Not an update [A/N] + Special
The Sun's Laments
Hi everyone thank you for reading and keeping up with the story so far I'm so grateful for each and everyone of you. This chapter is to explain some of the subtle details in the story that may be glazed over but I felt like they are important to shape the relationship between Yongsun and Byulyi in this story. If you would like to decipher them yourself you can skip this chapter and come back later to read it after the story had been completed!
The torn piece
A part of the paper was torn off from Byulyi’s bucket list. The torn off part later appears again in the fourth chapter when Byul proposes to Yong. In a rush she tore off that part, in order to surprise Yong later on. Good job if you figured this out!
The scented candles
This could've been elaborated in more detail, but essentially the flowers the candles represented all had a specific meaning to them. This is Byulyi's message to Yong:
SWEETPEA Good-bye, Departure, Blissful Pleasure, Thank You for a Lovely Time
PRIMROSE Eternal love
DAFFODIL You're the Only One, The Sun is Always Shining when I'm with You
- (YELLOW) There's Sunshine in Your Smile, Hopelessly in Love
FORGET-ME-NOT True love, Memories
The flowers essentially spell out Byulyi’s love letter to Yong, this is what she wanted to say:
“Although the tides of time may separate us, and the depths of the earth consign me to oblivion (meaning: and everyone may forget about me), I will love you forever. Your smile is brighter than the radiant sunshine, and I find myself falling everyday. Thank you for everything, I love you, and I hope I live on in your memories. ”
(p.s. I realise that I do use rather high tariff vocabulary at times, so I will try my best to simplify it, or add a glossary or include its meaning! )
Shorter chapters
If it feels like the chapters are getting shorter, it's because they are. Don't worry, it's not because I'm lazy and skipped detailing. It's to signal how the time they're spending together is slowly shortening, unraveling itself. Maybe this is minor, but I think it's important to piece everything together for the story to have a significance behind it.
That's about all I'm about to reveal for now, I hope you've all been enjoying the story so far!
