Chapter 6

Hyunmi's POV.

When the school bell ringed, I was debating if I should go to the bus or not since I got a message from Jisung.

Jisung: Sorry that I can't pick you up. Jeongin wanted me to go on his 'double date' with his girlfriend and her friend :(

"I really have no choice, so I guess I have to go to the bus again," I thought getting nervous as I finish packing my stuff. Jihee already left me since she had dance practice, so it was just me walking out of the school alone. I was walking to the bus stop and I saw that their was people waiting for the bus stop. They were in line, so I was also waiting in line behind them. I suddenly heard my phone ring and I answered it without thinking who it was, "hello?"

"Hey, sis. Are you ok?" I sighed when I knew who it was, then reply with a monotone voice, "Yoonho oppa, I'm fine. Just don't worry about me."

"I will always worry about you," Yoonho oppa reply with a worried voice, "about last night, you didn't even come home until like midnight when Jisung took you in. I was wondering if you came in and heard about what happened last night that, that is why you weren't home until midnight..."

"I'm fine, oppa. I got to go now. I'll meet you at home," I reply not wanting to talk to him anymore. Yoonho oppa reply with a worried voice, "Hyunmi-"

I hung up as the bus arrived to the bus stop. Once the bus opened the door, everyone got inside the bus. When I got in, all of the spots were taken except for Hyunjin's spot since he was sitting there by himself with an empty spot next to him. When I put my bus card against the scanner, I made eye contact with Hyunjin and he smiled when he saw me. He waved for me to come sit next to him, but I didn't want to sit next to him, but I don't want to be rude either. I put my bus card back in my backpack and then I walked towards him. He moved to the empty seat while I looked at the seat he sat on. He mentioned me to sit on his spot and I sat on his spot feeling shy. He took his headphones off and put them in his backpack. Then, he looked at me with a smile and reply, "you finally showed up for the afternoon bus."

"Were you expecting me?" I asked blushing as I looked at him. Hyunjin nodded smiling as he was looking at me. I reply feeling bad as I smiled, "s-sorry, Jisung has been taking me home."

"Really? Jisung has been telling me that your brother takes you home," Hyunjin reply with a confused face. My eyes went wide when he said that and thought to myself as I closed my mouth, "shoot, I should have just kept my mouth shut."

"So, he took you home now?" Hyunjin asked looking at me with a curious face. I nodded slowly and he asked again with a curious face, "was he worried about something that will happen if you are with me?"

"I..." I reply looking at him with a nervous look, but stopped myself as I looked away. He asked with a straight face as he was looking at the ground, "he was probably worried that girls will get mad at you if you hang out with me, right?"

I looked at him and saw that he had a sad face. I reply feeling bad, "I really want to be friends with you, it's just..."

"I know, I am really sorry. I promise I won't bother you anymore," Hyunjin reply with a sad smile and the bus stopped at our stop. For some reason, when he got up and left the bus; I ran after him and stood in front of him when we were on the sidewalk by a coffee shop. I put my arms out, so that I can block him. He looked at me with a questioning look, then asked, "what are you doing?"

"I really want to be friends with you," I reply with a serious face as I was looking at him, "I don't like to see you upset and I am really serious about us being friends."

I put my hand out in front of him and asked confidently with a small smile, "Hyunjin, will you be friends with me?"

He looked at me and then looked at my hand. He slowly smiled, then slowly shook my hand with his and I smiled at him when he did that. He smiled and asked, "so, are we friends now?"

I nodded smiling and he was still holding my hand. I blushed as I pulled my hand away. He cleared his throat and pulled his hand away too. I looked at his face and saw that he looked away, I don't know if he was blushing or not, but I can feel the awkwardness coming in. He asked looking at me with a nervous voice, "d-do you live around here?"

"Y-Ye-Yeah," I reply shyly as I nodded at him and he reply looking at me, "I'll walk you home."

"N-No, it's ok," I reply looking at him with a surprised face while I was waving my hand saying no. He reply with a worried face, "I want to take you home because I don't want anyone to kidnap you."

"No one will kidnap me," I reply with a small smile, "I'll be fine."

"I'm still taking you because a boy should never let a girl walk home by herself," he reply with a smile. I can feel my cheeks burning as my heart was beating fast. I bit my lips and thought feeling nervous, "why does he have to do this to me?!"

He held my hand and we started walking. For some surprisingly odd reason, I didn't pull my hand away and I didn't say anything, but I really should tell him about my skinship with people. I don't usually like it when someone holds my hand or hug me unless it's my boyfriend or someone close to me, but I liked this feeling though. Hyunjin stopped walking and scratched his head shyly while he was facing me, then reply with a sheepishly smile, "can you show me where you live? Haha I don't know why I dragged you when I forgot my manners."

"I-It's ok," I reply blushing with a smile and he pulled his hand away from mine. He bowed at me and reply feeling bad, "I really am sorry about holding your hand. I like skin ships and I figured you don't so, I should
