so this is where we begin. 

the first time he learns of her existence is through an lg commercial. it had been a normal and mundane day. taehyung occupied the living room with jimin and jungkook as they watched running man to pass the afternoon away. 

when the commercial comes on, he notes how nice her smile was. natural looking and not at all forced or plastic like the ones he usually sees on other models. her's was more pleasant to look at, and she had a face made and built for attention. 

in his head, the words "she's pretty" flash momentarily. then the commercial ends and taehyung doesn't really think of her again.







yg debuted a new girl group, and their tracks were sick to be fairly honest. everyone was really into it, most notably taehyung.

he'd watch the videos to learn the moves, danced to it during breaks, belt out the lyrics at the most random times and listen to it while playing video games to hype him up. he even infected jungkook and namjoon. 

they're not at all like 2ne1, but they were cool and different and taehyung thinks he'll like their future music as well and maybe them as a group in general. 

he doesn't even realize that blackpink's kim jisoo is the model in that one lg commercial from last year.







year-end parties and award shows were always somewhat a pain. he didn't want to be rude or anything, but sitting there for hours and watching performance after performance and listening to speech after speech was all in all exhausting. 

he was just being completely honest. 

although, maybe award shows did have its perks. seeing his friends and celebrities he looked up to since he was younger and talking to them backstage was always something he looked forward to. and also the fans of course. 

taehyung walked through the backstage halls of the melon music awards. the show would start in less than thirty minutes so he had to go and pee. he couldn't hold it any longer.

it was like his soul left his body for a few seconds after his brain registered in the words of the sign. he tried to push the door open but it was locked, and he felt even more helpless. he contemplated on going to the other rest room, but it was on the other side of the venue and he'd have probably peed his pants by then. 

his eyes lingered on the female's toilets. he was being squirmish, hoping on one leg back and forth as he tried to hold it in for a little while longer. he looked from left to right to see if anybody was coming. even though nobody was around to see him, it still felt weird and wrong but he felt like he didn't have any other choice.

as he hesitated, a voice startled him from behind. 

"just go in if you're desperate."

when taehyung turned around, a hand clutching on tightly to his chest and his underwear suddenly a little bit wet, he recognized her right away.

she smiled in apologetically and gestured to the ladies room. "i won't tell anyone, and i'll go in after you're finished."

taehyung really didn't want to pee his pants in front of her so he bowed and hastily went in with no further words exchanged. the release was almost therapeutic, he made sure to flush the toilet and wash his hands before going out.

he felt the heat flush his cheeks when he saw her standing outside, waiting for him like she said. "umm -"

she raised a hand to stop him and smiled. she didn't say anything else, just brushed past him and closed the door behind her. leaving him alone. he was actually a little thankful, and her gesture somewhat meant "no problem" or "don't mention it" for him.

but due to embarrassment, he didn't stick around any longer. taehyung went back to the artist's area, to s and told nobody about his run in with kim jisoo.







she was dazzling on stage. her glittery outfit, blinding smile, and shining eyes made her look so charismatic as she danced and sang. her expressions were bright and lively, and it made taehyung stare.

off stage, she was goofy and loud. taehyung could hear her laugh from where he sat and they were three tables apart. she got caught on camera trying to balance a water bottle on her shoulder from the looks of it, and the other members laughed at her antics.

taehyung laughed a little too since he had seen it on screen. he doesn't know why he keeps noticing her.







the boys don't do much these days aside from practicing and recording. preparing for their comeback was the top priority, and things like eating and sleeping were usually fourth and fifth on the list. the hard life of an idol was harder than what fans and people outside of it believed.

but nevertheless, taehyung loved being on stage and making music and traveling and buying his family gifts and meeting fans. it's why each of them work so hard all the time. they all had a reason, and those were taehyung's.

on the week of their comeback, they had inkigayo last since filming was on sundays. although it had been months since the melon awards, he was still a little shaken up at the notion of being face to face with her again.
