"Hey! You good?" The mysterious girl waved at me

"Uh.. Oh um I think?" I answered stuttering, where have I seen her before?

"This is so stupid. Are you lost or something?" She offered her hand for me to get up and I gladly stood up

"W-Well.."

She sighed and closed her eyes in distress

That's why it looks so familiar, she's the reflection I saw at the lake back at the Resting Cloud

"Do you have a name?" I stupidly asked, what kind of person asks if they have a name

She laughed, "You're funny."

"It's Tiffany, Tiffany Hwang." She put her phone back in the pocket of her jeans

No way

"I'm assuming you have a name as well?" She giggled

"Taeyeon, sorry." I tried to curve my lips into a smile. I'm assigned to a mission with her? 

"Do you to Jeju University? You look really young."

"Ah.. I'm.. No?"

Her eyes curved into crescents that glistened

"It's open for student applications and I'm supposed to be handing out papers for those who would like to apply. Are you a highschool student?" She took a bunch of papers out of her bag that said 'Jeju University: Open for student auditions and applications for the month of June'

"..It's complicated." I slowly slipped the paper from her hand

"Oh.. It was nice bumping into you then!" She threw her hand out for a handshake and I looked at her hand

I lightly smiled and took her hand, but for a second I felt a glow

It was like time stopped at that moment, and something so slow went by so fast and her hand was already slipped out of mine as she left

"Tiffany.." I stood there with my hand still out and starting to come down

"You!" I heard a yelp that disturbed my thinking

"Stop roaming off! Your hot chocolate is already cold, see? Next time we go somewhere you're paying."

I apologized and as always, it was Yuri

We started to walk around the block and there weren't much people, it seemed pretty hollow

"So, you never really told me much about yourself. Care to share?" She asked, I nodded because I don't have much of a personal life

"Hmm, my parents I don't know as of now. My brother died at a young age and my little sister died too because of asma." I sipped my hot chocolate

Yuri looked at me with a pitiful expression, "I.. Wow I never knew that, I'm sorry that...Happened." She implied, I let my head down low

I wish I could tell her about the whole Jessica thing, but I can't, and what's even harder is if she see's me

"If you wanna go back home you can, do you wanna take a break?" She stopped walking, "No, it's okay. It's the past anyways." I added

The sip of the hot chocolate made me feel so human, it made me want to be human again, to do all kinds of things

"You know, it's not fair if you share something like that if I don't say anything either." Yuri smiled, "I was thrown out of my home."

"I lived on the streets, I worked hard labor and people in gangs would just see me and beat the crap out of me.." She spoke and I saw a single tear come out of her eye

"My brother found me and I was constantly bleeding and after that, I was just, gone."

Silence filled ourselves

"Like you said, the past is the past." She stretched her arms. "You didn't have to say that, I'm so s-"

"Don't, it's fine anyways, I'm happy where I am now and I'm grateful I'm not doing this mission alone." She chuckled and I smirked

While we were walking the application paper flew out of my pocket

"No!" I went back to retrieve it and Yuri got it for me, "Jeju University?" She looked at the paper

I scratched my head, "..Mhm."

"Oh. Seohyun went there." She gave the paper back to me and I folded it inside my pocket, "She did?" I asked

"I guess, she doesn't really talk about what happened during the time she was a human." She shrugged

"Anyways, who gave you the paper? Is it important?" We sat down by a bench

"I.. You can say that. Also it has something to do with the mission." I answered, "I, I found the girl that my mission is on." I continued

"Really? Ohh, you're gonna use Jeju University as a way to stay in contact with her, right?"

I thought deep, why does this mission feel so wrong... What if she doesn't love who she ends up with? "This feels like a sin."

"Mission is a mission."

"Wanna know something?" Yuri leaned closer, I shrugged. "Theres a rumor that theres a fallen angel who can see the red strings of fate."

The red strings of fate, I always thought those were a myth

The red strings of fate is a strong invisible string that attaches one soulmate to another, my mother read me a story about it when I was younger, "But why a fallen angel?" I asked, "I heard that she saw her own strings with someone from the Demon Realm and so they fell in love. Eventually, angels and demons from both realms found about it and so they killed the demon while the angel became a fallen angel. It's tragic. Their love was unacceptable, people say the demon's soul is living upon the Crimson Lake while the fallen angel wanders somewhere on Earth."

I could feel so shattered after hearing that, yes demons are the most hated beings among angels but just because of that, one had to die, "That's horrible!" I shouted

Yuri shushed me but there wasn't really anyone around

"Yoona told me about it as a 'lesson' to not sin. She used to be friends with the fallen angel until the girl became forbidden from the angel realm." She looked at the sky

"She was called Sooyoung."
