The wet fog in my heart clears
Only you become more defined. Parties weren't my thing, nor to organize nor to participate. At Hyorin's past insistence, I went to some parties, but couldn't say I had fun too much and I can't even mention that I had something close to the time of my life. I would usually end up putting snacks in bowls or refill drinks while Hyorin chatted surrounded by boys and girls. She tried to integrate me so many times, but I was just not good at having a conversation with people I didn't know before. Some parties were funnier because I would meet some of the boys and I had who to talk to, but they usually came there with dates and our encounter didn't last long. Chen was the one I chatted the most during that times. He was there for some girl from what he mentioned, but I enjoyed talking to him. And when it wasn't Chen, Momo, Sana and Jihyo were always kind to me to let me sit near them and we even talked about school and girl's stuff. They reminded me about how good it is to have girl friends. Given my past experience with parties I didn't want to rash, but take my time and organize a great party for my best friend. Couldn't tell if she really wanted this party or just wanted me to be busy and stop asking questions. She should have known me by now, I wasn't going to give up finding the whole truth and the fact that she was circuitous about it, made me more determined. My thoughts were interrupted by Lay who came by my house to help with organizing the party. Xiumin got a new girl and Lay was now feeling a bit lonely. Thought that inviting him over to help will cheer him up and an extra hand would be very useful. We were still stuck at the theme because even though it was meant for departure, we were trying to not make it that sad. "Hyorin is precious, I want something special for her", I said resting my chin on my arms. Lay took a seat on the kitchen counter and was writing our brilliant ideas on a notepad. "Do you mean precious like a stone", he asked and I could tell by the frowning on his forehead that he was giving birth to a great idea. "Why don't we dress up like precious stones and don't tell her. That's how she'll know that we appreciate her natural look and kind personality." "Seriously, Lay, how can you even dress up like a stone? At least you didn't want to buy her expensive stones because as dear as she is to me, I don't have that much money", I said perplex by his idea. "Look, let's let aside your lapidary side for the moment and try something more simple", I suggested. "You were the one who said you wanted something special", he mumbled scratching in his notepad. I let him brainstorm something else and began noting the guest list. Hyorin mentioned she wanted to invite only her closest friends and I was glad because she knew lots of people and my house could give shelter to all the people she knew. And I was also in a hurry because Baekhyun and Sehun were on the way to a big supermarket to buy the food and it would have been very helpful to know at least approximately how many people are coming. After I texted Baekhyun with the number and what to buy, I began texting people to remember to come. Of course, the boys were all invited and the moment to text Chanyeol inevitably came. To Chanyeol: Hey, we're throwing a goodbye party for Hyorin this Saturday. Wanna come? After fifteen minutes of having no reply, I gave up and continued spreading messages. Tired of thinking to much Lay and I mutually ag
