Chae Won opened her eyes and then closed them again. She opened them again and then she touched her forehead and felt a bit of head ache. She sat up and took a deep sigh. And then she narrowed her eyes.

�How did I get home?� she asked herself.

She stood up and headed to the bathroom, washed her face and brushed her teeth. She tied her hair up and went to the kitchen and ate breakfast. She made two sandwiches and a cold glass of orange juice. Then she went back to her room and took a shower.

After taking a bath, she chose a cute yellow top and a denim mini skirt from her closet, and a pair of boots. She changed clothes and dried her hair using the blow-dryer. Then she faced her mirror as she applies a slight make-up on her face. She chose to wear her hair down and put on a cute bracelet.

Then she stared at herself and suddenly recalled something. �I want to apply to you right now, and I�m telling you, I have the requirements you need. Hire me�to be your friend.� She frowned.

�What a joke! That guy is crazy.�

Then she locked her house and went out. She�s about to leave when she suddenly turned her head over to the garage where her Mercedes is being parked. And then she thought of a not so good idea.

Geun Suk and So Eun both went out of the office of SM�s CEO. Geun Suk suddenly stopped walking when So Eun faced him and bowed to him. �Thank you so much, Jang Geun Suk-sshi!� she looked at him and gave him a smile. �I owe you something really big. Thanks for getting me as your partner.�

Geun Suk looked at her and sighed. �That�s not a big deal; I�m in need of a partner anyway.�

So Eun is still smiling. �So, would we be sharing the same manager?�

�What?�

�I need to have a manager, too, right? Mr. CEO didn�t mention anything about that so I�m wondering. Will Geun Woo-sshi be my manager, too?�

�Yes, I will.� Geun Woo suddenly appeared and approached the two. He looked at So Eun. �Please come with me.� Geun Woo gave a first impression of being a strict manager to So Eun so the latter suddenly felt nervous. She quietly followed Geun Woo to a room. Geun Suk, on the other hand, left and went home.


So Eun is feeling uncomfortable while sitting in front of Geun Woo. �Alright.� Geun Woo started talking. �I�m not going to ask anymore of where the hell Geun Suk found you, because I trust him. But he told me, that you�ve been auditioning as a singer?�

So Eun nodded and smiled shyly. �That�s right. I�ve been auditioning in different talent agencies for three years now but it seemed like they didn�t actually see my real talent and that�s really frustrating.�

�But, can you really sing and dance?�

�Eh?� So Eun smiled. �Of course! Do you want to her me sing? Or see me dance?�

�No, it�s not necessary. I won�t be handling you as a singer or a dancer anyway. Wait a second, do you know exactly what you�re going to do?�

�Well, I will be Jang Geun Suk�s partner, right?�

�And what does Geun Suk do?�

�He�s a model.� Then So Eun suddenly thought of something. �Wait a minute, what am I supposed to do as partner?!�

Geun Woo sighed and looked at her. �You�ll be his partner; meaning, you�ll be Geun Suk�s personal assistant.�

�What???!!!�

�What does he looks like?� A police officer asked an Ahjumma.

�He�s ugly, has a big nose and he smells disgusting! Please, help me find that rascal. He got my bag and there�s a lot of important stuff there.�

�We will help you with all our effort but first, you need to describe his exact face so we can sketch him and eventually, we can find him.� 

The woman is about to speak when suddenly� �No need, officer! I got the criminal!� Il Woo entered the station, dragging a messy-looking guy with full of bruises and wounds on his face. �Ahjumma, is this your bag?� Il Woo showed an expensive bag.

�Oh, yes! That�s my bag! Thank God!�

�How did you find him?� The police officer asked Il Woo.

�I was there when this guy snatched this ahjumma�s bag so I tried to chase him.�

�Were you the one who gave those bruises?�

Il Woo smiled shyly. �No, I didn�t. I�m not good in that kind of violence. This man fell on a long staircase when he tried to escape from me. That�s why I was able to reach him.� And Il Woo handed the bad guy to the police.

�Thank you so much, young man.� The woman told Il Woo.

�It�s nothing, Ahjumma. A person like that deserves to be in jail.� Then the woman got something from her wallet. She gave Il Woo a piece of card.

�Here, keep this. Thank you again.� Il Woo kept the card even without looking at it and smiled to the woman. When the woman has left the station, Il Woo asked the policeman if he can use the bathroom.


Il Woo�s washing his hands, when he recalled the card the woman gave her. He took it from his pocket and looked at it. He read what�s on the card. �I.L.O. Agency. Hm? What does this agency do?� he kept it again in his pocket and left the bathroom.

He�s about to head to the exit of that police station when he suddenly stopped. Turned his head to the right and looked at the girl sitting in the corner of a cell. He stepped closer to the cell, where five women are caged, and stared closer at the girl sitting in the corner.

�Chae Won-sshi!� Chae Won turned her head and saw Il Woo. Il Woo asked the policeman who�s standing in front of the cell. �Excuse me officer, can I ask something? Uhm, how did that girl.,� he pointed at Chae Won. 

�Oh, the pretty girl? She was caught driving without a license, she was charged over speeding, too.�

�What? And she didn�t bail herself? That girl is rich!�

�Well, I don�t know. It seems like she�s enjoying the atmosphere inside.�

Il Woo turned to Chae Won again and shook his head. �Oh, this girl is really crazy.� Then he saw Chae Won stood up and moved closer to the rails. She looked at Il Woo.

�Why do you always appear wherever I go? You�re starting to scare me.�

�What?� Il woo coldly laughed. �Yah! Is that�s your way to thank me?�

�What? Why would I thank you?�

�Aisshh, really you. I brought you home last night, you were so drunk! Would my role won�t ever change?!�

Chae Won turned to the police officer. �I want to go out. How much is my bail?�

Chae Won paid her own bail and then went out of the station with Il Woo. �You don�t have a license?� Il Woo asked her.

�I don�t.�

Il Woo laughed. �How foolish! And you were even charged with over speeding! Do you even know how to drive properly?�

�I�m not sure. It�s just the second time I ever drive my car.�

�What?!� Chae Won stopped walking and frowned.

�I�m hungry.� She turned to Il Woo. �Where can we eat good spaghetti?�

�Spaghetti?�


The two left Chae Won�s car near the police station and they went to a nearby Italian restaurant. Chae Won ordered different kinds of spaghetti and she even treated Il Woo. 

Il Woo kept on staring at Chae Won while the latter is busy eating. He suddenly realized that she actually looks cute when she eats unconsciously. �Yah, would you digest all of that?�

�I don�t get hungry like this everyday so don�t ruin my appetite.�

�Alright, alright.� And Il Woo began eating his food. �But you know what? You�re really something. You�re the only person I know who liked staying in a jail. Why didn�t you pay your bail right away?�

�Nothing. I just wanted to know what it feels to be in jail.�

�And how does it feel?�

�Nothing special.�

Il Woo shook his head. �I really don�t get you. Are you just bored or what?� Chae Won stopped eating and looked at Il Woo. �What?� Il Woo asked.

�I want to eat cakes.�

�Cakes?�

After eating spaghetti, they went to an expensive coffee shop and ate different kinds of cakes. After that, Chae Won wanted to eat pizza so they looked for a shop which sells the best pizzas. Then she wanted ice cream, grilled meat and salad so she and Il Woo went to different food houses just to eat what she felt like eating.

They�re walking at the sidewalk when Il Woo felt something strange in his tummy. �Ah, I think my tummy�s getting upset. Did we really eat those foods? I feel like vomiting just thinking of how much we ate.�

�I�m still hungry. I want some noodles.�

�What? You�re still hungry?! I knew it, you�re abnormal.�

Chae Won looked at him. �What�s wrong with you? You should be thankful �cause I spent double because of you, and now you�re just complaining?�

�My stomach is not good. I think I need to go to the bathroom.�

�What a weakling. There!� Chae Won pointed at a public transport station. �Use the bathroom there! Better hurry now before you could pollute the air surrounding me. I won�t forgive you!�

Il Woo ran to the station and quickly headed to the bathroom to lighten his aching tummy. He stayed there for almost half an hour before he could totally felt relieved. And when he looked for Chae Won, he found her sitting on a bench while eating a grilled sweet corn.

He took a deep breath. �This girl sure has a different trip. If she�s not addicted to alcohol, she eats too much and don�t even feel full.� He frowned and then approached her.

�Does your stomach still have some space?�

�Of course.� Il Woo sat beside her.

�I swear to God, I�ll never eat with you again. My stomach almost exploded. That was close!� Then he looked at Chae Won. �By the way, don�t you do something?�

�What do you mean?�

�Don�t you have any job?�

Chae Won stood up and stretched her arms. Il Woo stood up, too. Chae Won faced him. �Do you have something to at the rest of the day?�

�What?� Il Woo thought for a while. �Well, nothing. Why?�

Chae Won sighed. �Good. Let�s go then.� And Chae Won started walking.

�Where are we going?� Chae Won turned over to him again.

�Anywhere.�

�Eh?�

So Eun stopped before entering the entrance door and looked up at the high building suites she went to. She frowned and puckered her brows. �Personal assistant? I can�t believe this!�

Then she went inside, headed to the elevator and pressed the button for the last floor. When the elevator reached the top floor, she went out and looked for unit 814. Still wearing her frowning face, she pressed the door bell three times.

And when the door opened, she saw Geun Suk and gave him a mad face. Geun Suk closed the door right after So Eun went inside his pad. So Eun faced him. 

�Yah! What am I to you? A joke? I want to be a singer or even just a model and I was so happy when you made me your partner. But, now I�m going to be your PA?! Do you think that�s funny?!�

Geun Suk sighed. �Listen. You don�t even know how to dance normally and you can�t actually sing; do you really believe you�ll be a famous artist with your so-called talent? I can�t even call it a talent.�

�What did you say?�

�There�s no need for you to complain anymore. Since you�ve signed a contract, you�ll be working for me from now on. Sit down; I�m going to tell you some important things.� So Eun is still frowning when she sat down. Geun Suk sat opposite her. �Don�t worry, I�m not going to make me you a slave. I just don�t want Geun Woo to be always around me and complain about every little act I do.�

�But he�s your manager; that�s a usual thing.�

�I know but I hate it. I don�t want to be controlled.�

�Wait, will it also mean that I should be always with you? Like, a shadow?�

�Of course, you�re my assistant.� Then Geun Suk offered his hand to her. �I�m not really a friendly person but I�m not as rude as you think I am. And since from now we�ll be working together, I want us to be officially friends. We�re partners now, right?�

So Eun took a deep sigh and looked at Geun Suk. And then she shook hands with him. �Alright.�

�And before any thing else, I want you to promise me one thing.�

�What?�

�You have to help me with everything I would ask for. Okay?�

�That�s doesn�t sound really nice.�

�Promise me now.�

So Eun sighed again. �What kind of career is this?!� She asked herself. And then she finally answered Geun Suk. �Promise.�

Il Woo really felt regretful of hanging out with Chae Won that whole day. After eating a bunch of different foods which upset his stomach, Chae Won had another set of crazy trips that really made Il Woo feel so exhausted and dizzy.

First, they rented two bikes and Chae Won forced him for them to participate in a 10 kilometer bicycle race. They ended up losing the game so Chae Won got very angry and hit him many times. And then they went to the amusement park and rode the most thrilling rides and Chae Won challenged him not to shout no matter how scared they�ll be. And Il Woo just fainted after experiencing the ride he�d never ever wished to ride in his whole lifetime.

After that, they did more fun but crazy things that seemed to made Chae Won enjoy. And Il Woo saw her smile and laugh for the very first time and he admits, it was really a nice scene.

It�s already dark and they decided to stay near the Han River; they�re sitting on Chae Won�s car and they�re eating variety of snacks again partnered with soju.

�God�I felt like all my energy were lost.� Il Woo said. �You�re sure very bored that you wanted to do all those crazy stuff.� He said to Chae Won who is busy drinking. �And now you�re drinking again. Is that really your way to live your life?�

Chae Won stopped drinking. She wiped with her hand and put down the soju bottle. She turned to Il Woo. �It�s none of your business.�

Il Woo coldly laughed. �Look at you. That poor girl looks even better than you.� He pointed at a girl selling some grilled corns. Chae Won looked at her for a while then turned over to Il Woo again.

�How dare you compare her to me! Do you want me to throw you in the river?! What a rascal!� And she started drinking again. Il Woo shook his head and looked away. For a few moments, silence came in between. Then Il Woo heard Chae Won sighed.

�I�m a lonely girl.� Chae Won suddenly said. Il Woo looked at her and he saw her serious, sad face. �And I actually didn�t realize that until this day. I�m all alone; all I have is just me.� Then she laughed while tears fell from her eyes. �What a stupid world.� Then she began to open another bottle of soju again when Il Woo suddenly grabbed it from her and threw the bottle away. �Yah!� Chae Won yelled at him.

�You�re such a stupid girl.� Il Woo said. Chae Won looked at him.

�What did you say?�

�How can you be all alone when I was with you the whole day?! I should be the one complaining now cause I suffered so much because of you! I should be the one who�s angry with the world! It�s not easy to be with you, you know?� Chae Won kept on staring at him and Il Woo realized that what he said were a bit harsh and cruel. He sighed. �Don�t take that very seriously; I�m just trying to live up the atmosphere here.�

�Yah.�

�What?�

�I�m accepting your application.�

�What?�

�I�m now hiring you�to be my friend.�
