Finally, it's only a week before auditions!

Jessica and I finished filling out my application.

I let my voice rest for a few days, but continued to practice my dancing.

There was one thing I hadn't told Jessica, actually two things. . .

I was on the phone with Jessica:

"Sica, I need to tell you two things."

'"What is it?"

"I actually planned to sing two songs: 

-IU's Good Day(a difficult song)

"I want to play my guitar with the last song too."

"Hmm, IU's song has an 11 second long note/semitone. Are you sure you can do this?"

"Yes! I want a song that will impress Rain and . . . MBLAQ."

"MBLAQ?"

"Yeah, that's the 2nd reason I'm doing this. So I can work with them."

"Oh, I see. I can understand you. . . just don't let love get in the way of your dreams."

"Ok, but wait, how do you 'understand'?"

"Cho Hee. . . I'm dating someone."

"HOLY DUMPLINGS! WHO?!?!?"

"I don't want to tell you now, maybe later in the future."

"Alright Sica Unni." 

"Thank you. Please don't tell anyone."

"Of course I won't tell anyone. You're my unni, I wouldn't hurt you."

"Alright, well let's get back to the audition. I think it would be great if you play your guitar." 

"Ok then, it settled. Thanks Unni."

"'What did I do?"

"Everything. You helped and guided me to the point where I feel confident that I'll pass that audition!"

"Oh Cho Hee, you've done a lot for me too. Thank you. Now, get some sleep! You don't want dark circles."

"Hehe, like Seungho."

"Hmm?"

"Oh nothing. Good night Unni!"

~The Morning of Audition Day~

'AHHHHHH!!! UNNIIIIIIII!!!!!!!"

"What?!? What?!?"

"i'm so NERVOUS!"

Jessica came to my house early so she could help prepare me for the audition.

My parents and sister were pretty shocked to see SNSD's Jessica at their house.

"Hey! You must stay calm! You don't want to look like this when you're singing."

"I know."

"Hurry up and get dressed!"

I saw the clock and noticed it was 7:00 pm.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face with Jessica's special cleanser, which made my face flawless.

I swept my hand across the dress, feeling every thread  in it.

I felt a range of emotions as I slipped the dress over myself.

Then Jessica did my makeup. 

It was nothing special, just a fresh, clean look.

I ate breakfast without rush and then grabbed my shoes and guitar.

Here is my finished outfit:

My parents took photos of Jessica and me.

They would have come too, but had to go to work today.

"We're so sorry Cho Hee. We really wish we could come and support you. It's just that our stupid bosses won't let us have a day off. Good Luck!" 

When I took my first step out the door, I just knew something wonderful would happen.

Jessica drove me to the audition that was filled with possiblities. 

~At the Audition~

I gripped my guitar case so hard that I thought it would break.

I was number 2917, the last person.

We waited there for many long hours.

After the first 3 hours, we left for a lunch break, taking our time because  they announced that #1500-2000 would be next.

My turn would be at 5:50 p.m., which is 4 hours from now.

~My turn~

"#2917? You're next!"

"Oh dear ake mushrooms." 

The moment I heard my number, my belly flip flopped inside.

"You're Park Cho Hee and you will pass!" encouraged Sica.

"Cho Hee, you can do this. Being nervous is not what you came here for. It was to pass."

"Unni!!" I hugged Sica tightly and she wished me good luck.

The lady with the clipboard led me down a hall into the audition room.

"Good Luck ^   ^" she said.

"Thank You!" What a nice clipboard lady.

I felt the sliver handles of the door, warm from the many people who had placed their hands on them.

"Just Do It!" I told myself and then took a deep breath.

I pushed the doors open and  saw them.

MBLAQ, all of them.

I wanted to change into my fangirl mode, but kept a straight face.

"Hello! I'm Park Cho Hee and I'm 19 years old!"

"Wow, you're very pretty and your application is very impressive. Pretty and smart." said Rain.

"Thank You!"

I could hear MBLAQ murmuring and whispering about me.

"She's so pretty" or "Waiting 10 hours for her is worth it."

I didn't know what the big deal was, to me I wasn't that pretty.

"Alright let's hear you sing."

~Jessica's POV~

"I really hope Cho Hee passes."

I noticed that  I wasn't being mobbed by fans.

"Hmm, weird."

I crossed my fingers and prayed that Cho Hee dongsaeng would pass. 

*dongsaeng=younger sister or younger brother (refers and used to/with both genders)

~Back to My POV~

"I'll be singing two songs today: IU's Good Day and Narsha's I'm in Love."

"Oh, and you brought your guitar." said Rain.

"Can you play the guitar well and can you play other instruments ?" asked Seungho.

"Yes, can play the guitar well and I also play the piano, harp, and volin."

"Wow, impressive."

"Thank you~"

"Will you please show us why you should be chosen?" said Rain.

"Of course."

When the first note of Good Day was sung, I could feel confidence run through me.

Here comes the semitones. . . 

"In my dreams/내 꿈에~~~" (this is the eng translation of what IU sang)

After that note/whatever you want to call it, I felt so accomplished.

I finished off the song neatly and beautifully.

"That. . . that. . . was. . . . . TALENT!" Rain had a huge smile on his face.

"I haven't seen talent like that since MBLAQ."

"She would be the perfect partner to collaborate with." said G.O.

Joon was just staring at me with awe in his eyes.

"Quite impressive." said Seungho.

"Quite impressive? Seungho hyung, you talk like a grandpa." said Mir.

"That was beautiful." commented Thunder.

I blushed and thanked them all.

"So, you were going to sing another song?" asked Rain.

"Yes."

I retrived my guitar carefully from its case, and polished it for good luck.

"I'll be sing Narsha's I'm in Love in acoustic version."

I strum my guitar gently and softly just like the feeling of the song.

I closed my eyes for some parts, taking in the sound of the song.

After I finished the song, MBLAQ and Rain applauded loudly.

"Thank you, thank you." I bowed.

"Hmm well Park Cho Hee, seems you've really proven your amazing takent to us." said Rain.

"Thank you!"

"So, I guess we'll see you often."

"Pardon?"

"Dear, you PASSED!"

"AHHHHHHHH! THANK YOU RAIN! THANK YOU MBLAQ! AAAHHHH! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! UNNIII!" 

"Wow, she could sing high notes easily from all the screaming." said G.O.

The clipboard lady came back, congratulated me, and led me back to Sica Unni.

"How did you do?"

"Not good. . .'

"It's ok"

"I didn't do well, I did AMAZINGLY!!!!!"

"What?"

"I PASSED UNNI!"

"AHHHH! THIS IS WONDERFUL!" screamed Sica.

"I KNOW!"

Jessica and I stood there screaming for about another 10 minutes. . .
