"Hina! You made it!" Herin opened the door and greeted her friend with a hug

"Sorry I'm late, I forgot the facemasks I promised to bring." The girl smiled apologetically

"No, no, no. You were just in time. We just finished preparing dinner. Come on in." Herin said and gave her room to step inside.

Hina smiled widely as she saw all her friends sitting on the table playing with their phones.

"'Bout time Hina-chan." Yiyang, one of the older ones, said and chuckled

"I missed you!" Koeun suddenly hugged her from behind, "glad you could make it." 

"I miss all of you too." She said and walked with Herin and Koeun sitting on one of the chairs in the dining area

Hina has been busy with school lately and also her summer job at one of the gaming cafe's near her house. She hasn't really been bonding with her girl friends lately that's why she's been feeling a little guilty.

"We thought you would bail on us tonight, Hina-ah" Koeun said while munching down her food

"Yah. I would never do that, Koeun unnie." Hina pouted while eyeing her with puppy eyes which made them laugh

"It's just... you've been hanging out with your boyfriend more than you hang out with us so..." Jungyeon spoke which made Hina's eyes widen

"I don't have a boyfriend." She exclaimed

"Jaemin?" Jungyeon pointed

"He's just my bestfriend! You know that." 

"How about Jeno?" Yiyang was the one asking, "You 2 seemed close also last time I saw you was at the library." 

"Also just a bestfriend." She explained and sighed

"Come on Hina, you can't just be bestfriends with a guy." Jungyeon said and turned to face Yiyang, "right, girl?" 

"Yah. Can we not talk about it." The Chinese exchange student blushed and tried to focus on eating

"Eh? What's going on?" Hina asked, turning to Herin

"Well, Yiyang unnie here recently got a boyfriend." Herin spilled which made Hina shocked

"Don't tell me..." 

"Yep. Winwin oppa." Koeun blurted 

"YAH!" Yiyang stood up and was ready to strangle Koeun but she held out a fork threatening her, all girls laughed at Yiyang's shyness.

"Omg, unnie! I'm so happy for you!" Hina said, all giddy and smiling widely for the now flushed girl, "you need to tell me all about it."

Yiyang nodded and continued eating.

"But really nothing's going on with you and Jaemin?" 

"Or Jeno?" Jungyeon added

Hina shook her head furiously and smiled, assuring the group that they are just bestfriends.

After eating, the 5 girls went straight up stairs to the master bedroom to do some skincare and talk about boys. 

"I really can't believe you guys are doing LDR. Who does that nowadays!" Hina exclaimed while massaging her cheeks as she put her aloe vera face mask on

"Love can make you do stupid things." Koeun shrugged eyeing Yiyang

"You're no better, Koeunnie." Yiyang stuck out her tongue and giggled

"When are you going leaving though?" Hina asked

"Next week. I'll be there in 3 weeks and will be back before the semester starts." Yiyang explained

"You'll be back with him right?" Yiyang suddenly taken aback by Herin's questions, scoffed but nodded still and smiled at them

"I'm so so so happy for you, unnie!" Herin said

"We all are." Hina added and chuckled

"But how about you?" Yiyang questioned, "I'm not buying you're not going out with one of those 2." 

Hina sighed, it's not the first time someone thought she's dating her 2 bestfriends. 

"Hina! Hey!" The girl suddenly stopped her walking and turned around to see who was calling her, it was Renjun, one of her classmates.

"Oh yes?" She asked bowing down to greet him

"Hey so.. I just wanna ask you if you're free after school? The others want to go to a karaoke bar and-"

"Hina!" The 2 turned to look who it was and was greeted by a charming eyesmile, it was Jeno jogging towards them. 

"There you are. Let's go before it closes." Jeno swing his arm around Hina's shoulder and smiled at Renjun, "oh hey Renjun." He greeted

"Oh I see you're busy. Alright, next time then Hina. Bye!" Renjun quickly bowed to the 2 and walked away

"What was that all about?" Jeno questioned and Hina just shrugged as an answer, "meh. Let's get going or Jaemin will rip our heads off by making him wait." Hina chuckled at the thought but nodded in agreement.

The next day, Hina was flustered by the news going around that she's dating Jeno.

"Eh?! No! We're just friends!" Hina exclaimed as she was bombared by one of the hoobaes in the hallway, "it's true. Me and Jeno met at Middle School." She explained again and by that time another friend of hers saved her

"Hey!" Jaemin suddenly held her wrist and pulled her away from the group of girls, "hello hoobaenims can I borrow Hina for a while?" He bowed respectfully and smiled at the girls who were now shocked by how handsome the young man is, the girls nodded as he smiled again thanking them. 

Once they were away from the crowd, Hina breathed heavily, "thanks for the save." 

"No problemo amigo." Jaemin said and sat on one of the staircase, Hina followed suit and chuckled, "banana?" He offered a banana milk and Hina took it, both of them punctured the straw and took a sip of the delicious milk. 

"What was going on back there?" Jaemin asked, curiousity evident in his voice

"They were accusing me of dating Jeno." She sighed, "someone tattled and told everyone I was having a relationship with him." Jaemin just kept quiet, waiting for her to continue

"Like can you believe it?" Hina groaned and shook her head.

Jaemin smiled and patted the top of her head, he was staring at her when they heard a loud bang, like someone trip or something

"What was that?" She quickly jumped up and turn her heads to look for that noise

Jaemin furrowed his eyebrows and sighed, "Hina-ah." He called, the girl turned to face him, "the news of you and Jeno dating will die down tomorrow. I assure you." 

"Really? How come-"

Jaemin smiled and playfully messed with her bangs. He then proceeded in walking away. Hina was left dumbfounded.

Couple weeks passed and the issue with her and Jeno dating did disappear, like it never happened, just like what Jaemin said. 

"Jeno-ah!" Hina called as she saw her bestfriend buying some cold beverage at the vending machine.

"Oh hey Hina!" He quickly smiled, his eyes formed crescent moon shape, "strawberry milk?" He asked, which Hina shook her head but smiled as a sign of gratitude, "so what's up?" 

"I was just asked to fetch you. Jaemin kept-"

"Hina! Tell me it's a joke!" Suddenly a girl with long brown hair appeared, a sunbae of them, Jeno didn't know who she was.

"Suji Sunbaenim, hi. Uh, do you need me to do something?" 

"Not until I know the truth." The girl fumbled and pouted, not even acknowledging Jeno's presence.

"Truth?" Hina tilted her head

"Are you dating Na Jaemin?" In which both Hina and Jeno's eyes widen

"NO!" Hina exclaimed immediately, almost shouting to the senior student

"Really?" The girl looked at her in the eyes, wanting the truth

"It's the truth. Look sunbaenim, Jaemin and I are just friends, we had the same tutor back then when we were like 6." Hina explained, looking at Jeno to back her up

"That's right. The 3 of us are all just bestfriends. We all met when we were in middle school, we were classmates and hence the friendship blossomed." Jeno said and smiled sincerely to the girl

"So it was just a rumor." The girl exhaled, like she was relieved of some sort, she then looked at them and nodded, "alright then. I'll be going enjoy your lunch break." 

As they watched their senior walk away, Hina was shaking her head. 

"You okay?" Jeno placed his hand on her shoulder, looking at her with concern

"I just can't believe I'm being tied up with all these rumors." She sighed, "why do you 2 have to be so popular." Hina whined as she walked to the cafeteria

Jeno chuckled and followed her, as they sat at the table Jaemin was in, Hina bowed her head and proceeded in taking a nap

"What's her problem?" Jaemin asked, looking at the girl in front of them

Jeno chuckled and told Jaemin what happen, "and she asked me why we are popular." 

"Eh? We're popular?" Jaemin, like a dumbfool, suddenly laughed out loud which made Hina awake and glare at him

"Yah! Na Jaemin! You are so popular with the sunbaes! Suji sunbaenim really adore you. She even baked you a chocolate cake on Valentine's day!" She exclaimed

"I thought she was just doing that with all the hoobaes." Jaemin shrugged while Jeno was teasing him, nudging his bestfriend

"And you Lee Jeno! Popular with the hoobaes. Do you even know that Lami has a huge crush on you? She even skipped her training and got scolded just so she can watch your basketball game?" 

"Oh? Who's Lami?" Jeno asked which made Jaemin clicked his tongue and pat Jeno on his back

"You don't know who Lami is?" Jaemin asked, Jeno turned to look at him and shook his head, "Me neither. Who is she again?" Jaemin nodded and looked at Hina

"You both are unbelievable. Why do those girls even like you?" Hina rolled her eyes

Jeno and Jaemin looked at each other, grinning as they simultaenously looked at the girl in front of them.

"We're good looking." They said in unison which Hina scoffed in reply. They are indeed hopeless.

"Hey Hina?" Koeun suddenly called, they were lying on the floor. Jungyeon and Yiyang stayed in the bed while Herin preferred on the couch, "can I ask you something?"

"Hm?" 

"Would you be mad if someone dated one of your bestfriends?" 

Hina was surprised at the question, she turned her head to look at her friend who was staring at the ceiling, seriousness all over her face

"It depends. I never really thought about it." She answered, copying Koeun's move and stared at the ceiling

Koeun chuckled, "me too. It's just... when Mark told me that Yeri confessed, it was like my heart stopped beating." 

Hina was quiet, she was just listening to her friend's story, waiting for her to continue

"He asked me what should he do or what should he replied to her. He kept on asking me and bugging me about it." 

"What did you tell him?" Hina asked

"Nothing." 

"Why?" Koeun then smiled, a bitter one, Hina faced her friend and stared at her

"Maybe I was just scared to know his feelings."

Hina stayed quiet. She knows Koeun, she's not the type of girl who would be scared of anything. But seeing her vulnerable now, she thought of the words her friend said earlier.

"Love can really make you do stupid things."

Koeun chuckled, "indeed."

Hina hugged Koeun tightly and proceeded in going to sleep, but Hina stayed awake. Lost in her thoughts.

She knew Koeun was having a hard time. It is painful seeing your the one you like slowly falling in love with someone else, and it's not you. She sighed and unlocked her phone. She received a picture message, it was from that guy Chenle from the photography club. 

She chuckled at the photos. That Chenle is sneaky as they claimed him to be, maybe that's why he's the dispatch of the school. 

She was scrolling through the photos he sent her and realized that mostly all of her photos, if not all of them, include Jaemin and Jeno in it. She smiled and stared at the photo of them together in the train to go to their fieldtrip and as she was about to lock her phone, a text message popped up on her screen.

Hina wasn't sure why but her heart started pounding really hard like it wanted to explode.

"Hina, can we talk? I need to tell you something."
