Namjoon groans and turns off the alarm. He sits up and clutches his head tightly. So much for sleeping in! He has to leave for the meetings.

He gets out of the shower and hears a soft knock on his door. He knows well who is standing outside.  

Joy is standing outside with his coffee mug. It has been like this for almost two months now. To think she has known this man for almost 6 months! Though the first 4 months were a facade.

Namjoon lets her in.

"Good morning." She greets, puts the mug on the coffee table and walks towards his cupboard to get his clothes. Honestly, she loves their little routine. She can pretend to be his real wife even for some minutes. After arranging his attire and collecting the laundry, she is about to leave when Namjoon asks, "How's your back?"

Her steps stop immediately. He was talking to her?!

"Hello!! I am talking to you! Your back? " He gestures at her back, annoyed.

"Huh? Oh yes it-it hu-hurts less now." She stammers. "I-I wanted to th-thank you for...for helping me and Aera." She lets out before her courage dissolves. No one can trust his volatile nature.

She seems to be genuinely grateful though. Namjoon shrugs carelessly, "How's...how's that girl, Aera?" 

Joy's face brightens, "Oh, she is fine! She fell asleep peacefully. Her school starts from 10 a.m. She is still sleeping though."

He nods and she is happy to see him ask about Aera. Even if he is being really casual.

She turns for the door again and drops his shirt on the floor. She bends to pick it up only to exert pressure on the cut and squirm in pain. She still picks it up and begins to walk out when...

"Wait."

She looks back at him again in confusion.

"Let me check the wound. Take off your dress." He grabs the first aid box from the cupboard.

Joy blinks twice. She s her dress and lets it fall to her waist. She sits with her back towards him. She is praying hard so that he cannot hear her heart drumming away.

Namjoon looks at the wound. It must have reopened due to her sudden movement. He shakes his head at her carelessness and changes the dressing. The finger prints and claw marks will take less time to heal completely.

Joy bites her lower lip to prevent herself from smiling and blushing hard.

He has just finished his work when the door bursts open. They are startled from the loud sound. They find Irene staring at them.   

Namjoon rises one of his eyebrows and relishes the shock on her face. He loves the agitation and disheartenment painted it.

Joy just wants to hide in embarrassment. She is sitting infront of Namjoon in a bra with minnie mouse printed on them. A person discovers her in that state. And the person is Irene! Her face can fail an apple in redness and she tries to stand up. She fails to do so as Namjoon is gripping on her shoulder.

"I-I'm sorry." Irene quickly averts her eyes elsewhere.

"Do women in Kim Seokjin's family never knock?" Namjoon sneers. He lets go off Joy finally and she quickly tries to get dressed.

"I just did the dressing! What the hell are ya doing?!" He snaps and turns her around to put on her top part in place safely. Suddenly he begins to laugh, "Wh-what the hell are you wearing?! Do you wear these type of undergarments?!" 

Joy will like the ground swallow her. And Irene...

 She gets zipped up properly and she runs out as fast as she can.

Irene waits till Namjoon sobers up. She clears , "Tha-thank you for helping Aera last night."

"Yeah. Whatever." He brushes off. "But if this happens again, your worthless brother will not be spared." He walks to the bathroom to wash his hands. He comes back to take the coat.

"It won't happen again! I-I will visit to check on them more. If-if that is okay with you?" She hesitates.

Namjoon stops moving. He turns to her and looks intently in her eyes.

Irene shivers. His eyes still bears such passion.

"I don't care what you do. This is still your home. But can't say the same for Mr. Kim Seokjin. He may not like it." He looks at himself one last time in the mirror, "Now if you are done, I have to leave. Make yourself comfortable." He walks out of the room and drives off to his working place.

​Irene learned from one of the common maids what had happened in Bae Mansion last night. She is very irritated with her brother. She used to visit Aera even after Namjoon had settled down in the mansion. She just avoided him very keenly. But her visits completely stopped after Joy had eloped.

She had stopped her brother to hurt or beat the child by paying him a hefty amount every month. But it was not enough. He would beat her any chance he got.  He would blame Aera for her mother's death.

But today, she has decided she will keep dropping by the Bae Mansion. Seokjin agrees with her. She is grateful for that. She first checks on her niece, who is in Joy's room. She has been sleeping. So, she sets out to find Namjoon and talk with him. She has been anticipating their exchange. She ends up realizing that she should have waited outside or at least knocked. But as old habits die hard, she just walks into his room like she always used to.

She sees something which she knows she may not forget easily. Though the reason behind his action is fairly normal but seeing them so close...it is clear that they are comfortable enough to be in such state in front of each other.

They should be. Afterall, they are married. She is also married, with a baby on the way. But it still hurts. It does not help the tears,  rolling down her cheeks.

Joy looks at her cooling cup of tea. She has just heard that Irene will resume her visits to check on Aera. This will not be favourable for her aim. She deeply breathes in and out. Worrying will not help. She has to do something. She needs be more careful and as Cheonsa said, more "subtle and distracting".
