Taehyung is seventeen, and he's a sweetheart. When he speaks his accent makes the gentle, overly mannered phrases he uses to express his thoughts feel slightly rougher. He has a smile as wide as his heart, and the genuine affection he feels indiscriminately reflects in his eyes each time that smile of his appears on his face.

One day, before getting out of the car Seokjin drives him, Jimin and Jungkook to school with, he leans over from the passenger seat just to hug him. - Hyung, you're cool, you know? -, he exclaims; and then he disappears, strolling behind Jimin as usual.

Seokjin spends half an hour stuck in the high school parking, thinking about how he never felt home as much as he does in that moment.

It's not only Taehyung that makes him feel like he belongs there – he's just the one stating it out loud, to whoever deserves it; even the others have the amazing ability to make him feel like one of them, even if he's the newcomer.

Yoongi's the older, after him; he comes off as abrasive, but he speaks in a soft, quiet tone, and for the most part he's on his own writing music. Seokjin is perfectly aware of his own limits – some days he hates his body, perceiving it as a thight envelope forbidding him from getting the results he wants to obtain – but when Hoseok encourages him, explaining how to soothe the pain or how to execute a step without feeling all of his muscles breaking into tiny little pieces, then he feels like his efforts do actually pay back. He even stops feeling envious for Jimin and Jungkook's abilities, the both of them being notably younger and notably better than him – both singing and dancing-wise. He should at least feel stings of jealousy, along with the one he feels on his back and calves, but every ounce of pettiness is dried out of him the moment he places his sight on either one of them: they both work to the limit of sanity, and they're both still children. No, he can't hate them – there's no place for that kind of feeling in his heart, not in front of their childish smiles.

He finds out the manager was right: the house may be too small for seven boys, but it's a perfect fit for a family of seven.

Then there's Namjoon. Namjoon, always turning around to make sure he's on par with the others – waiting for him, if necessary; jumping from one another like a bee in a field, equally distributing his atte
