Taeyeon’s POV

We’re now on our way to Lotte world. It’s been awhile since I went there with my family and I missed playing in amusement park. I know it’s also their attempts to cheer me up and to make me leaving this country with smile and not in gloomy mood. I took a glance side way to Yuri’s side; she’s been trying so hard to cheer me up these past weeks; if it’s not because of her and her constant ‘nagging’ probably I would still be sulking inside my room, crying my heart out. I smiled bitterly, I don’t want to remember about her but I can’t help it. But maybe just for today… I will put those thoughts aside and just have fun with my buddy.

“Ne, Yul…”

“Hm?”

“Who else coming to the Lotte World beside us?”

“Soo and Hyo will definitely come since their girlfriends are busy today. We’re gonna meet them at the entrance”

“You didn’t ask Sica to come?”

Yul laughed a little “Well, I did asked her but she said it’s just going to waste her energy and she’d rather spending her day off on the bed. Sleeping”

“That sleepyhead seems would never change” I chuckled

“Maybe. But I still love her” Yul grinned “And actually I found her habit is cute” she winked

“You’re so whipped”

Yul just laughed again and I laughed along with her. Soon we arrived at Lotte world; Soo and Hyo were already waiting for us. Hyo with bored expression on her face while Soo… just being the usual shiksin… Hyoyeon who spotted us first immediately waved her hand and shouted

“HURRY UP YOU TWO! I’M TIRED OF WAITING! I WANNA HAVE FUN IN HERE AND NOT TRYING TO KILL MYSELF IN BOREDOM!!”

“Sorry Hyo. Didn’t thought you’re gonna be here so soon” Yuri said while I just give them a grin

“Ah whatever. Come on! I wanna get on the rides! Wohoooo!!” Hyo cheered like a little kid, well no wonder why her nickname is Kim choding… I surely am gonna miss them so much. We tried almost all of the rides available and Hyoyeon even wants to play rides for children until we have to drag her away from the ride to avoiding future embarrassment. We stopped playing when Sooyoung’s stomach grumbling loudly to tell us that it’s time for dinner already. We went to nearest fast food restaurant outside the amusement park, we c hose the outside table for us to sit and eat.

“Tomorrow, huh? It’s still seems so unreal to me” I said with a sad smile on my face.

“Yeah… But you didn’t regret accepting their offer, right? Because if you do, I’ll be gladly to switch the place with you” Yul grinned while Soo and Hyo hi-5ed each other. I couldn’t help but laughed at their behaviour. Realizing what will I miss in four years, my mood dropped again.

“Wae wae wae?? What’s with that long face, Tae?” asked Soo

“Just realized that my life seems much calmer without you guys” I lied and laughed afterward

“Yeah as if... I know you love us too much to even think like that”

“Hahahaha, yeah... Anyway, enough with this kind of talking, too much deppression for me before my departure wouldn’t be good for me”

“Yep I agree, we should’ve spend today with laughter and jokes. Not in sad and mellow atmosphere like this” Yul grinned

“Hahaha, yeah. I’m sorry for bringing such deppressing aura”

“Yeah you should be”

All of us laughed together just like old times, before things got complicated like now. I really grateful that they always stay by my side when things gets ugly. Hyo patted my shoulder

“When we meet again, make sure you’ll grow taller”

I smacked her arm in annoyance because they keep teasing my height.  I glared at her

“You’re not that much taller anyway Hyo. You’re also a danshin”

Yul and Soo laughed so hard at my remark while Hyoyeon only gritted her teeth and I grinned at her annoyed facial expression

“Well, at least I’m still taller than you, midget”

“Yah! Who do you call midget?!”

“Obviously not Yul nor Soo. And i won’t call myself a midget. Then tell me miss genius, who else beside three of us here?”

I flicked her forehead as they’re laughing again. Soo patted me on the shoulder while grinning widely

“Yah Taeng, it will be our last chance to tease you before you leave for four years. Don’t take it too personal”

“Yep yep, we have to wait that long for teasing you again. I’ll miss it” Yul grinned

“Oh I’m sure I won’t miss it. Actually i’ll be glad living without constant teasing from you guys”

“Nah just admit it, Taeng”

“I’m telling the truth”

The rest of the night was passed in full laughter and teasing. When I finally reached home, mom and dad were still watching TV. I sat down beside my mom and hugged her.

“Go to sleep now, Tae… You have flight to catch tomorrow”

“Mom… Can I sleep with you? It will be awhile before we’ll meet again”

“Aigoo, you big baby” Mom ruffled my hair in teasing manner “Sure, let’s go to sleep”

After saying goodnight to dad, we went to my room. When I lay down, mom starts to my hair gently. I smiled at her and noticed that her eyes starts to gets watery

“Omo omo omo!! Mom! Don’t cry!”

“You know, I still remember the day you were born. It’s seems like just yesterday when I saw you for the first time. Your loud cry breaking the silent of the night; and when I hold you in my arms I’m so grateful to God, He blessed me with such beautiful angel to be my baby. And when you grow older, you keep making us proud as parents. You truly are a blessing for me and your dad, Taeyeon. Same goes to your brother and little sister. Three of you are the jewels of this family”

I couldn’t fight back the tears that already accumulated in my eyes along with her story. I cried and mom hugged me tighter while rubbing my back.

“I’m sure you’ll do your best when you’re studying there. But don’t forget to enjoy your life. No need to have a whole bunch of friends, just few will be fine as long as they’re trustworthy and will always be there for you up and down.”

“Y-yes mom… I will”

“Good good… Now let’s sleep, you’ll need your energy”

That night, was the serene night that I’ve ever had for the last past week. I guess being in your parents embrace really helps you to calm down and wash away your anxiousness and pain
