I remembered meeting the most beautiful man I had ever seen in my entire life, standing in front of a big cherry blossom, smiling as the flowers enveloped him like he was going to fly away with them any moment. And so, I reached out and grabbed his wrist,

"Don't go!"

I uttered without thinking, and he just simply smiled and replied sweetly,

"Okay”

We became friends since then, hanging out every day, spending most of our time under that very same tree. We fell in love, eventually got married and shared wonderful moments together, that I selfishly thought would last forever, but then, who was I kidding, there was no such thing as forever.  I learned that when he suddenly become weak and experienced pains all over his body and got rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night. He has stage 4 cancer and he only has 3 months to live.

I cried for the both of us as he just simply smiled and told me everything was going to be fine even though it will never be. I wiped my tears harshly and calmed myself down, promising him to make memories like there‘s no tomorrow and so we did. He laughed and smiled until the end, not showing any tears nor pain. Until his very last breath, he had that charming smile of his but I managed to catch a single tear escaped his beautiful eyes as I hold on to him not wanting to let go, but fate was cruel and he was gone forever.
