[ 01: HEROES ]

CA-23: ARCHIVES
[11.03.2015]
The sun rose up and shone several ray beams to the glass windows above, brightening the room of a particular accomodation in Johak. But the cream wallpapers seemed to do naught on the lack of voice, except for the bated breaths of six people. A few suitcases were scattered at one particular spot near the door, but everyone else sat at the dining room or sofas at the living room.

"Who are the last ones?" Wooyoung asked, not liking the uncomfortable silence in the room.

"Jookyung and Hyerin," Hyosung answered, flipping through papers. "they both lived the farthest from building 33."

"Well, it shouldn't take this long either." Sejoon said, glancing on his wristwatch.

"Well, at the same time, we are coming earlier than the expected schedule. Besides, we still have ten minutes before we started. Now, how did all of you arrived?" Hyosung rolled her sleeves, eyes uncomfortably glancing at Sejoon. She knew well that, had the topic continued, the argument could hinder whatever works for the team.

"Well, it was me and Hani first," Wooyoung started. "then, the kid, Jisung came with Yuri," Yuri and Jisung glanced up from the couch they were sitting. "Sejoon came last. So there's that."

"I thought Jisung came a few minutes before Yuri?" Hani piped in.

"No, well—we saw them coming together, so that technically counts as 'together'." Wooyoung raised his eyebrows, his voice still steady, but both Hyosung and Sejoon could notice his cheeks hinted tints of pink.

"Well, I guess so." Hani shrugged. "But not a pretty accurate report from you, Cap." she said, almost teasingly at him.

"What are you, Sharon Carter?" Sejoon blurted, eyes still not leaving his phone. Hani looked up from him, a light surprise, but scoffed.

"Uh, no, I definitely don't romance a guy old enough to be my grandpa."

"So what kind of guy, then?"

"Anyone but you." Hani blurted, in hopes that it would stung him.

Before Sejoon could muster a reply, running steps were heard, and he couldn't help but smirk when he saw the two faces. "Well, finally, the Cinderellas have come to the party!"
"And who is he?" Hyerin heard of a clear, sharp voice as they opened the door. Her suitcase rolled against the wooden floor.

"Nam Sejoon. Twenty-one years old, profiler, ladies' man, has a degree in Dissing Studies." Jookyung whispered. "Also probably your interrogating tutor in this case."

"Well, that seems highly discouraging," she pouted. "he's an En?"

"Not important if he's not going to kill you." He glanced at her. "Oi, sorry, the carriage broke down and someone lost her baggage. We're not late, aren't we?"

"No, both of you are on time," Hyosung coughed, trying to hold her smile while Hani scoffed at Sejoon. Again. When they had placed their suitcases, Hyosung clasped her hands, and said, "Well, shall we start?"

"Ain't the confirmation date tomorrow?" Hani said.

"Jisung, Yuri, please come here and take the available seats," Hyosung said. "you can say this is the inofficial one, Hani. We're already allowed to settle here for the day, so try adjusting yourselves. But first, the introduction. My name is Song Hyosung, or Nike. I'm 24, and the crime photographer."

"Lee Wooyoung, Leo. 25. Sniper." Wooyoung swore he could hear Sejoon mouthing off 'Hani's partner', although it was barely noticeable, and he couldn't help but held an annoyed grimace at it.

"Kang Hani, Hecate. I'm 21 now and is a mapper." Hani could honestly ignore Sejoon's cackling when she saw another piercing stare. Hyerin was looking at her with a sharp, almost undetectable look. After looking for a while, it ends with a disgusted look in her face, and Hani doesn't like it one bit.

"I'm Nam Sejoon, Lupin. 23 years old profiler and—"

"Arsené Lupin?" Jisung, for the first time, finally spoke. Being next to Yuri was fascinating... at least. Yuri still shuffled awkwardly when he had suddenly talked to him, however.

"Why, yes, but they preferred to call me Jester than Lupin, although Lupin is cooler." Sejoon smiled, shrugging. "Please, continue."

"Sun Jookyung, Kairos. I'm now 24 and a courier." He glanced at Hyerin, who continued to bore holes to literally everyone, but mostly, the Ens.

"Kang Yuri here. I'm 21 and is a hacker." Yuri glanced uneasily at Jisung, although the latter kept up his cheer.

"Lee Jisung, or Archer. I'm 18 years old and... well, an almost graduate." he rubbed his neck, grinning at the other seven.

"Do Hyerin, or Nigma. I'm 18." Hyerin shrugged.

"Well, that covers the most. You can relax for a while, but meet up at 16:00, where Hyerin and Sejoon would be interviewing eyewitness Kim Jiho and Bae Yoobin, while Jookyung and I would be investigating the crime scene at the beach. Hani, Wooyoung, we had a new report coming from Busan about schoolgirls having something of a... strange 'bite' mark. Yuri, please keep track on the two."

"Wait, what about me?" Jisung asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

Hyosung gave Jookyung a look, before he sighed, and said to the boy. "No. Stay with Yuri."

"Wait, why?"

"It's too dangerous." Hyosung replied, trying to remove Jisung's pleading look.

"But Hani-noona hasn't even went to the field either!"

"And I think Wooyoung isn't someone unreliable either. He can do it." Sejoon piped in. Hyosung tapped the table repeatedly with her finger, and everyone knew well why. Hyerin's job is far from dangerous (in case the two girls did ended up pointing knives at them, but it was unlikely) but Jisung was new. They didn't want to kill or harm an agent.

Ignoring the rest's obvious surprise, he also continued. "He didn't have to be harmed along the way, alright? It's an all-girls school. He can just act as a cover-up or anything similarly to that. Hyosung, he's 18, not eight."

Hyosung looked at all of them, and to Wooyoung. He coughed, "Do your best, Jisung."

A long pause came around, and Jookyung finally grabbed his overcoat to the men's dorm. Yuri also left, followed by Hani and Hyosung. Wooyoung and Jisung left together. Now, only Hyerin and Sejoon stayed. Sejoon's playful face finally dropped serious, almost cold.

"I know he has a past, but that shouldn't really let him act off the hook. I also know Hyosung is protective of Jisung, but gave him this chance. I may not like Wooyoung—or Hani—that much, but I can rely on the former."

"Well, sometimes, you wouldn't want the closest to you die or being injured either, so they had a point. Also, Hani worked with Wooyoung before." Hyerin got up and left. Sejoon noticed a change in her face—a dysphoria, but one he couldn't pinpoint out why. "But you're correct, so there's no real wrong here. See ya."
notes : as fas as things go... I hope I grasp all of your characters properly. Also, not too focused too much on certain characters, hopefully?
