Amber has never felt this way before, the giddy feeling inside her chest wouldn’t fade away even though she was trying to focus on the practice. The constant staring wouldn’t stop even if she had to try to as the younger girl couldn’t be any more helping.
Today is the last synchronization of the drama and also their last practice, she is supposed to be focused on this one. Drilling the ever so cocky Romeo is what really concern her now, his improvisation has been really satisfying for all the crews, mastering all the cheesy lines is what he is proud of the most, while in the other hand, the Juliette has been being… Juliette, taking away everyone’s heart by her well accentuate British, something that sparks interest in Amber especially when both of them know she’s from California. Every line that she said always reminds Amber that it is only for her, per se, that indeed what Krystal said to Romeo, is actually for her own Romeo, not the literal Romeo as in the drama, but her own definition of Romeo. This is what Amber hates the most from herself, this kind of thought really distracting her most of the times,
“Lights on!!” Yoseob, the director said
Focus Amber, she said to herself
However, the train of thought once again playing the moment they were in the convenience store.
Flashback
Amber scrunched her nose like she always is that only ease the tense Krystal has for her, the tension was faded into admiration that only turn Krystal's smile back while she tugs Amber's flannel and pulled her closer again.
Krystal looked into her eyes, staring from one eye to another. Stupidly, it's added to Amber's confusion. "Let's put this straight, Amber"
"I have always wished my Romeo would be this one, right here, in front of me", Krystal said as she put her forefinger to Amber's chest, eyes staring right through Amber’s orbs, deep into her soul
"Wait, whaa-" Amber said before Krystal pulled her out of the store and dragged her to a small dark path that could only be fitted for 2 people
"So, where was the conversation stopped?" Krystal asked
The minutes passed finally knock something on her brain already, making Amber grinned "You wanted someone else to be the Romeo instead" Amber grin widened
"Oh" Krystal replied blushing though Amber can't see it, she turned her face away when Amber chased her face, looking at her face closely. Krystal returned her head to the one who interests her the most, making Amber smiling to it
"I have always been into you.." Krystal said as she finally made a gap and leaned into the wall behind her, "it's hard not to notice you in our school, you know?" she paused
"You're kind, humble, cool" she wonders around, "beautiful," She said biting her lips, "and also an introvert, something I always need in person just because I'm...", Krystal stopped as she blushed
"a jealous freak" Amber finished her sentence while folding her arms looking at Krystal intently
"Y-yes... I'm a jealous freak,", she looked up as the height difference force her to
They both fell into silent
“Are you-“
“Let me finish it first”
“O-okay”, Amber pouted like a lost puppy that made Krystal soften at how cute her crush was
Krystal cupped her chin as she sighed deeply, “You, you drive me insane Amber... You are the most-clueless that you're kindest yet the weirdest person I know, and sometimes, no, most of the times I can’t catch my breath because I’m trying so hard to keep up and, and”
“And what?”
Krystal didn’t realize tears flowing into her cheeks once again, "and I really like you, only you", she paused as the sobs caught her words in , "I beg you to never co
