When the new year came Sanha was at the street lamp, even though it was no longer snowing. 

"Sanha..."

"Why are you here?"

Sanha paused before turning to me, for the first time he moved from his spot.

He wrapped his arms around me in a hug. I had been taken aback by his actions just like when I had first seen his eyes up close.

"I... Won't be here for much longer..."
