So Eun rushed inside Il Woo�s bedroom. She saw him hugging a big pillow and still snoring. She went on his bed and jumped on it many times. �Oppa! C�mon wake up! Wake up!�

When Il Woo opened his eyes, So Eun stopped jumping and she sat beside him. �Yah, Kim So Eun!�

�Oppa! You better get up now, I�m telling you! I have a good news for you!�

�Good news? What is it?�

So Eun smiled and whispered to him. �You just won the raffle�s first prize.�

�Whaaat???!!!� Il Woo quickly stood up and faced So Eun. �Is that true?!�

�Yes! But you better claim your prize now �cause they�re be closing the claming time�� So Eun looked at her watch. ��thirty-minutes from now.�

�What?! Yah, why didn�t you tell that just now? I better go now!�

Hye Ja is busy cooking some porridge when Il Woo and So Eun came out of Il Woo�s room and they look like they�re in a hurry. �You two, what�s wrong?�

�Halmoni, I�ll be back! I just got to get something!� Il Woo told her.

�Goodbye, Halmoni!� And the two left the eatery together.

�What�s with those two?�

Il Woo started the engine of his old scooter and is about to leave when So Eun suddenly recalled something. �Oh, oppa! I remember, I can�t go with you right now.�

�What? Why?�

�I have my rehearsal.�

�Rehearsal? For what?�

�For my audition! I�m late! See you later!� And So Eun quickly left and vanished in just a couple of seconds. Il Woo left alone.

Luckily, he was able to reach the agency before the claiming time closes. He just won a roundtrip ticket to Barcelona with some pocket money. But instead of accepting it as it is, he chose to convert it to cash.


Hye Ja looked at Il Woo when he handed her the check he got from converting his Barcelona trip to money.

�Aigoo, what is this? You joined that raffle because you wanted to go to Barcelona, didn�t you?� the old woman asked.

Il Woo smiled. �Halmoni, can I just leave you alone in here? I will be able to go there one day but we need money right now. Those goons won�t be disturbing us again �cause we�ll be paying them at last. Now that we can finally settle our debt, all we have to do next is to work hard for our eatery to expand, right?�

Hye Ja was touched by her grandson�s thoughtfulness. �Oh my, I can�t thank God enough for giving me a good boy like you. You�re not even a kilometer close with your father.�

Il Woo laughed. �I know. I am even way way better-looking than him.�

�Yes, that�s true!� And they laughed again. 

Il Woo�s parents died from a car accident ten years ago and since then, he�s been living with his kind grandma, Hye Ja. They run the most popular eatery in their populated but happy village. Everyone there knows the two of them not just because of having the best porridge and kimchi but also for being such nice persons. Il Woo and Hye Jas has been keeping that kind of image since they moved to that place.

Il Woo�s on his bed and he just finished his drawing. He�s been designing his dream restaurant and he will do his best to make that dream come true. He stared at his drawing for a long time.

�Doesn�t it look kinda ambitious? No, of course it�s not. And even it�s ambitious, I will definitely build it.� And he smiled.

�Il Woo-ah.� he turned to the door when Hye Ja opened it.

�Halmoni.� He stood up and walked to her. �Why aren�t you still asleep?�

�I remembered just now that I�ll be needing some herbs tomorrow morning, is it okay if you�ll run me an errand?�

�Oh, okay! What should I buy?�


Il Woo didn�t use his scooter and just walked his way to the 24-hour supermarket to buy the food herbs his grandma will be use for their menu tomorrow. The supermarket was a bit far from their house and he needed to go out of the village. He bought an ice pop so he will have something to eat when he walks back home.


He decided to take the narrow passage since it�s a short cut. He suddenly stopped walking when he saw a girl who seems like she�s about to jump off the small, low bridge along that corridor. He continued walking and stopped again when he got closer with the girl.

�Hey, miss.�

The girl turned to him and Il Woo saw how pretty she is. Her clothes seemed to be expensive and he can smell the combination of a sweet cologne and soju�s odor. She doesn�t look like she�s so drunk but she looks problematic. Il Woo smiled but the girl just looked away and stepped up on the bridge�s wooden fence. 

�Yah, miss. Are you planning to jump?�

�The hell you care.�

�Well, if you�re planning to kill yourself, I don�t think you�ll die that way.� 

The girl turned to him again. �What?�

�This bridge is just two meters high from the canal below. You won�t get hurt; you�ll just be thrown up open smelly canal instead.�

�And you think I don�t know that?� Il Woo looked at her. �I�m not going to have a suicide here. I�m just practicing.�

�Practicing?�

The girl frowned and sighed. �Ah, this is stupid!�

�Yes, it�s stupid. Killing yourself is really a foolish thing.�

�Yah! Did I ask for your opinion? Aisshh!� the girl stepped down and is about to walk away when she stopped. A pairs of lovers are walking by and she suddenly blocked their way. Il Woo just watched her.

�You!� She yelled at the guy. �How dare you to act sweet with her when you�re just cheating her! What a thick-faced!�

�Hey, who are you?�

�Yah! How dare you yell at my honey!� The girlfriend told her.

�Honey?� And she laughed. �Yah, I just saw your honey earlier kissing a waitress in a coffee shop. What can you say?�

�What?�

�Hey! What are you talking about?�

�Why don�t you tell your girlfriend how long you kissed that ugly waitress?� The girlfriend slapped her boyfriend�s face and walked way. The boyfriend ran and followed her. Chae Won frowned. �What a stupid girl.�

�Yah!� Chae Won turned to Il Woo. �Why did you do that?�

�What?�

�You just ruined their night. And perhaps, those two might have a big fight by now.�
