It’s been a day since I arrived at Korea and met THE Jessica Jung, I still can’t get over the fact that I met her. However currently I’m tasked with picking the best outfit to go meet my new boss. Ugh I have very little sense of style especially compared to the Korean style. I finally settle on a formal suit style outfit. I quickly get dressed and go to the kitchen to look for breakfast.

The kitchen is on the small side as is the whole apartment but I prefer it like this, I won’t feel as lonely. The kitchen is open to the dining and living room, down the hall is my room and next to that is the bathroom opposite that is the guest room. Not that I have friends in Korea but in case some of my friends want to visit me in Korea. I look around my kitchen for food but I don’t really have any food as I haven’t gone out to buy food, I might as well go get something from the connivance store down the street. I got a simple breakfast and ate it at the dedicated section of the store, while checking my phone. My friends have texted me wishing me good luck for my first day, it’s sweet considering the time difference. I reply to all the messages to my friend and finish my food, I then head out going towards the meeting place.

I arrive with a few minutes to spear just like I prefer as I like being early in case there has been a change of plans. I walk up to the receptionist and tell them my name and my purpose of being here, I’m told to take a seat in the waiting area. I have to wait for a couple of minutes before I’m taken to the meeting room to talk to my new boss.

I’m completely surprised by what I have been told, while I work for the translation company I also now work for SM. This is one of the biggest entertainment companies in Korea, this is an amazing opportunity but I’m nervous to meet all the staff and idols. I will be having a meeting with the SM idols that I’m going to be working with tomorrow but today I have to go through the full induction.

Once I have finished the induction they tell me I’m free to go home as they have no work for me currently. I make my way out of the building when I’m reminded that I have no food at home, I decide that while I’m already out I might as well go to a store and buy some food. I go to the store that’s somewhat close to my apartment as I don’t want to travel a long way with bags. I don’t own a car currently but I do have driving license, I will look into buying a car once I’m used to the place and have collected a little more money.

I arrive home around 3p.m and decide to take a break and watch some variety shows and then I’ll make myself some diner later. I’m not currently too hungry so I’ll just have a small snack. The show that is currently on is weekly idol rerun of running man, it’s the episode with Girl’s Generation. A while later I start making diner, I’m making some pasta with meatballs.

I receive a call from my parents as I’m sitting down to eat. “Hi, how was your first day in Korea?” my mum asks. It’s clear that she’s worried, she’ll always see me as her little baby.

“Hey, it’s been good. I’m just about to eat dinner. How was your day?” We continue to talk throughout dinner. Once I’m done I wash the dishes and do some stretches before heading to have a shower. After the shower I get ready for bed, however I struggle to find sleep as I keep thing about what happened today. I will be working with an SM entertainment girl group for the next few weeks as they are going to have a tour. I wonder which group it is as there are a few groups that recently had a comeback. I hope that it’s F(x) since they are one of my all-time favourite group and Jessica did mention that her sister’s group is getting an interpreter. Since I can’t fall asleep I’ll pick out my outfit for tomorrow, I have to make a good impression as I will be working with this group for a long while.

Once my outfit is picked out I try to go to sleep again, eventually I drift off into an eventful dream. However it quickly becomes chaotic as I’m aware of the fact that it’s a dream and that I can change it as I like. My alarm rings waking me fully form the strange dream, it was good at first as I met a lot of the idol groups but then I became aware that this is a dream and I manage to change too many things causing it to become chaotic. I hope that today is better than my dream and that I don’t say the wrong thing.
