I opened my eyes and remembered I witnessed a dream for the first time in a year

I let Yuri stay at my guest room since obviously she doesn't have a home, but she told me she'd attend Jeju University with me and find a dorm to stay in

"You can always come back if you want to, or if you think you need to stay a night or more." I nudged

"No, it's fine. We should send in our applications." She replied, we did our university applications last night, we both figured it was a good way to start off my mission. She doesn't really care about hers

I just remembered, Jessica

She attends Jeju University

"Shouldn't I change how I look?", Yuri turned around "What was that?"  She sarcastically asked

"N-Nothing." While a million thoughts were going by every second in my head, "I just feel like it's safer to change my apperance." I brought up

Theres no way I can change my face, but my hair I can definitely change, "Theres a salon and a thrift shop I saw yesterday just down the block. Do you wanna stop by there?" Yuri looked out the window and stretched

"Why not, but why a thrift shop?" I asked, we could just go to a local mall, "I don't know it's just closer." She shrugged

I just about got my hair style changed at a salon, they cut my bangs and curled them a bit and got a perm applied to my hair to make it a bit wavy

"Bravo Kim!" Yuri clapped, I stood up and bowed at the hairstylist. "Now, clothes!"

We left the salon as the bell rung on the door and up next was clothes

I have a lot of clothes back home but it's just uniform and work-related things and a few expensive dresses. I never really had the time to go out

The thrift shop was right next to the salon, we opened the door and it wasn't much, it was pretty small too

"Annyeong!" The worker bowed as we came in, "Annyeong ahjussi!" We both bowed

We looked at the whole place and saw some raggy and old clothes, a leather jacket caught my attention

"Do you want it? I can give you a discount. We don't usually get customers" The man offered, I smiled and nodded

Yuri just waited while I got the leather jacket, it's pretty cheap and it looked like the only reasonable thing I could buy

I put it on and me and Yuri left as we thanked him

"That place felt strange." Yuri whispered when we got outside, "Really? I didn't feel anything."

She sighed and we continued to walk to the bus stop, we waited for the bus so we could get to Jeju, and it's a direct stop at Jeju University which is a good thing

The bus came and we paid for the fee and there wasn't a lot of people, we sat down and waited for our destination

"So, tell me about the girl!" Yuri turned around to face me, "What? Why?" I asked

"Is it wrong?" She stated

"No but, well... You know that lake near the Resting Cloud?" I asked, I was about to tell her about the reflection and how it matches exactly with Tiffany

"You mean Cupid's essence?"

"Wait what's Cupid's essence?" I got more curious, "That's it's name, but theres a myth behind it."

Another myth?

"I don't think it's true but Seohyun told me that there was an angel named Erika millions of years ago who saw a reflection of a girl, Miyoung. They say if you ever see of a reflection of someone in Cupid's essence, you'll see your true love"

"T-Then what happened?"

"I, don't know. But you're probably right it's just a myth."

I thought hard and sighed, that's not possible. "Yeah." I laughed it off

"Annyeonghaseo!" We bowed to one of the staff at the university

"Are you here for applications?"

"Ah, dae, we actually did ours already so you could just take them." We handed our applications

"Good! We'll let you know in a day or two, would you like to look around the campus yourselves?"

We nodded and so we left

It's not so bad, the univeristy is pretty big itself and you could see the dorms on the other side of the area, Yuri seems to enjoy it

I heard a voice from afar and quickly recognized it, "Let's go ask them to help us!" Yuri exclaimed, she pointed at Jessica, and there I saw Tiffany conversing as well, I didn't wanna go anywhere near Jessica

"But-"

She grabbed my arm and dragged me to them, I looked down the moment we were all gathered

"Hai!" Yuri greeted them, "Oh, hi, do you need anything?" Jessica replied

"So me and my best friend Taeyeon here are new, mind helping?" Yuri joyfully requested

Jessica paused for a second, "T-Taeyeon?" I could feel her eyes focused on my head which I slowly lifted up

I could feel the wind blowing on me like hatred

"Taeyeon you know her?"

Her eyes widening and I could sense the tears floating on her eyes, her hand was about to reach for my face but I took it and pushed her hand away, "My bad, I think you may have mistaken me with someone."

"O-Of course, how silly!" She tried to laugh it out but it only made the situation more awkward

That was close

I looked to my right and saw a face I can happily recall, "Tiffany?"

She looked up from her phone and her eyes welcomed me with crescents

I felt a continuous set of heart beats which went by unnoticed

"Taeyeon it is right? You came!" She cheered, Yuri looked over to me with confusion

"Yeah, I sure did."

"Do you want me to show you around?" She offered her arm

I hesitated for a second and then linked my arm with hers and secretly smiled head low

"Yah you kid! You're just gonna leave me here?" I heard a yelling Kwon in the back and chuckled, hopefully Jessica will show her around

Tiffany giggled and I could only listen

"Did you turn in your application?" She sipped her coffee, I sipped my hot chocolate and nodded

We went to a cafe right across the campus

"Are you renting a dorm?"

"Well that I don't know." I have my own house what am I talking about?

"You could share the rent with me, some company could be fun."

I looked up and scratched my head

"I guess, I don't really have much of a choice."

I smiled lightly and we exchanged numbers

This is good. I can easily watch over her. No other reason

At the end of the afternoon we bid farewell and promised to talk over the phone later, I met back with Yuri and we went to a Soju bar

It was pretty empty, only ten other people which was small

"So did you get to know her?" I asked,

Yuri drank from her cup

"Mhm."

"What about you? That girl, Tiffany."

I shrugged, I don't know much about her 

"You two get along surpisingly well."

I started getting dizzy

"Taeyeon? Earth to Kim?"

I could see a hand waving at my face and suddenly everything was turned into blobs of bluriness

"Miyoung ah!" 

"Erika! Where have you been?!"

"I almost got caught..."

"Again?.."

Silence

"Don't..." 

"Don't what?"

"Don't look for me."

"Go back home."

"Are you serious? Do you know what you're saying right now?"

We're about to get killed, Miyoung... You... You have a whole life and you can't spare it for me. Look around you please, just listen-"

"Shut the hell up! Stop talking, stop!"

"I didn't leave everything behind just for this, I didn't just come all the way here to go back and leave! You think that me losing you will make everything better, you keep saying that!"

"I-"

"Let me talk! I am not gonna keep running, and neither will you. I hate it, hiding what we have, I might as well die too.."

"Miyoung I really can't..."
