Kim Minjoo is the most popular girl in the school, because of her ethereal beauty and her outstanding talents, many students tried their best to win her heart but instead of getting polite rejections, they get a cold and a hurtful rejection from Minjoo, She’s not a rude person, there’s only one reason why is she like that, She was broken many times, like MANY times,

“Minjoo-yah....I’m sorry.... let’s break up...”

That was her first break up, it took some time for her to recover, and when she finally recovered, she found someone better, the guy was smart, handsome, rich, funny, and appealing which captured Minjoo’s heart, the guy was gonna take medicine to reach his dreams on becoming a doctor, but Minjoo didn’t think that that’s the reason why they broke up,

They went to the cliffs for their date, they sat on the ground and looked at the moon,

”It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Minjoo said

”Why...are you like that.. did I do something wrong?”

Minjoo nodded,

”Well, It’s because thay I liked being alone, I liked being lonely, but you came and tried to be a hero and comforted me.... It was stupid of me to think that if I stayed with you... I might change.. but no... you’re useless...”

That’s gonna be the last time Minjoo will have a relationship with someone.

Yujin was running towards her new school, class is gonna start soon, she runs at the hallways and arrives at the classroom,

 

“Sorry miss, I’m late!” Yujin said

 

“Oh! You’re just in time, please, introduce yourself.”

 

Yujin went in the center of the board

 

“Hi I’m Ahn Yujin, Please take care of me!”

 

“Alright Miss Ahn, you’ll seat next to..... Ms. Kim over there.” The teacher said as she points out an empty seat next to Minjoo, Yujin walked towards the empty seat, as she finally sat she looked at Minjoo,

 

“Hi I’m Ahn Yujin, What’s your name?”

 

Minjoo looks at Yujin, “Minjoo.” And looks away,

 

“Okay....pretty but rude.” Yujin thought to herself

the first class has ended and there’s no teacher around, and almost everybody is on their phones, she looks at Minjoo, and saw the girl wearing headphones on, then suddenly, someone taps her shoulder, she looks at the back and saw a girl that looks like a doll,

 

“She has always been like that.” the girl said

 

“W-who?”

 

“Minjoo, I’m sorry if you think she’s rude, she’s a nice person, I hope that you won’t misunderstand.”

 

“No it’s fine.... why is she like that?”

 

“It’s a long story, you don’t need to know about that.”

 

“Well okay, thanks for informing me... What’s your name?”

 

“Chaewon, Kim Chaewon.”

 

“Thanks for informing me Chaewon.”

It’s been months since Yujin’s first day, and ironically Yujin has fallen for the girl, maybe because of Minjoo’s hard to get attitude towards her made her want the girl more, and she knows a lot about Minjoo because her friends are close to her, she’s more close to the girl’s friends rather than Minjoo. The class has ended and Minjoo had to discuss something with the teacher,

 

“Hey, Eunbi unnie, Why is Minjoo so cold to me?” Yujin asked

 

“Oh..... actually she doesn’t trust anyone except us.”

then both of them saw Minjoo walking towards her locker as many guys are surrounding her, then Minjoo stops looks at the guys with a cold “Get out of my sight.” look, then the guys quickly walks away with their head down,

 

“That’s why..... you’ll just get rejected harshly by her.”

 

“Why is she like that to other people?” Yujin asked

 

Eunbi sighs “She’s just scared.”

 

“W-why?”

 

“Don’t tell this to Minjoo, okay?”

 

“Okay.”

 

Then Eunbi told her everything about Minjoo’s past relationship, Yujin was speechless, she couldn’t help but feel pity for the girl,

 

“She even texted me this.” Eunbi said as she shows her phone to Yujin,

 

Minjoo:

Unnie....I’m scared now...

 

Minjoo:

I’m scared of being alone...

 

Minjoo:

I’m scared of being played..

 

Minjoo:

I’m scared of being a second choice

 

Minjoo:

I’m scared of being useless to someone

I’m scared of being broken again.

“Well I just want to say this, if anything happens, please don’t break her heart, she has been broken for so many times.”

Yujin’s plan to win Minjoo’s heart is to; give her flowers after classes every day.

 

 

Minjoo is at the locker, shoving her books inside it,

 

“H-hey Minjoo-yah..”

 

“What.” Minjoo looks at her,

 

Then Yujin gives her the flower,

 

“Hold it.”

 

“Why?”

 

“Just hold it.”

 

Then Minjoo holds it and gives Yujin a questioning look,

 

“It’s for you.” Yujin said,

 

Minjoo scoffs and throws the flower at Yujin’s faces, Yujin looks at the flower blankly as it falls down,

 

“Don’t even think about it.” Minjoo said as she closes her locker and left, Yujin picks up the flower and sighs, “Better luck next time Yujin-ah....” She said to herself,

A few weeks have passed and the same thing happens all over again, sometimes Minjoo would accept it but throw it at the trash eventually, but every time she would throw it at Yujin’s face,

 

“When will you stop?!” Minjoo said irritatingly as she throws the flower at Yujin’s face harshly,

 

“I won’t..... sorry.”

 

Minjoo sighs irritatingly and leaves, Yujin sighs and picks up the flower, she bits her lower lips, not wanting to cry,

 

“Tomorrow....I’ll give you the last flower and I’ll stop...”

“M-minjoo.... this will be the last flower.... accept it, don’t throw it away and I will stop.”

 

“Really, you will.”

 

“I will.”

 

Minjoo accepted it and shows Yujin her fake smile, then Yujin was now smiling from ear to ear she turns around to leave, but after a few moments,

 

 

She heard something being thrown away, she looks back and saw Minjoo walking away and her last flower in the trash, she looks at Minjoo one last time,

Yujin finally stopped, she thought that I accepted that flower, psh, pathetic, finally I can enjoy some time with no one bothering me,

it has been 2 months since Yujin stopped giving me those flowers AND attending school, and I missed her, I missed her face, I missed her presence, her voice, everything, and it’s killing me! I guess I really broke her heart, I’m gonna make it up to her, after classes, I’m gonna go to her house, I know where her house is, Her mother and my mother are close friends,

I rang the doorbell at her house and waited, the door opens and I saw Mrs. Ahn

 

“Oh Minjoo! What brings you here!?”

 

“Ah... I just want to talk to your daughter, that’s all.”

 

“She’s at the park, she said she needed some fresh air.”

 

“Okay, thanks Mrs. Ahn.” I said and bowed and leave

 

“Tell her that she should go to school!”

 

“I will!” I said

I’m near the park now and I saw her seating on the bench, my heart has been pounding so much, I went towards the park, and quietly went behind her,

 

“Hey!” I said

 

She jolted up, she saw me and exhales in relief,

 

“Don’t do that.” she said

 

“Can I seat here?”

 

“S-sure.”

 

I quickly sat at the bench and the past minutes was very awkward, no one dare to say anything,

 

“So.... what brings you here?”

 

“Nothing....I just....I m-missed you...”

 

“W-wow..... I didn’t think that you would miss someone who has been bothering you back then”

“Well... I just want to say I’m sorry.... I shouldn’t have acted like that....”

 

“It’s fine... I already know why..”

 

“You do.. H-how?”

 

“Eunbi unnie told me everything before I give you those flowers...”
