Husbands and Wives
For You, I WouldHusbands and Wives
The problem with telling Victoria the about us was that she had too much fun with it sometimes. Like the time she thought it would be funny to invite both Ryeosuni and Kyumi to her bridal shower. And we did both go because it would have been rude not to. And Kyumi really, really wanted to go. We almost never went anywhere together when we were both crossdressing though and it felt kind of strange. I was used to having Kyuhyun with me. Instead, we were going to a party were people were going to talk to me about my husband as if he wasn’t there. Sometimes my life was awfully strange.
Victoria smiled as she opened the door. “Ryeosuni! Kyumi! You came together!” she said, acting surprised. If she honestly thought we were going to drive separate and waste gas money, she had another thing coming.
“Well, you know we live so close, it only made sense,” Kyumi explained, walking into the apartment first.
“Besides, we meet up and had breakfast together this morning,” I told her, winking at her.
Her smile faltered. If she began to wonder if it was a good idea to invite two crossdressing married men to her special bridal party, she was probably right. Especially when they were notorious for being pranksters. Changmin knew his best friend well enough. He had tried to talk her out of it.
The apartment was beautifully decorated with white flowers, balloons, and candles. Kyuhyun looked around at the extravagance. He hadn’t been around for my bridal shower, which was just as showy. He hadn’t bothered with anything like that for Kyumi. Her wedding to Ryeowook was much smaller. “Wow!” she said, looking around.
I leaned in close to her. “Try to tone it down a little or people will wonder about it. It would seem odd if you’ve never been to a bridal shower before.”
Kyumi nodded, trying to act normal and smile. But no matter what, I never thought Kyumi looked completely natural when surrounded by actual women. She always seemed a little awkward.
I ushered her towards a table with presents. We were both holding little packages that we’d brought in with us. I insisted on wrapping both of them because Kyumi is terrible at wrapping presents. And Kyuhyun rarely bothers to wrap things at all. He will sometimes throw things in bags, if he feels that he must. But most of the time he just hands things to Ryeowook in the bag that the retailer gave it to him in. I will give him credit at being decent at buying thoughtful presents though—assuming he remembers the birthday or anniversary at all—because he knows he messes up enough things in the year. He figures it doesn’t hurt to go a little overkill on gifts. Kyumi, however, is not good at buying things for women for bridal showers. I returned the blender she originally bought—you don’t buy your best friend’s fiancée a blender—and bought an expensive set of wine glasses instead. Which Kyumi was upset she never thought of herself, since she loves wine and expects to be invited over often.
Kyumi set the gift down on the table with the others, but then was immediately distracted by the next thing. “Oh, there’s food!”
I grabbed ahold of her before she started walking over there. “No one is eating yet. You can’t start before everyone else does.”
She looked around. “Why?”
I leaned in very close. “When at an event with just women, they usually wait around until invited to eat by the host.”
She grumbled to herself.
“And then you have to remember that you need to just eat little bits.”
“No! It all looks good! I’ll just tell them I’ve been dieting all week!”
I shook my head. “No! You get one somewhat full plate and then you can go up and pick at it a little afterwards, at the worst.”
“There will be so many leftovers! There are no men here!”
“Shush!” I said, poking her in the side. “You behave yourself or I won’t make you dinner tonight.”
“Fine,” she agreed, fidgeting around and straightening out her dress. “This is so uncomfortable. I don’t know why you made me wear a dress when there’s no men here to impress.”
“You’re married. Your job is to impress other men’s wives,” I informed him. “If you don’t look respectable, it will give a bad impression of your husband and I have a vested interest in what people think of Ryeowook.”
“But we’re not even at the wedding!”
“Look around,” I said, pointing out the rest of the women in the assembly. “They are also dressed nice to impress each other. It’s a common misconception that women only dress well to impress men. They dress even nicer to impress other women. Trust me! Men like women to look like s. Women dress in expensive designer clothing to impress other women.”
Thankfully, I also did most of Kyumi’s shopping as well these days or she wouldn’t be wearing a designer dress to the bridal shower. Of course, Kyuhyun would probably himself and take away my credit card if he knew what I spent on clothes for Kyumi and Ryeosuni, so I didn’t bother mentioning it either.
Kyumi was happy that the first thing we did was eat once everyone arrived. But she was disappointed to find that there was nothing else of interest that we were doing. Victoria had a lot of presents to open and we were expected to just sit around and slowly watch her open them, one after the other after the other.
Kyumi leaned close. “Can we leave?”
I glared at her. “No. You wanted to come!”
She sighed.
I got up from my seat. “I’ll be back in a few,” I told her, heading for the bathroom. It was a good time to use the bathroom. I certainly wasn’t missing much and no one would miss me, aside from Kyumi, who was clearly bored. We would just find an excuse to leave after the gifts were done being unwrapped. There was no reason to stay afterwards.
After I washed up in the bathroom, I opened the door and was about to walk out, when I was shoved back into the bathroom by Kyumi. She locked the door and backed me against the wall.
“What are you doing?” I quietly asked, panicked that someone might hear us.
“Killing time,” she said, wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me.
I gently tried to push her away. “We can’t do this. What if someone sees us walking out together?”
“Women use the bathroom together all the time! No one thinks it’s strange. I can tell them you were helping me fix my hair or dress,” she said.
“You’ll ruin my makeup,” I complained.
“You like to fix your makeup and you’re bored right now, so there’s no point in mentioning that,” she said, leaning in to kiss me again.
I pulled away and she narrowed her eyes at me. “Is it because you’re not attracted to me?”
“What?” I asked, utterly confused. “You know that’s not true. You have ample proof of that, just from last night alone.”
“Not Kyuhyun,” she said. “Me! Kyumi.”
“You already know that I’m attracted to Kyumi. I ed you when we got back from my family reunion a few weeks ago. Remember?”
Kyumi grasped my shoulders and shook me. “You’re talking about Ryeowook. I’m talking about you. Ryeosuni…I want to know if you’re attracted to me. Or are you only interested in Kyuhyun?”
Kyumi was an eccentric woman and it had nothing to do with the fact that she was a little tall. I thought Kyuhyun often dressed a little more feminine than most men, so he certainly pulled of the attire well enough, when dressing as Kyumi. But she wasn’t used to acting like a woman. She didn’t understand some of their mannerisms and it took a long time to teach them to her. She wasn’t a big fan of some of it, such as eating daintily or shopping trips. But the basics of Kyuhyun’s personality still existed in Kyumi. Kyumi was still funny, naughty, and extremely y.
I moved in closer to Kyumi and reached my hand between her legs, skimming my fingers up her inner thigh. “Yes, I find you attractive.” I had a feeling she wasn’t upset about wearing a dress anymore as she spread her legs apart for
