Promise
Baby, Just Stop[Hani] Hey… we agreed to meet at one pm, right?
[LE] oh my god, hani im so sorry
[LE] I forgot to tell you I had to cancel our lunch date
[Hani] Is this about your ex again?
[LE] yes… but I promise it’s not what you think
[LE] can I meet you tonight? I’ll go to your place
[Hani] Okay
And LE knew she ed up. Hani has been nothing but understanding towards the LE-Solji situation but LE just keeps screwing things up between her and Hani. While she really likes Hani, she cannot leave Solji alone knowing that she is so miserable right now. Wouldn’t it be easier if LE’s love for Solji didn’t change?
LE feels bad and made a mental note to yourself to buy rolls of kimbap that Hani loves later at night.
Hyelin opens the door to the apartment after hearing three knocks. “Bought your favorite sushi.” LE swings her arms from left to right. Hyelin’s eyes widened when she saw the boxes of sushi on LE’s hands. She took them and even forgot to invite LE in. They joked about this often anyway, that the older woman will always be part of their family.
“Where’s Solji unnie?” LE asked as she sat on the couch, just causally browsing through the channels on the television.
“She’s still getting ready. LE unnie, do you want some sushi while waiting?”
“You can have them, Rin. Also, since when do you start sharing food?”
“I’m just being polite.” Hyelin sat next to LE with a box of sushi. And honestly, LE has always treat Hyelin like her own little sister because she is just too cute and lovely.
LE watched Hyelin eat her sushi, she always found it amusing that the younger woman can keep eating without feeling full. And the chewing sound she makes always make her ten times cuter, if that is even possible. Hyelin noticed the deafening silence and decided to speak up.
“How are things between you and Hani unnie?”
LE scoffed, “Well, it certainly isn’t doing good. I mean, Hani has been nothing but understanding, but all I give her was disappointments repeatedly. She didn’t ask for this, but I fell too hard for her to let go of what we have now.”
“Everything’s going to be fine, unnie. If Solji unnie knows how you are feeling now, she’d understand.” Hyelin set the box of sushi on the coffee table and turned her body to face LE. “If you’re willing to do this much for Solji unnie, why would you break up with her?”
“Our relationship was great, I loved her. As we grow old there were more responsibilities and there were just times that I couldn’t meet her and hang out. Solji didn’t understand this and wanted us to still meet regularly. I tried to give her what she wants because I really was in love with her. But it got difficult, and it got tiring. I couldn’t do this anymore and loving someone should never be this difficult. I asked to break up and Solji unnie blamed it on herself which I never thought she would. She blamed herself because she thought that since it was her who confessed, she has always loved me more than I loved her, which wasn’t true. I loved her as much as she loved me, but the relationship we had wasn’t healthy, at least for me.” LE took a deep breath, “I never told anyone this, so please keep this to yourself, Rin.”
Hyelin pulled LE into a hug, “I won’t tell anyone. I just want you to know that I’ve never seen unnie so happy for that three years. I will help Solji unnie to find that smile back, but we all know you need to be there for her. No matter how tiring it gets, don’t stop helping her, okay?”
LE nodded and Hyelin was relieved. She always knew LE would love Solji no matter what and she has become part of their family.
Just then, Solji came out of her room nicely dressed. She was wearing a button up shirt and high waisted jeans, simple yet classy. Solji looked great and she looked like she had a good night’s sleep. LE was more than relieved.
“What am I missing?” Solji asked as soon as she saw the two younger women hugging each other.
“Nothing, Hyelinie’s just thanking me for the sushi I bought her.” LE stood up and gave Solji a hug before they head towards the door.
Hyelin pulled the hem of Solji’s shirt, “Have f
