"Thank you for reminding me what butterflies feel like."

Summer is the hottest season that anyone can think of. No one desires to be outside on a humid day when they can just stay in where the cool air is but when one craves for something cold and sweet. Ice cream calls to the mind.

Jeongyeon was out wearing her comfy overall shorts with a black and white striped cropped-tee with her white shoes she enjoyed wearing. She her ice cream with her tongue enjoying the sweet coldness going down .

She was listening to a random song on her phone with her ear buds as she went to the store for a moment for the ice cream and just when she was going to change the song, a video call was coming in from Bobby.

Her heart jumped quickly seeing the contact of image of him with a smile that made her think of a cute bunny. She hadn't spoke to Bobby since last night after she ate with him, Jinhwan and his girlfriend Mijoo.

The call stopped and she heard the music playing again on her phone but the video call popped up again. Jeongyeon knew she wasn't going to win by not answering his video call. She couldn't help but smile shaking her head and slide the ringer to the side. "Hi."

Bobby was fixing his hair with his fingers running it through like a model would. "Hey, what are you doing?"

Jeongyeon raised her eyebrows her ice cream in front of him. "Isn't it obvious?"

He glared at her remark but he couldn't help but roll his eyes with a smile spreading across his face. "Are you doing anything right now?"

"Not particularly. Why?" She put the ice cream in wanting to take in as much as she could. She saw Bobby making a face but he only chuckled at her cuteness.

"Well since I said I would help you with... well you know." He chuckled again trying not to make it awkward around them. "Anyways, since it's hot. I wanted to show you a place where we can cool off. You in?"

I just wanted to relax today since its hot.

"It will get your mind off a lot of things. It's worthwhile." He kinked his eyebrow upward making Jeongyeon laugh at his gesture.

"How about some other time?" Jeongyeon didn't want to say no, but her heart was making her nervous and when he brought up his help, it made her feel guilty and give her second thoughts.

Maybe this is bad after idea after all.

"Are you blowing me off?" Bobby raised his eyebrows leaning into the camera of his phone.

Jeongyeon rolled her eyes. "No, I just think --"

"Stop thinking Jeongyeon and come with me." Bobby cut her off with a smirk. "Or else you leave me no choice."

"What's that suppose to mean?" Jeongyeon furrowed her eyebrows at his remark. "What are you planning to do?"

Bobby winked at her with a goofy smile she secretly adored. "If I give you the address will you come or not?"

Jeongyeon finished the last of her ice cream and shook her head. "I'm just going to relax at home. I'll see you -- Bobby?"

She widen her eyes at her phone seeing it go back to her background of her and her older sister Seungyeon. She blinked her eyes at it realizing Bobby ending the video call with her and the music continued playing back in her ear buds.

What was that about?

She was trying to think of what he could possibly do, but nothing came to mind. She shrugged it off and went back home. She had her ice cream that satisfied her enough and listening to her music.

"Oh? Hello Jiwon! How are you?" A sweet older woman named Hyojoo looked at her phone with an unexpected video call from a sweet boy she cared for.

"Hello, I'm good and you?" Bobby smiled into the video looking at the woman's face. She looked good and healthy. He smirked knowing he had a good back up plan in case Jeongyeon said no. He did the next best thing.

He went to her Mother.

"I'm good thank you for asking. What can I do for you?" She asked holding the phone as she moved around her home. "Is it Jeongyeon? Is she bullying you?"

Bobby chuckled shaking his head at her silly comment. "No, Jeongyeon is a good girl just a bit stubborn."

"Ah she gets that from her father." Hyojoo joked to the young boy. "If she bullying you let me know. I'll straighten her out."

Bobby knew her mother was serious when it came to Jeongyeon. He cleared his throat as he was walking down the street heading to the place he would be waiting for Jeongyeon soon. "Is she home yet?"

"I believe so." Hyojoo turned to the door and saw her daughter come in taking off her shoes. "You know, I've always wanted you and her to get together. I hoped it would've be you."

Bobby smiled at her feeling his heart jump with excitement. "Me too. I would like that."

"Is there a way for that to happen?" Hyojoo asked looking at the boy.

"Let's just say I'm working on it. Can you give me a little push?" Bobby winked at her with a pleading smile.

She got the messaged and decided to play along. "Jeongyeon look who decided to give me a call?"

Jeongyeon turned to her mother and widen her eyes the moment she did. opened and raced to the phone holding it to her face. "YOU CALLED MY MOM? WHAT THE HELL -- OW!"

Jeongyeon flinched when her mother smacked her arm playfully. "Don't be rude to my guest!"

"Mom he is using you to get to me!" Jeongyeon rubbed her arm from the hit.

"So? I don't mind you hanging out with Jiwon." Hyojoo stuck out her tongue at the young girl. "I'm still waiting on the news for when you both make it official."

"MOM!" Jeongyeon shouted at her mother making the older woman flinch in her place. "I'm with... Hanbin remember?"

Hyojoo rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Honestly Sweetheart, no offense, you don't have any chemistry with him. Hanbin is sweet and kind but he isn't Jiwon. Right Jiwon?"

Bobby couldn't believe Hyojoo said that to Jeongyeon. Her own daughter. Normally parents support their children no matter who they date. But there were some like Hyojoo, who told her daughter straight up. He cracked a wide smile but nodded quickly like a happy child getting a golden star. "Your mother knows best Jeongyeon."

She snarled at him wanting to smack him the moment she saw him physically. She couldn't help but roll her eyes and place her hands on her hips. "What is it going to take for you to get off the phone with my mom?"

Bobby smirked taping his chin with his index finger. He stared at her mother but she gave him a wink. He averted his eyes back to the young girl. "Come out and play with me."

"What are you five?" Jeongyeon rolled her eyes but that only earned her another smack on the arm by her mother. "Ow! Mother this is abuse!"

Hyojoo scoffed not caring. "I'm sure she would love to go and play with you Jiwon."

Bobby nodded like a happy child all over again. "Don't you think so? I'm sure we will have loads of fun."

Jeongyeon groaned not taking it anymore. "Fine! Where am I meeting you?"

Bobby smirked and gave Hyojoo a thumbs up, that gave her a laugh before he hung up. Jeongyeon grabbed her phone because she knew he would be messaging her. Sure enough, she was right and she saw the address to the place he wanted to meet her.

She sighed and gave her mother a glare. "I can't believe you took his side."

"So? I like Jiwon and I wished you both would date." Hyojoo went to her room leaving the girl dumbfounded at her remark.

I can't believe she said that!

She knows I'm with Hanbin...

Jeongyeon went back to her shoes and bent down to put them back on. "I'll be back later!"

She left her home and followed the directions to where Bobby wanted to meet. She hadn't been to the place before so it would take her a while before she found the right bus and the right stop to meet him.

Where are we meeting?

- - -

Bobby couldn't stop smiling as he kept replying the moment with Hyojoo and Jeongyeon in his mind. He was surprised her mother wanted them together instead of Hanbin. He felt bad thinking that but maybe her mother saw something others didn't.

Either way, he felt good knowing Hyojoo was giving him permission to do what it would take for Jeongyeon to be his. Bobby wasn't going to waste anymore time or stay on the sidelines. He was taking this opportunity and make the most of it.

He had too.

Jeongyeon is everything to him. He was going to plan everything and get her to realize that she should've be with him from the beginning. He wanted to show her new ways of being free and happy. He could offer that to her and show her she can be herself and not pretend.

He wanted to show her everything he could possibly think of and win her affection.

He had to.

No more behind the shadows.

He has no desire to hurt his best friend this way but Jeongyeon is also his best friend but he hoped it would change into something more.

He challenged himself to do it this week while Hanbin was far away.

Bobby accepted his own challenge.

- - -

Jeongyeon ended up taking a taxi and paired the fair for taking her to the place Bobby gave her. She looked around seeing a bunch of children playing, screaming having a good time. Parents were around having a picnic and enjoying the hot weather.

Jeongyeon scanned the area and she saw Bobby standing in an open area that seemed spacious. She stuffed her hands in her pockets while she walked over to him. Every step she took, she could feel the pounding of her heart hit inside of her chest needing to explode any second.

It's just Bobby.

Why is my heart getting excited over him?

It's all in my head.

She took out her hands from her pockets and gave them a shake to get rid of any nerves she was carrying. The closer she got to him, she wished she had made up a better lie not to meet him. But there was something that was occurring to her.

Why was she avoiding him?

She agreed to his help and wanted to try it.

She agreed to anything dealing with Bobby to help her forget being with Hanbin.

Why was she avoiding that?

She knew spending time with Bobby she can herself.

Why was she avoiding the one thing that Bobby can help her with?

Was it because she was nervous?

Was it because she didn't know how to act around him?

It had been a while since she had hung out with Bobby. They did it for a while before Hanbin asked her out but then things changed. Bobby and Jeongyeon didn't talk like before. There was an invisible wall between them the moment she agreed to be with Hanbin.

She wasn't sure how it got there but it grew bit by bit.

She wished it never did because truthfully, she missed being around Bobby. Her best friend. Her first long time crush when she started the new school.

As she got closer to Bobby, she realized he was wearing purple-pink faded tie-dye shirt with black letters on them with black skinny jeans but of course for fashion purposes; there were holes on the knee area. Despite his simple attire, he is attractive in Jeongyeon's eyes.

Jeongyeon cleared getting Bobby's attention as she gave him an awkward wave. "Hey."

He smiled putting his phone away after searching a few things. "Hey, you got here ok?"

Jeongyeon shrugged. "You owe me a meal."

He chuckled agreeing knowing she took a taxi than the bus. He didn't care, just as long as she found the place and was there with him. "Fine."

"So what did you want to show me?" Jeongyeon put her hands in the back of her overall pockets.

It took Bobby a moment to realize what she was wearing. He felt his mouth go dry as he stared at the cropped shirt hugging her body figure like second skin showing her stomach.

If she was mine, I would cover her up.

He shook his thoughts away and tried to focus on the main event. He smirked looking away for a moment but he couldn't help but stare at her long flawless legs. "Come here."

He held out his hand and she took it.

They walked on the open spacious area that not many people were walking on. Jeongyeon found it odd. She would think people would walk on the spacious area instead of being crowded around it.

She didn't think anything of it but she did notice that some parts of the ground had holes.

That's weird?

She saw a few more around her and wondered what was this place. "Bobby where are --"

"Stay right here." He left go of her hand and went to stand on the side. He smirked biting his bottom lip. "She is going to kill me after this."

He couldn't help but chuckle as he waiting for the moment to come.

Jeongyeon stood in her place waiting for whatever to happen and before she could call out to Bobby, a splash of water went up her nose unexpectedly wetting her all over. She gasped within a second as she got wet once again from standing in the same spot.

She heard a few laughs from around her. Jeongyeon opened her eyes and pushed her hair to the back since it was now wet. She saw Bobby laughing so much he held his side. Jeongyeon glared making her way over to him.

She felt like a kitten who just got soaked. "YOU'RE. SO. DEAD!"

Her clothes were sticking to her but it didn't matter. She was going to kill Bobby first and then take his clothes for herself.

As she was getting closer her foot slipped from the water that was under her shoes making her lose her balance. She could've fallen back and hurt herself but Bobby was fast enough to wrap his arms around her waist pulling her to his chest.

The two stayed in place without talking and without breaking eye contact. Jeongyeon had her hands on his shoulders making it silent around each other like in the movies when the world stops and it's just them in slow motion.

"Now, wasn't that refreshing?" Bobby joked keeping his arms around her waist. He felt her soaked overalls but it didn't matter. It was a hot day after all.

"I can't believe you!" Jeongyeon smacked his chest trying to push him away. But every time she did, she would lose balance and Bobby would be right in front of her keeping her steady so she wouldn't fall.

Bobby chuckled seeing her act annoyed but he could see it in her eyes that she loved it. "Do you want to cool off again? I'll join you."

Jeongyeon moved her hair out of the way hearing him say that. She gave him a glare but she still managed to wiggle out from his grasp and pull him to the same area she got wet. The water went off every three to five minutes. Children would run along the water as it went up high and others enjoyed the water hitting their heated body.

Jeongyeon slipped again but Bobby caught her just in time.

"Careful twinkle toes." He joked.

She grunted elbowing him in the stomach, which made him groan but he chuckled.

The water went up again and this time, Bobby felt it go up his nose making him cough it out just like Jeongyeon did. She laughed seeing him struggle and he knew it was karma.

He looked over to Jeongyeon as she was soaked all over. She was enjoying the water fountain park just like the children. He smiled, relaxing himself just as she probably was.

She thinks too much.

I'm glad I got her here.

He wanted to take her out on a few dates to show her he is better than Hanbin but something wasn't sitting right by doing such things. He wanted to make Jeongyeon feel happy, relax and have fun. He wanted her to be comfortable with him.

Bobby took a few steps towards he and cupped her face. He simply leaned his forehead to hers and shut his eyes hearing the sound all around them. Children laughing, the water shooting up, and the touch of Jeongyeon's hands that were on his wrists. Jeongyeon on the other hand became shocked at his sudden movements. She said nothing because her heart was bursting rapidly.

He sighed wanting to kiss her right then and there but it was too soon. He moved away slowly and opened his eyes staring at such a beautiful sight in front of him.

Jeongyeon's hair was wet but it didn't matter.

She was looking at him for the first time.

"Jeongyeon... I.." He whispered moving his forehead back to hers closing his eyes. He sighed and knew he couldn't do it. He badly wanted to tell her something that was making his heart take over his body but he couldn't do it. He didn't want to scare her off or ruin the mood.

Why did he stop?

What was he going to say just now?

Jeongyeon kept holding onto his wrists.

Her heart was sending her little feelings inside making her feel nervous. She wanted to pull away and just enjoy the water but instead, Bobby kept her in the same place for a few more minutes.

The moment Jeongyeon closed her eyes, she felt a softness on her forehead making her feel relaxed and secure. It was then she realized that Bobby had kissed her forehead.

She opened her eyes to have a look at him, he was already staring at her with only a look that made her knees buckle but thankfully he would be there if they really did. He smiled at her, an adoration smile that made her heart pick up its pace.

"Catch me!" Jeongyeon broke up the moment and started sliding with her shoes knowing it was safer instead of running. She squealed as the water came up from below spraying her but she was using her arms for balance.

She slid again but this time to the side. She held out her arms for balance squealing. She did a quick turn and saw Bobby trying to walk towards her without falling. He also held out his arms for balance slowly going towards the girl who gave him a huge smile on his face. He was taken by surprise at her playful side and he couldn't resist going after her.

He saw her struggling to walk around the wet area trying to get away from him. He didn't want her to fall or end up hurting herself. He did the unthinkable and decided to take a few quick steps and he slid going to her.

Jeongyeon gasped noticing him making his way to her but she tried to get away but instead the water shot up again creating a wall for them to be separated. She moved in between the water covering herself but there would be no point since she was already soaked.

Bobby grunted as he slid again but he caught himself as his hands touched the ground. The water was still going off but it went down. He saw Jeongyeon laughing away with a few kids that were watching her but he knew she was having fun.

He was glad.

She needed it.

He pushed himself up from the ground and went to Jeongyeon being sneaky and quickly wrapped his arms around her waist from behind making her squeal at the sudden surprise. She tried wiggling out from his grasp but he had a firm grip on her. "Gotcha!"

Jeongyeon gave up on trying to escape him. She sighed but she left her hands on his. She smiled turning her head to look at him. "Fine, claim your prize."

He gave her a smug look but he moved his head to the crook of her neck taking in a sweet scent that was the same since high school. He moved to her ear, sending chills down her spine which happened to make her feel chilly.

She had no idea what he was doing. All she knew was that he heart was racing faster again and she could feel her cheeks burning in the process at their closeness.

"Don't tempt me Jeongyeon." He whispered into her ear. He closed his eyes leaning into her for the first time. "Because I will collect, just not now."

Jeongyeon faced the front, away from him

She didn't know what to do or what to say.

All she knew was that, her heart was racing and there was no stopping it.

- - -

A girl with dark hair was tilting her head to the side seeing a girl with a familiar hair color. She was laughing and having fun with a boy who also looked familiar.

The girl tilted her head to the other side trying to understand what they were doing.

Are they having fun as friends or more?

She titled her head again and wondered.

She moved her head straight and widen her eyes. She saw the boy wrap his arms around the girl and he looked comfortable holding her. The girl in his arms seemed comfortable by his touch and could only smile.

What's going on?

Why are they lo
