I hope we do, Somewhere in Brooklyn
Somewhere in Brooklyn
This is so long overdue but whatever enjoy~
The nearby church's bell tolled six times as the sun began to set.
Irene yawned.
It had been a long day, but her shift was just about over. After cleaning up the mess that a study group had left behind, she stretched and began walking back to the break room. Another day of work was over, and she could go back home and iron in pea-
Her manager Taeyeon hollered from the front counter.
"Irene? There are two customers who just came in. Can you be a doll and take care of them? I'll add an hour of overtime pay~~~"
The pretty waitress sighed.
"Alright, old woman. Even though you're subjecting me to ridiculous working hours, I'll help ou---"
"Yah! Who are you calling old? I'm only two years older than you, baka! Now go serve those two lovely ladies who are waiting so patiently for your lazy !"
Oof. . . Taeyeon-ssi isn't even Japanese. . . come to think of it, where did she learn baka? Is she an otaku too?
With a quick exhale and rub of her temples, Irene re-entered upbeat waitress mode, and strode over to the table where the two women were sitting.
"Hello, my name is Irene, I'll be your waitress for today. What can I get you?
Seulgi refused to believe it.
Seulgi wouldn’t couldn't let herself be disappointed again.
She couldn't let herself believe that after all of her searching, her angel would appear out of nowhere just when she said she was ready to move on---

Seulgi knew little else about her. Her hobbies, her interests, her favorite shows and movies---
Wow so I accomplish my old life goal of finding my angel but now I have no idea what to do next she's distracting me with her smile ugh--
“Oh! We’ve met before, haven’t we? We met that one time on the subway. I never did catch your name. . ."
Wendy, bless her soul, read between the lines. With a powerful and solemn stare into Seulgi's soul, she gave her friend a deep and meaningful look that silently said 'damn gurl u lucky as hell slide into her DMs and she finna take you to heaven, if you know what I mean
With a loud cough, Wendy got up hurriedly while spouting out her excuse for leaving.
"Damn, I just remembered that I have a . . . exorcism to perform in ten minutes. Looks like I'll have to leave early, which is a shame because now it means that my very attractive friend here who's also single by the way will have nobody to enjoy this lovely coffee date with. If only there was a pretty waitress girl somewhere whose shift was almost over to keep my dearest comrade company while I'm gone. Alas! Some tales do end in woe. Toodles!"
With a sly wink to her friend, Wendy breezily walked out the cafe, leaving behind a very bemused Seulgi and a ver
