"Everything will be just fine," he whispers softly on her ears, choking on his own tears. She gives him a low hum as answer, as the crimson liquid pools beneath her legs.

"Donghae," she gives him a faint smile. 

This isn't how he wanted it to turn out. This wasn't how it played out in his head.

His whole body shakes as he tries to focus his mind on all the spells he knows.

"Please, please, everything will be alright," he says more to himself than to the woman soaked in blood on his hands.

"D-don't," she stammers. "Donghae, please. I beg you,"
"No!" 
"Let it go. Let me go," she cries out, hand reaching blindly to Donghae's face.

He simply wanted her, needed her. To be with her until the end. Of time.

"Eunha," he pleads. He knows his time is up. He knows her time is up, their time.
"I love you, Eunha. In all lifetimes, I'll love you," he cries out as her body stays lifelessly still.

But with a bitter and aching heart, he waits. 

And he's already losing count.
