Don't wake me up (from this dream)

"That was delicious~" Jaemi groaned softly as she patted her stomach, smiling softly. "I definitely won't regret this agreement. For sure," she said with a small laugh as she looked at Jungwoo.

"I am glad that my cooking is to you liking," he spoke nonchalantly. Jaemi laughed at the voice he used.

"But really, it was super delicious, Jungwoo, even if it was just bibimbap." Jaemi brushed some of her hair away from her face. Jungwoo smiled at her.

"Then you have to make me a lunch just as delicious as you think my dinner was," he challenged.

"Oh I definitely will," Jaemi accepted, a competitive glint in her eyes. "I'll make you a lunch so delicious that you will cry, Kim Jungwoo," and the latter laughed.

"Well, it better be that good, then, An Jaemi." And they continued joking back and forth like that for a while before they cleaned up what they have used, and noticed that it had become a bit late.

"Oh, I should get home and get everything ready for tomorrow," Jaemi sighed as she looked at her watch.

"Well, we basically live right next to each other, so just come and get me if anything happens, okay?" Jungwoo said calmly, placing a hand on Jaemi's shoulder. She gave him a thankful smile.

"I will," as she dusted off her skirt, Jaemi stretched and let out a tired yawn. "I might even go to bed early and wake early." She gave Jungwoo a small bow before straightening up again and giving him her biggest smile.

"Thanks for being my new friend, Kim Jungwoo," she spoke as she reached out her hand.

"The pleasure is all mine, An Jaemi," he replied back with an equally bright smile.

"I'm so tired right now..." Jaemi said with a soft groan as she flopped down on her bed. "I wonder if I'll dream of that guy again?" she thought out loud as she stared up at the white ceiling.

After pondering for a small while, Jaemi decided to get ready for bed, this time choosing something a bit lighter as she had been feeling a bit warm in the evening.

Crawling under the soft covers, Jaemi took a last glance at her bedside clock, noticing that she was going to bed way too early, before she closed her eyes and drifted in to her sleep.

When she opened her eyes, Jaemi still saw the same beautiful daffodils from last time, but this time, instead of waking up while lying down and being alone, she was standing and staring at the back of Donghyuck as he seemed to be focused on something on the ground.

Silently moving, Jaemi managed to get behind the other and see that he was staring at a small flower: a white clover, if she wasn't too bad at remembering the flowers.

"What are you looking at so intensely?" Jaemi asked as she bent over, right beside Donghyuck's ear. This seemed to get his attention as he jumped, clutched his ear and let out a small shriek that Jaemi couldn't help but laugh at.

When Donghyuck noticed that his disturber was the girl he smiled. "You really scared me there~" he said with a small pout and a shake of his head. He looked adorable in Jaemi's eyes.

"Sorry about that. But my question still stands," she spoke as she pointed behind Donghyuck. "What were you looking at so intensely that you didn't notice me?" As she finished her question, she saw that Donghyuck's ears were red and his cheeks seemed to be dusted pink. This made her even more curious.

"I- uh- I was looking at this," he said with a small smile as he moved, showing Jaemi a small bundle of white clovers. She gave a questioning look to Donghyuck.

"Why were you staring so intensely at these..?" a small frown presented itself on her face as she tilted her head, deep in thought.

"I was staring at them because they're not my flowers," Donghyuck replied, his blush gone as he smiled brightly at Jaemi. "They're your flowers, Jaemi," he spoke, his voice giddy. "These flowers represent your feelings."

Jaemi felt surprsed as she slowly squatted down beside Donghyuck, looking at the flowers, gently touching them. "They're really mine?" she asked softly and he nodded. "But what meaning do they have?" she asked again, this time looking at Donghyuck.

He smiled at her. "It means that you were thinking of someone. And since this is a place only you and I can be in, my guess is that you might've thought of me," he said, his ears turning red again as he scratched the back of his neck. And Jaemi just thought he looked too cute to not .

"Oh? You think so? But I didn't think of you even once, because I was busy spending time with a new friend of mine~" she said with a grin, a glint in her eyes as Donghyuck looked up at her with a pout. "Is that really true?" he asked softly, lowering his gaze down to the clovers.

Jaemi let out a soft sigh, patting Donghyuck's head like you would a dog, trying to reassure him. "Of course not. I don't know why I was reminded of you when I was with Jungwoo, but if they really are my flowers, then it's probably true that they're here because I thought of you." As she spoke, Jaemi noticed the slight tensing of Donghyuck's body when she mentioned Jungwoo, even though it passed quickly as she continued talking.

"So I wasn't wrong..." he muttered softly and Jaemi couldn't help but chuckled softly at the glee in his voice. "No you weren't," she said with a small shake of her head before sitting down and looking ot in the field. "But I was curious about one thing, Donghyuck," said boy turned his head towards Jaemi. "What do you do when I'm not here with you?"

"I wake up, just like you do, or I stay in this world a bit longer, enjoying the quiet," he explained with a small smile. "But don't you have school to attend to?" Jaemi asked with a small frown.

Donghyuck gave her a side smile. "I am home-schooled, so my schedule isn't really set for each day, like yours seems to be," he explained, fiddling  with one of the many daffodils. Jaemi just nodded her head, not wanting to push the topic further.

"It would have been really fun if you could come to school with me, though," she sighed softly, resting her head on her knees. "I bet it'd be so much fun, you, me and Jungwoo, all of us together at school." This time she didn't notice Donghycuk flinching at the mention of Jungwoo's name.

"Yeah... it would have been so much fun." His smile seemed tight, when Jaemi looked at him, but she gave him a small, genuine smile instead. "But now I at least have Jungwoo to make my school life a bit less mundane, and I have you in my dreams, where I can talk to you about whatever." A soft breeze spread over the field, rustling the flowers as Jaemi finished her words.

Donghyuck reached his hand out and gently patted the top of her head. "Were you alone at school before? What about your classmates?" He asked, his gaze focused out onthe field.

"My parents aren't home that much and, to be honest, my life is not that exciting. And I don't know why, but I just never... really wanted to hang out with my classmates?" Jaemi chuckled as she scratched her neck. "And me now being friends with Jungwoo is a total coincidence, since he's just a new student and I happened to help him."

"Who is he, this Jungwoo?" Jaemi wasn't able to hear the uneasiness in Donghyuck's voice. "He's a really nice guy and he lives just one floor up from me. He also helped me in class and vice versa. I think he'll become a really good friend for me in the future." Her smile had grown slightly wider as she talked about Jungwoo, turning towards Donghyuck. "But tell me about your life, too, Hyuck. What kind of friends do you have?"

Said boy turned towards Jaemi, biting the inside of his cheek as he pondered on what to tell her. "I have two friends," he started, looking straight into her eyes. "I have you and a classmate of mine named Minhyung. He's a really cool guy, pretty chill and we get along well," he explained. "But when I'm with him I don't feel the same sense of tranquility as when I'm with you," he said with a soft smile before patting Jaemi on the head again.

"Tranquility?" she asked, tilting her head slightly and giving Donghyuck a curious gaze. "As in you feel relaxed when you're with me?" He just nodded at her words before removing his hand again, letting it rest on the ground. Jaemi felt kind of proud, being able to give Donghyuck this kind of peace, even though the two of them were basically strangers.

"Maybe we have a special relationship, then? I've never been this comfortable with a stranger before, either," Jaemi giggled, gazing as she noticed that the sun was setting. She frowned before asking Donghyuck, "Is the sun setting because we'll soon wake up?"

"Yeah. Since the time flows the other way here, it becomes night here when it becomes day outside our dream." His words made Jaemi panic slightly. "I have to wake up early! I promised Jungwoo I'd make us both lunch-" she quickly stood up and brushed some dirt off her . "Donghyuck, how do you wake up?"

He looked slightly hurt by her words but Jaemi didn't want to break her promise to Jungwoo on the first day. "You just wake up naturally, or.." he muttered the last part, making Jaemi lean down to try and hear what he said. "Or what? This is really important, Hyuck.." she gave him pleading eyes as their gazes locked and Donghyuck sighed.

"I'll make sure you get back safe, okay? Trust me, I won't let you break your promise," he spoke as he also stood up. "But you are not allowed to hate me, because I'm just sending you back, okay?" Jaemi nodded and prepared her for whatever Donghyuck was going to do to send her back.

She just managed to get a glimpse of the flowerfield changing into a blue hue before she noticed how close Donghyuck had gotten to her face. "What-" her words were cut off as he placed a soft kiss to her lips. Before she could say anything she felt herself slip into darkness.

Jaemi sat up with jolt, her eyes wide and her hand quickly reaching for . He freaking took my first kiss, was her first thought before she glanced at the clock. Letting out a sigh, Jaemi laid back down. She still had around an hour and thirty minutes before she would meet up with Jungwoo.

After a while she got up and began getting ready for the day, though she was still slightly angry at the fact that Donghyuck had just kissed her like that. Well, I'll just scold him tonight, she thought before she got things ready for making breakfast and lunch.
