It's Company PolicyBoring.
Lunch was boring.
Sehun was so glad when it was finally over. He practically shoved his food down his throat and left the studio, claiming he had something to do. The usual slightly tangy taste in Sehun’s favourite noodles gave him was overpowered by a disgustingly bitter taste that came from his throat. He didn’t understand why. But he felt disappointed. Penny had asked him to eat with her first, then Kyungsoo came about, then the rest of the herd. He was so disappointed, it manifested into anger.
A few nights, and awkward dance practices, later, he let all of it out with the help of some red wine.
“I thought it was just going to be me when she asked,” Sehun pointed accusingly at the other eight men, his finger pushed too much to the right by the alcohol. “Then Kyungsoo was invited, then Yixing, then the whole bunch of you.”
“Sehun, you wanted to be alone with her?” Baekhyun nudged Chanyeol as he spoke, reminding him that Sehun’s next words would determine the fate of Chanyeol’s 10,000 won note.
“Yes.”
“So that’s why you were mad?”
“Yes.”
Chanyeol slapped the 10,000 won note onto Baekhyun’s plan, making sure that the impact would sting. From the corner of the table, Junmyeon’s eyebrow raised and he looked over at Minseok. The eldest thought for a while.
“Sehun,” Minseok said, swirling his glass making it seem as if he wasn’t too bothered by this.
“Hyung?”
“You’re interested in the manager?”
“She’s interested in you. The whole dinner she barely said anything to me. She likes you hyung. Why does she like older men? I’m pretty old too, I’m like two decades old. How old are you hyung? Aren’t w-“
“Sehun,” Minseok held back a cough. Don’t think that way, Sehun’s tipsy. He meant it like she likes me as a colleague, or something like that. “I asked you if you liked her.”
“I only want her to look at me.”
“She’s a colleague.” Kyungsoo says.
“I know,” Sehun grumbled.
