finally chose to speak was cold and distant. Despite my resolve, I felt a frisson of regret. Regret that such a wonderful night had been ruined. But that was certainly not my fault. "I told you there's nothing to talk about." I shut my mouth and held my breath as she slowly moved closer and glanced up, her brown, dark chocolate and rimmed in black eyes stared deeply into mine, making me weak. "We really need to talk, Sooyeon." she reiterated solemnly and I shrank, sulking with a pout. "Don’t give me that look," Taeyeon snaps, massaging her temples, I could see she was trying to hold her temper, but just barely. "Okay, we'll talk, later," I said. "But now we need to be at the hospital." I gave her a little smile and maneuvered my way to the direction of my sister and friend who sat waiting for us. ~~ A few minutes later, a tight-lipped Taeyeon pulled up in front of the hospital. I made an attempt to get down the ride but her hand on my arm detained me. I turned to find her watching me with a calculating look. "Sunny, you go ahead, she'll join you in a minute." She said and the two got down of the car. "I want you home before 8 pm. Do you think you can make it?" "Uh, why? But of course, where else would I be?" "God Sooyeon, because you and I still have things to talk about, issues to resolve and pictures to clear, I will make sure to return home just around that time too." "Alright, see you at home then," I said and she nods. As I walked, my mind drifted to what she wanted us to talk about? It may involve our last night's activities, but I don't want to talk about that, I may act all strong and all like I'm not affected by her mere presence in front of her, but deep down and when I'm alone... it is another story entirely. Truth is, Taeyeonos slowly driving me insane. Physically. Emotionally. Completely. The urge to reach out and make her touch me again was killing me, the thought of her fingers running across my face and over my lips like she loves to do every time she kisses me is imprinted in my mind. I want to push it further, to push her further, to end this madness that had me spun up, teetering at the cusp, so close to spinning me out of my mind. "Sooyeon" I heard my name being called, my thoughts shattering like a mirror, turning to the source, I found Sooyoung smiling my way. "Sooyoung, hey!" I smiled back tucking my hair behind my ear. To my surprise, she walked towards me with quick steps and hugged me tightly before I could react. "Oh my god! Sooyeon, it's really you!" She seemed to really miss me, my heart melted and I hugged her back. I could sense that she was surprised by me hugging her back but she didn't say anything after that. "I'm sorry Sooyeon. I couldn't attend your wedding and not telling you beforehand. I understand if you're angry at me." She said full of regret. I looked at her intently and I could see how sorry she was. "It's okay Soo, I admit I got angry at you but then I realized that maybe you had a good reason why you couldn't attend, I understand you must be hurt, so let's forget about all that and move on." "Am I forgiven?" She asked expectantly and I nodded. She hugged me once again. "You look good." She eyed me up and down. "Guess marriage is great for you, huh?" "Oh well, it's good so far," I said shyly. "I miss you Sooyeon and I want to catch up, so how about a drink later this evening? Our usual bar?" "Huh? A drink?" "Yeah, like we used to, at the glitters." "This evening?" I hesitantly asked and she nods. I know Taeyeon is expecting me home early but Sooyoung is a good friend I couldn't say no to. And besides, we live together, we can talk anytime. "Sounds good," I said and smiled. "Great, I will pick you up at six? Seven?" "Seven sounds great." I beamed. "Okay, but you have to text me your address." "Yeah, I will, see you." "See you and thank you." Sooyoung hugged me once again, just as her mother was escorted out of the hospital by a nurse. ~~ When Soojung's was finished with her doctor, she insisted on going with Sunny again. I had no choice but to let her, these days she seemed closer to Sunny than to me. I had texted Sooyoung afterward to let her know I will be at the glitters myself, I didn't want her to come to my home, knowing her feelings for me, it'll hurt her, I assumed. The bar was busy tonight, I stood at the entrance and looked around trying to see if I could spot Sooyoung, She stood up immediately and waved a little letting me know where she was and I waved back at her with a smile. "Hi sorry I'm a little late," I said as I sat down. "No worries." She shrugged, her casual attitude right now made me a little envious, I wanted to be like that, I wanted to shrug the world off just that easily, instead I took it all too seriously. "Being married means lots of responsibility." She adds. "You have no idea." I relaxed in my seat. "How's your sister?" "She's good, getting better each day." "Good," Sooyoung said and ordered our drinks as we continued to chat, we laughed as we recalled a ludicrous story, I had almost fallen from my chair laughing at, one time at school. The night had been so much fun, Sooyoung had been blissfully carefree and utterly charming. "I've been curious, Sooyeon." Sooyoung suddenly leaned in her chair as our laughter faded. "When did you know you were gay?" She asked thoughtfully. I frowned at her question. "I never said I was gay." "I assumed as you are married to Taeyeon." "I am obviously, I guess I don't really know what I am. I mean I never had the chance to think that through considering my situation, but seeing that I'm able to marry her, I kinda think I'm bi." I said, I clearly hadn't quite worked that out in my mind yet, when I was younger I liked guys, found them attractive, the possibility of being with a woman never once occurred to me. "But whatever the case might be, I do not believe that love can be defined by gender," I added coolly, it was true I didn't. "Pretty deep, huh." She said I shrugged, this is a conversation I really never had with anyone not even Sunny, well except that one time with Soojung but even then, it wasn't really a conversation. "If I had known you were gay or bi, I wouldn't let you get married to Taeyeon, I was afraid I would push you away, if you found out I was gay, so I kept my feelings concealed only to learn that you're getting married to a woman who doesn't even love you." She said, her words seeped with sadness. "I'm sorry about that Sooyoung, but I think it's for the best." "Is it?" "Of course, my sister is healthy again and I can give her a better life now, what else could be better than that?" Her eyes, two vast pools of chocolate skimmed over me, taking me in, she did this a lot at school, but I had never really thought to think about it then, she locked them into mine catching me unaware of the heated intensity that lurked there. "I just hope she makes you happy, I will never forgive myself otherwise because I feel somehow it's my fault that you said yes to her ridiculous idea, I should be the one helping you with your sister." "Sooyoung, we've talked about this, it's really isn't your fault, I agreed to the contract on my own, and besides you didn't know the hardships I was going through, don't beat yourself up for that." "Still, I should have been more obvious." "It's really okay." I reached for her hand and gave it a fragile squeeze. "Taeyeon, is a good woman, and besides this isn't even real, in a year or so I will be free again." "When that time comes," Sooyoung's gazed held my eyes. "Would you let me love you?" I smiled uneasily but dared not to answer her question because I didn't know what to say, as it seems I'm already falling for Taeyeon, just like my best friend had predicted and I'm battling with myself for falling for a woman that hardly assesses anything other than . Sensing my uncomfortable demeanor, Sooyoung looked down at her watch and sighed. "Come on, I will drive you home, I don't want your billionaire wife hunting for my head." I smiled at her joke, glad sh
