The Ten-Minute Scheme
For You, I WouldThe Ten-Minute Scheme
I fixed my tie in the mirror before getting out of the car. Then I exited and walked around the car, opening the door for y Ryeosuni. And she looked incredible. You’re going to have to forgive me for this, but whenever Ryeowook dresses as Ryeosuni, I reference her as a woman, female pronouns and all. It’s a pointer I picked up from Siwon. Otherwise, you screw up and say the wrong thing at the wrong time. I’m perfectly aware that Ryeosuni’s all male under that makeup and those designer women’s clothes, but if I don’t say the right thing or act the right way in public, he might as well just be dressing as Ryeowook. Part of the illusion is not just the way he looks or acts, but how everyone around him reacts to Ryeosuni.
For the meeting with Yesung’s parents, I purposely asked Ryeowook to dress Ryeosuni a little tier than normal. It had everything to do with the plan and nothing to do with the some of the fantasies I’d had about Ryeosuni prior to finding out about Ryeowook’s real gender, but I certainly wasn’t complaining about it either.
I had a little trouble keeping my hands off Ryeosuni in the car on the ride over. Her black dress was the shortest I had ever seen on a woman that wasn’t a e. And I can only reference movies here because I’ve clearly never gone looking for a e, but I was a little worried about what she might expose if she bent over too far. Ryeosuni was wearing black high heels, so when I opened the door to the car and she stepped out, all I saw were those amazing, toned legs. And I wanted to do nothing more than to kiss my way up them.
If it weren’t for the fact that we had to stick to a strict schedule, I would have drug Ryeosuni back into the room and had my way with her before we even left campus. But as it was, we were barely making it to the restaurant before Yesung and his parents. So, I gave her my hand and helped her to her feet, closing the door to the car.
She looked around with her smoldering, shadowed eyes and pouted her dark red lips. “I still think this is a strange plan, Kyu.”
I wrapped my arm around her waist and leaned in to peck her lips. I simply couldn’t help myself. “You’re just going to have to trust me.”
She smacked me in the chest. “Quit that! You’ve done enough of that already!” Then she wiped the lipstick off my lips.
“I plan to do much more of it,” I warned her. “As soon as our job here is done. And that isn’t going to take very long, so don’t order anything extravagant.”
“I’ll just get some dessert,” she said, walking into the restaurant with me. We purposely picked a corner that couldn’t easily be seen when walking in. It was walled off by some tall plants. We both ordered drinks and cheesecake. Then we waited.
A few minutes later, I noticed Yesung walk in with his parents. His girlfriend wasn’t with him. In fact, the plan was for her to be horribly late. That was the first thing that had to happen. You see, when it comes to thwarting the plans of parents that wanted to see you get married, no one had this down better than I did. My mother had tried to set me up on countless dates over the years. But there really is only one foolproof plan that will keep your mother from meddling with your love life and that’s if she thinks you’re going to make a horrible choice out of desperation of she keeps pressuring you.
When it came down to it, Yesung didn’t need one woman willing to act like his wonderful, beautiful, loving girlfriend for two weeks. That was inevitably going to backfire. You can’t keep that lie going if she’s not really your girlfriend. It’s easier to find a horrible, y, cheating for ten minutes that your mother would never, in a million years, want to be associated with. If she thinks you’re on the verge of marrying the worst woman out there because you have horrible taste in women, she is not going to try to talk you into getting married anytime soon. In fact, she will try to talk you out of it.
The first thing the worlds worst choice of a daughter-in-law must do is never show up on time. For anything! But especially not to meet her future in-laws.
So, Ryeosuni had plenty of time to enjoy her cheesecake, once it arrived. In fact, I never really intended on eating mine at all. I just took a couple bites to make it look like I’d bothered ordering myself a piece and then gave her the rest. But it was so distracting, watching her fork little slices of the creamy white cake into and moan as she closed her eyes, slowly pulling the fork past her lips. I was getting and reached down to squeeze her leg.
She smirked at me.
“Are you doing that on purpose?” I asked.
Ryeosuni laughed and forked off another piece of the cheesecake, lifting it up in front of my lips. “Is it making you…hungry?”
I let her feed me the cheesecake and moved my hand further up her leg. “A bit.”
She sat up straight and looked over at Yesung’s table. “How long have they been sitting there? Do you think it’s time yet?”
“It’s got to be getting close,” I said, looking over the plants. “Why? Are you eager to leave?”
She her lips. “Perhaps.”
I was about to lean in and kiss her again, but we were suddenly joined at the table by Siwon. He nodded at the both of us and then glanced over the plants to where Yesung was sitting with his parents. “They get here on time?”
I nodded. “Everything is running like clockwork. Is the girlfriend ready?”
Siwon waved me off, “She’s always ready.” The waitress came over and he ordered a coffee. He certainly wasn’t planning on being around for very long. Ten minutes. Tops. That’s what I’d explained to everyone at our meeting earlier in the week. If it was played right, Yesung only needed the world’s worst girlfriend for ten minutes.
Of course, there was only one person that could play that role to perfection. Although everyone worried that people would recognize her as Siwon’s girlfriend, we only needed her for ten minutes. Siwon and I would scan the room to make sure that no one recognized her and approached them. Ryeosuni had an entirely different role to play. She is what I referred to as the icing on the cake.
I nervously tapped my fingers on the table. Kyuhyun told me to act a little nervous about the fact that my date was running twenty minutes late, but I really was nervous. “I’m sorry she’s late. She’s not very good with time. But you two will love her when you meet her. At least, I hope you like her as much as I do, because I think I’m going to ask her to marry me.”
