your sis has an assignment due and i'd be busy so i should be starting on it but i've written this short mini chapter instead :') im on break so i guess it's still alright! i rly miss writing this so take this i guess ?? uhh also i was thinking of opening this for a short time because i realised i want more character variety (?? idk if this makes sense) but idk what do yall think please let me know!! this chapter features busans' won, sulgalgi's woobin and zelodegree's hakjoon! the next chapter will feature the 3 that weren't in this chapter. this is also not proof-read im sorry but im tired :/

"WHY DO PEOPLE PAY SO MUCH MONEY ONLY TO BE IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE WITH SWEATY AND SCREAMING FANS?" SEULBI QUIPPED as they squeezed in to their spot in the second row. "how much was one ticket again?"
"firstly, the question should be who wouldn't pay so much to see seventeen. they're so ing talented i'm going to be blessed." won was going to let seulbi's snarky comments slide. they got in for free anyway since minghao managed to get them a pair of tickets. won knew the procedure was stressful and he wasn't willing to fight with the obsessive fans over a couple of seats.
"can you just appreciate that he-who-much-not-be-named gave us free tickets and move on with your life," won whispers to seulbi, afraid the girl with a joshua hong banner would hear him.
"didn't we give him a code name a while back? he who must not be named is kinda lame."
"look, we both have bad memory let's just stick with this code name for today."
won made sure to bring his seventeen lightstick. again, another free item he got in exchange for being the boyfriend of a kpop idol. it amazes won that these lightsticks are so expensive. all it does is light up and it already cost almost 35000won. he can't imagine how painful it must be for overseas fans who have to pay for shipping fees too.
"you're really minghao's biggest fanboy," seulbi chuckled when she took a look at the lightstick. it was covered in holographic stickers spelling 'the8' and 'minghao'. there was even a tiny sticker of minghao on the handle of the lightstick.
coughing loudly to interrupt her, won shoots daggers at seulbi with his eyes. "nickname, woman!"
just as seulbi was going to respond, her words were interrupted by the loud screams from the fans around him. won looked towards the stage and out of the thirteen boys he saw in front of him, his eyes only focused on one of them.
xu minghao.
it wasn't woobin's first time meeting the other 6 boys. but he always gets some kind of weird vibes from them. some of them. not all. it wasn't that they were bad people and it wasn't that woobin wasn't close to some of them. a part of him was just upset that they spent way more time with his boyfriend than he did.
seokjin had invited him over to (re)watch studio ghibli movies in the dorm and woobin couldn't say no. something stirred in woobin when he walked into the dorm and saw taehyung's head nestled in the crook of his boyfriend's shoulder.
normally woobin would've screamed but today was different.
he decided to give seokjin the cold shoulder.
woobin really wasn't a big fan of taehyung. he was too handsome for his own good. too perfect. there must have been some shady going on and woobin would find it. for now, woobin was assured that taehyung was out to make him jealous.
as woobin entered the apartment, he nodded towards yoongi before proceeding straight to seokjin's room. he wasn't sure if his boyfriend had noticed him entering the dorm but he didn't bother. seokjin was probably too comfortable in that position with taehyung anyway.
so, when woobin heard a knock on the door, he was a little shocked.
"what's wrong now?" seokjin sighed as he slowly pushed the door open.
seokjin and always knowing when there's something wrong. woobin thought to himself.
"nothing!"
"tell me."
"there's nothing to tell."
"are you really going to be like this?"
woobin hated fighting with seokjin. but it always felt weird to see pictures of his boyfriend hugging his group members. he remembers that one article he saw titled 'taehyung and jin kiss?!' and he couldn't get the thought out of his head.
"baby i don't know why you're getting angry," seokjin says in a softer, less demanding voice now. "i just want to know how to many you happy."
the second part comes in a clearer voice and woobin can't help but feel something prick his eyes. jealousy is a and woobin knows her well.
"you and taehyung looked a little too close just now," woobin mumbles, the words fumbling out of his lips. but seokjin catches them and walks up to his boyfriend.
"we've been through this. the guys and i grew up together. everything is platonic." woobin knows he's heard this sentence before. platonic. the word leaves a strange after taste in his mind.
still, woobin decides to forgive seokjin. the corners of his lips rise up into a small smile and seokjin takes this as a sign to engulf woobin in a big bear hug.
from his office, hakjoon noticed a strange figure entering the police station. checking the time on the wall clock, hakjoon noticed it was already 3am. there shouldn't be anyone coming into the police station at this hour. the person was dressed entirely in black. the face mask and cap definitely not helping the person look any less suspicious.
getting up from his seat, hakjoon found a taser nearby and headed downstairs. the only person manning the reception counter was the security uncle who was usually sleeping on the job.
hakjoon had other things to worry about aside from whoever this stranger was and what trouble he or she wanted to cause.
when hakjoon reached the first floor, he looked around for the person. he swore he wasn't seeing things. scanning the room for anything unusual, hakjoon felt his heart jump out of his ribcage when he heard someone say, "i brought you spicy rice cake!"
the voice, he recognised. what he didn't expect was why she was at his office at three in the morning.
"what are you doing here?" the question was laced with worry. he knew she was still preparing for her concert in japan but he didn't expect her to come all the way down. with rice cakes, nonetheless.
"i remember you said you'd be pulling many all nighters this week. and since i wouldn't be able to spend that much time with you, i decided to surprise you!" eunji smiles and hakjoon feels his heart melting once again. she was always this sweet and thoughtful. hakjoon didn't know how someone like him could ever get together with someone like her.
but he also knew that apink's eunji was different from the jung hyerim he knew. the eunji on camera was loud, bold and always ready with something witty and funny to say.
but the hyerim in front of him was considerate, sweet and motherly.
hakjoon thinks this is one thing people will never know about idols. and hakjoon doesn't understand it entirely either. it's like when the cameras are on, a different part of their personality switches on as well.
"earth to hakjoon?" eunji tiptoes and waves her hand in front of his face. "everything alright with you?"
hakjoon nods and pats his (much) shorter girlfriend on the head.
"let's go to the pantry upstairs," hakjoon's hand finds hers and he laces their hands together before bringing her to the pantry near his office.
as the two unbox the snack eunji brought of the two of them, eunji mumbles something that adds another thing to his list of worries.
"i think someone's following me again."
