The reason why Sana didn't attend Tzuyu's birthday VLive and why no post was made the next day.

"Butter ya, Butter ya~" Dahyun cooed in the elevator going up to their dorms. Dahyun carried Butter in her arms and kept nudging the dog just to make it nudge her back to keep her awake.

Tzuyu looked over at the pair with Kaya in her arms and giggled at the sight, "You okay, unnie?"

"Wahh! I'm trying so hard to stay awake right now." Dahyun half exclaimed as they exited the elevator and punched the security code to their dorm.

The two along with their three older members just got back from the company where they had celebrated Tzuyu's birthday with ONCEs through VLive. Tzuyu was happy that the older members came out to be with her on her special day and spend some time with their fans. She hadn't expected anyone to come out for her birthday since everyone was so tired - she too was as well if she was being honest.

Even on the way back to the dorm, Nayeon and Jihyo fell asleep almost immediately when they got into the car seat while Momo tried her best to stay awake by playing with Kaya and Butter while conversing with Dahyun. Tzuyu wasn't able to catch their conversation but it had something to do with Dahyun's regret of not eating the cake they had. 

Needless to say, Tzuyu was very thankful to have found a second family after she left home to pursue her dreams. Year on year, it kept feeling like an even bigger dream and she was thankful for every single moment of it.

"Yet you still came out tonight." Tzuyu said half teasingly, half amused - wholly grateful as they entered the dorm.

Setting Butter down to the floor as she slipped out of her shoes, Dahyun shot Tzuyu a tired smile, "Anything for you."

Dahyun was about to head her way when she remembered something and turned around to Tzuyu who had just put away her shoes, "Oh! I almost forgot."

"Hmm?" Tzuyu hummed in wonder as she faced Dahyun who approached her again.

"Come here." Dahyun's hand went up to Tzuyu's neck and gently tugged at it to guide Tzuyu to bend down slightly.

Tzuyu smiled slyly at Dahyun's actions and allowed the older girl to plant a loving kiss on her cheek. Tzuyu never said it out loud but the girls always knew she loved to be kissed.

Once she pulled away, Dahyun wished Tzuyu happy birthday again - in Mandarin this time and Tzuyu's heart was shook at how perfectly rehearsed it sounded. She could tell that Dahyun tried her best to get the pronunciation and intonations correct for her.

Dahyun smiled and shrugged innocently at Tzuyu's face that was full of gratitude before she started to make her way to her room. However, it seemed like Butter was jealous at the display of affection and went to follow Dahyun. The pup playfully tried to block Dahyun's way to her room. Dahyun chuckled tiredly at the playful Butter and groaned a little. It seemed like Butter wanted to play with her but Dahyun was beat tired.

"No Butter ya ~ Dahyunnie is tired. Tomorrow okay?" Dahyun promised before she carefully stepped around the pup to go to her room. She was stopped again as Butter adorably clung onto her leg.

Dahyun pouted at how cute Butter was and sent Tzuyu a distressed look as a cry for help.

Tzuyu chuckled before moving to approach them and scooped Butter into her free arm while the other held a calm Kaya.

"I know you're tired too, Butter ya. Come on, let's go. Say good night to Dahyunnie." Tzuyu cooed as she lifted Butter up to Dahyun.

Butter snuggled her nose into Dahyun's neck making Dahyun giggle before Butter was pulled away by Tzuyu, "Kaya too."

Knowing Kaya's shy and calm personality, Dahyun leant forward and took the initiative by kissing Kaya's head before rubbing her head.

"Such good babies." Dahyun praised the pups before looking up to Tzuyu, "Night, Birthday Angel."

Tzuyu beamed at the endearment Dahyun used, "Night, night, Dahyunnie."

The two carried on to their respective rooms. Tzuyu heard Dahyun's door open and close from down the hall as she put down the pups and opened her room, allowing the two pups to enter first.

"Be careful you two." Tzuyu reminded as the two excitedly ran inside. Tzuyu switched on the lights as she entered as she always did but jumped when she heard a groan come from her bed.

"Oh?" Tzuyu let out a surprised sound in reflex, switched the lights back off and squinted her eyes to her bed.

There seems to be a person snuggled up under Tzuyu's covers and Tzuyu moved to approach the bed carefully. As she got nearer, she thought she recognised Sana's features but couldn't be sure - well that's a lie. Only Sana hijacks her bed these days, really. But Chaeyoung does too some times.

"Baby?" Tzuyu tried calling out, her voice ever so soft, to the girl on her bed.

Tzuyu reached out and gently placed her hand on the duvet when the body responded again, "Nggh."

Tzuyu softened as she recognised her girlfriend's voice. Given the close proximity and her eyes already adjusted to the dark, Tzuyu could see Sana snuggled up in her bed and smiled lovingly.

"Cute." Tzuyu cooed, Sana's head lightly.

She pulled away and looked around the room and found Kaya and Butter on their cushions. She smiled fondly again and approached the pups.

She got down on her knees on the floor and petted the two pups who were trying to get comfortable.

"Kaya ya, Butter ya, be good and sleep down here okay? Mommy's resting." Tzuyu whispered. "I'm just going to wash up. I'll be back soon, okay?"

With that, Tzuyu got up and grabbed her towel, a set of her pyjamas and her skin care products to the bathroom to wash up and get ready for bed. Since Sana was already sleeping, she didn't want to disturb her girlfriend by switching on the lights and opt to do her night time routine in the bathroom instead.

Once she was done in the bathroom, Tzuyu went back into her room, tip-toeing carefully. She smiled when she saw Butter and Kaya cuddled up on the cushions by the side of her bed, both were dozed off already.

She put away all her items and looked over to the lump on her bed smiled even wider.

She tip-toed to her bed and carefully slipped under the covers. The movement and the warmth of Tzuyu's body caused Sana to wake up.

"Nggh, T-Tzuyu?" Sana sleepily called out.

"Hey, you." Tzuyu greeted softly as she shifted closer and wrapped her long limbs around Sana's waist.

Sana hummed in contentment before lazily turning herself, albeit reluctantly. Sana sighed once she had face Tzuyu - due to the tiredness her body felt due to their busy schedule for the past few weeks, a small movement took so much out of her.

A ghost of a pout made its way on to Tzuyu's face when she saw how tired her girlfriend was. She rubbed Sana's back lovingly, hoping it'll provide some comfort to Sana. She guessed it worked as Sana sleepily let out an appreciative hum at Tzuyu's actions as she cuddled into Tzuyu's neck and breathing in the younger's calming scent.

A soft and sly smile grew on Tzuyu's face when she felt a pair of soft, warm and plump lips on her neck. Tzuyu tilted her head to give Sana better access before she closed her eyes and sighed at the calming sensation it brought.

After a few kisses, Sana seemed slightly more awake and alert but was still very much dead tired. Sana lightly pulled away but was careful not to move too much and caressed Tzuyu's face.

The younger opened her eyes and melted at the loving gaze Sana was shooting at her. She could tell how incredibly tired Sana was and it was taking so much for Sana stay conscious.

Though it concerned Tzuyu seeing her girlfriend in such state, she also felt very touched by Sana's little gestures. Sure, Sana couldn't come out for her birthday and Tzuyu understood.
