"Are you terrified?" Joohyun arched a perfect brow. Long chestnut brown hair curled into soft locks that beautifully framed her petite face. Eyes the shade of a cross between chocolate and mahogany paired with long dark lashes. However, her expression was far from pretty. A fire lit in her irises full of wicked need—the need to specifically wreck havoc—as it was her devil's night phase. The only day in the year where consequences could be damned for all she or anyone could care.
Trouble and chaos frequently followed her at every step of the way, trailing behind in her shadows. Today was the day she could give into the darkness. everyone else.
"Not even in the slightest." He nonchalantly shrugged, but the small tremble of his fingers betrayed his false words. Here, she thinks, is a prime example of one of the weaker humans in their society.
"Really?" she spoke, a tad too soft to be considered too cold, but Bae Joohyun herself was a contradiction. Cruel, but not inhumane, corrupt, but not morally incorrect. However, she was too far from good to be considered anything less of a monster.
They were in the middle of the abandoned warehouse. One of the few sights in their town that would guarantee seclusion and quietness.
"Yeah." She stared at him in disbelief. "Okay, maybe I'm a little hesitant," he mumbled underneath his breath.
Joohyun pursed her lips, harshly scowling. How tragically disappointing. "I'm not going home,” she retorted blasély, not tonight or tomorrow morning.
"I know, but..." He knitted his brows together. He was chewing on his bottom lip, stuck in a clear dilemna.
