You And Me

Let Us Practice Love

Yixuan pressed the end call button when it was diverted to the voice mail again.

She had been trying to reach the big boy since morning but all her calls went unanswered. She was pretty sure that he did not have any event in the morning and wondered if he was still angry with her for returning without him. But it was highly impossible since he did reply her with an emotion icon yesterday night after she send him the message, even though it was an angry face 😡!

"Yiyi, come play with us!"

Her three year old nephew, Kyle whom she called Lele broke her thoughts when he ran into the living room and dragged her into the playroom.

"Yiyi, why didn't Uncle JJ return with you this time?"

Yixuan's five year old niece, Kayla looked up from her drawing and asked as soon as she stepped in.

"Uncle JJ had to work. Why? Do you miss him?"

Yixuan smiled as she looked at the lovable girl.

"Yes, I do. I like him coaching me on the piano. You know what Yiyi? The new piano teacher Mummy got me is so fierce. And his skill is nowhere near Uncle JJ..!"

Kayla went up to Yixuan and couldn't help but complained slightly.

"Oh really? Is your Uncle JJ that wonderful?"

Yixuan couldn't help but chuckled at the little girl's words.

"Of course he is Yiyi! Uncle JJ is a big superstar. He composes great music and I love all his songs. And Uncle JJ is so cute,  so funny, and so handsome..."

Kayla stated naively as she counted with her tiny fingers trying to list out all the good points of her favourite uncle.

"I LIKE Uncle JJ too!"

Kyle jumped up excitedly from his star wars toys and joined in at the mention of their uncle.

"Ya, and that's because Uncle JJ always buy 弟弟 your favourite toys!!!"

Kayla reminded and her brother laughed at once.

"So you wanna marry your Uncle JJ when you grow up then, Lala? Since you know he got so many good points?"

Yixuan niece and asked.

"No! Because by the time I grow up, Uncle JJ will be old. And isn't Uncle JJ your boyfriend, Yiyi? You are the one who should marry him!"

Kayla frowned and looked at Yixuan seriously instead.

"Noooo, of course... not! Who told you that seriously... Lala? Uncle JJ is just a good friend of mine. And he is my boss!"

Yixuan nearly chocked on her imaginary saliva and defended quickly.

"But Uncle JJ is a boy and he is your friend. So he should be your boy-friend. And you two matched each other. So when Yiyi marry him, he can be our real uncle."

Kayla analysed carefully.

"Yeah yeah!!! I wanna Uncle JJ to be our family!!!"

Kyle danced and clapped his hands at once, even though she is pretty sure he did not understand too much on what his sister was saying.

If only things can be that simple....

"NOPE Lele!  Stop that! He will only be your Uncle JJ. Nothing more!"

Yixuan stopped the active boy from clapping and pulled him onto her laps playfully.

"Huh but why Yiyi??? Don't you like Uncle JJ as well..?"

Kayla touched her chin and asked, feeling disappointed. Kyle was looking at her waiting for an answer too.

"I....hmm..."

Yixuan did not know how to answer, obviously taken aback by the question posted by the 5 year old.

If only relationship can be this simple....喜欢和不喜欢..

"Grandma...."

Both kids greeted loudly and brought Yixuan back to reality at once.

"Don't forget about your date tomorrow Xuan! Please find something decent to wear. And please keep your mobile off your hand like what you have been doing since just now."

Mdm Jiang walked in and reminded. Her screen was at the call log, as she was still trying to reach JJ while talking with the kids all this while.

"I know what to do Mum!"

Yixuan answered and kept her mobile away quickly. Her 6th sense was telling her something was off with that boy, but she could not make out what.

At about 4 plus, her gut feeling proved to be right when she was informed that JJ will be calling off his event for tonight.
