What is a mask?

The dictionary definition: A covering for all or part of the face. Or, anything that disguises or conceals.

Bang Minah's definition: The only thing keeping her alive. Her mask was there to hide the scars that were cut into her so deeply. She always wore a mask, both literally and figuratively. Her mask kept the pain from showing, the weakness from coming out.

At Seoul High School, no one has ever seen what lied beneath Minah's mask. They had never seen her face. So, they ridiculed her and isolated her, the same way they did to anyone that didn't fit in. They wanted to know what lied underneath her mask, but they were afraid.

Once her senior year started, Minah wished it would go by as fast as possible. She wanted to leave that dreaded place and move on to somewhere new.

But, her senior year, five guys would come into her life and for the first time, she would find that they truly wanted to know what was beneath her mask. They weren't afraid. They wanted to help her, to heal all the scars.

So, will she ever let anyone see what lies beneath the mask?
