Author’s POV

Mina starts packing and moving her things to the new apartment. It was big, it has 3 rooms 2 bathroom an exclusive kitchen and a balcony with a great view of Seoul. “Does the company provide these quarters to all the employees?” Mina had to ask as she was wonderstruck looking inside and outside the apartment. “No” Chaeng simply reply. Mina looks at him with full confusion written on her face, “Why do I get all this benefits, Chaeyoung-ssi?” Chaeng looks at mina blankly and say “ Since you will be working as my assistant I insist on providing you this apartment is actually mine that I rarely use. I come here to have a quiet and alone time or run from my parents at home.” Mina just nodded and then something came to her realisation “what?! Wait- you are the programme manager?” Chaeng chuckled and nodded. “You can live here freely, my parent doesn’t know about this place. There’s only one rule, NEVER enter the small room without my permission. Anything else you can do as you pleased here, invite friends over, throw a party I don’t mind just don’t burn the place down. Oh! And I will stay here when I need to but don’t worry I won’t disturb you.” Mina wants to reject the offer but after a few minutes of debating with herself she accepted it because she doesn’t have money to survive and this offer would really help her. Mina was still looking around she realise that there are a few amazing paintings hanging in the living room, she look closely and notice all of them have the same signature. “where did you buy all this paintings? They are really beautiful.” Mina had to ask. Chaeng comes closer to her “ glad you like it, I didn’t buy it though. I made them, it’s some sort of hobby I develop. This apartment is actually my studio.” Mina was really impressed by Chaeyoung, ‘he wasn’t like he was when we first meet, why is this side of him is more attractive? Wait- what are you thinking mina! he is rude and cold, you can’t like him’. “Well.. all you furniture are here, so.. I will be going now” Chaeng excuses himself. “ Thank you for everything Chaeyoung-ssi” Mina was grateful for the gestures. Chaeng turned around waved, “ oh! The code for the front door is 0423, and you can call me Chaeng since we’re not at work.” He smiled at Mina showing her his dimples. After Chaeng leaves mina closed the door and hold her left chest, she could feel her heart beating too fast.

It’s already been days Mina worked for Chaeng, everything was fine except for one little thing. “ Mina, can you send this to the director’s room and can you bring me a Caramel Latte and can you get a copy of this” Chaeng ordered Mina . ‘Chaeng is really annoying, why does he have to be this annoying like seriously! Where did the cold or gentle side of him went?’ Mina thought to herself. Little did she know Chaeng purposely did that to her, he just want to see if she can handle his antics. Fortunately Mina has to work for 5 hours, meaning the she has to deal with Chaeng for 5 hours. Chaeng is actually capable of working without any assistant but he wanted to help Mina, but he also wants to have a little fun. He’s not the type that likes to tease people but Mina is an exception. Chaeng feels butterflies when he sees mina, that’s why he is being nice and annoying to her. He is really a shy kid, he hides his feelings for mina even though it’s just a small crush.

Chaeng’s POV

I am working in my office, since there’s a lot of glass windows I can see Mina doing her work. ‘she’s really pretty’ I thought to myself. I finished my work I just need to finalise it with the director, I sigh as I went to his office. Normally I would ask Mina to do this but it’s important so in need to see him alone. I knocked on the door twice and entered, “ I need you to finalise this document, sir.” I pass him the paper. He signed it, I bowed to him and made my way but I heard him calling me so I stop my tracks. “ I’m really sorry, when will you stop being this cold to me? it was a one-time thing.” He explained. I look at him with a smirk “one time thing? Don’t lie to me; I’ve seen you with other women. In a club, at the office and other places that I don’t want to state. You’re so obvious father; I still wonder why mom wants to stay with a like you. At least she has time to spend with his son instead of sleeping with other people.” I said to him, he come closer to me and give me a punch on the face. I feel down rubbing my left cheek, “ Don’t you ever disrespect me like that! Whoever I am I’m still your father who raised you with wealth.” He said while pointing at me. I went out of his office, pack my stuffs and told Mina to do the same. She was confused but she follow my orders anyways, “ I’m driving today” I said to her. We’re now in my car nobody is talking, no sound except the engines running. “ h-hey are you okay?” Mina breaks the silent environment. “ I’m fine, I’m staying at the apartment for a few days. So that means we will be going to school and to the apartment together.” I
