It's 2024, many countries have moved ahead and embraced technological advancements. This advancement seems to have come in promoting cutlural heritage too and it so happens, that I work in my country's cultural affairs department (in its embassy) with South Korea on a similar project. It has hardly been 8 months having shifted here.

Lost in my thoughts of the time having moved so forward, the warm pleasant spring sun dances in through the tall windows, with the tree canopyoutside casting shadows on the Embassy's floor in Hannam-Dong, made me go back to the past few years. It was time for getting off work and standing in the corridor I was waiting for one final call from my immediate superior confirming the schedule of our ambassador for the coming week. I moved down to the lobby of the building. It was getting late but I could not pick up the call elsewhere. Thinking about it, it would be good that the ammbasador was coming over the weekend, close to their family, I thought back to the times when I was completely lost and back again in my home country with nothing to do and no family to rely on. Sir was of the greatest help, having worked together a couple of times and like a father figure to me, he and his wife took care of me when I was at my lowest and treated me like their own child as they sadly did not have one of their own.  Suddenly free to work anywhere, free of worldly connections and to call any place home, I was lost in my own country but helped by them
