BTS 

My name is Jalyssa, I came to America 8 years ago for school and I am currently a university student. My major in school is Events Coordinator because it has been my dream job ever since I was young. Due to the fact that this is a service industry, I realized that I need some experiences in this field. Besides school, I have a confession... I AM FREAKING IN LOVE WITH BTS. I am such a fangirl for them and I have been fantasizing about working for Bighit Entertainment. All of my friends at school know how much I like BTS because I can talk about them for days. We usually meet up after classes or whenever we are free and we would gossip about everything on earth. I have been telling my friends that I want to work for Bighit Entertainment for such a long time and they always encourage me to apply. However, I have no confidence. WHY? Because why would Bighit hire someone who can't even speak Korean to work for them? Events required communication. Today, my friends and I all meet up at this coffee near the school. 

Jasmine: "When are you going to apply?"

Me: "Huh? Apply where? What are you saying?"

Jasmine: "To Bighit"

Me: "Are you crazy? I can't speak Korean, why would they hire someone who does not speak Korean to plan events for them"

Anna: "Did you even try? Try once then see"

Me: "No... Maybe I should try to apply right?"

Jasmine + Anna: "Duh. You are not losing anything if you try" 

Me: "The worst thing is just being rejected by Bighit"

Jasmine: "Yes haha and you can put that rejection on your resume"

Me: "I will beat you up"

We all decided to leave because Jasmine has a class that afternoon. I went home and thought about the conversation we had at the coffee shop. Hmmm... Maybe I should try to apply for an internship there. I went to the Bighit website and sent an email to the HR along with my resume. I made it clear in the email that I am looking for an internship. Honestly, I told myself that I shouldn't expect to hear back from Bighit since I knew that they won't hire me. There are probably so many people out there who are trying to apply to Bighit, just like me. I applied once so my friends would stop bugging me about this. T_T Why did I tell them that I want to work for Bighit. 

3 weeks later

*In class*

My phone buzzed and I am hoping it is an email telling me that my next class is canceled. (Aren't we all the same? Maybe just me lol)

I pull the phone out of my pocket and open it under the table cause I do not want my professor to it. 

"Dear Jalyssa, 

Thank you so much for your interest in working with us, Bighit Entertainment. We are happy to announce that we will be hiring you as an intern for our company..."

I drop my phone because I am trembling. Am I reading the wrong thing? Are my eyes in good condition? 

Anna picks up my phone to read the email. Anna and Jasmine read the email and all of a sudden, yelling out loud. All the attention draw to us and we had to make up a random excuse. When the class is finish, I exit so quick like I'm running a marathon. 

The moment I exit the door, I yell: "Oh my god !!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Anna and Jasmine were just laughing because they know how happy I am feeling right now. I cannot believe I got accepted for an internship at Bighit. I might have the chance to see BTS in real person even though I do not think I will. When I watch all of their Bangtan TV, they usually interact with makeup artists, audio people, dancers, etc. I will be an intern as an event planner, I will at the back of the company where BTS is at the front. When I came home, I texted my parents that I got an offer at Bighit Entertainment. I am always grateful for being born into a family where my parents are always encouraging me. They said YES to the idea right away, with an exception that I will have to finish school after the internship. Of course, I agree haha what do you think. I lay down on my bed to read the email over again and carefully. 

"We have reviewed your resume and think you are the right candidate for the internship. We will interview you when you are here in Korea to understand more about you. On your arrival day, the staff will wait for you outside the company to take you inside the building. We are looking forward to working with you."

I meet up with Anna and Jasmine to tell them the time and date I will be leaving for Korea. We promise to keep in touch through Kakao Talk and I will share with them my experience there. They told me not to faint or fangirling too much when I meet BTS. I will probably freeze when I meet them, I know myself.
