Obstacle

Obstacles

She inhaled his smell. It was like the seam however, in a good way. He didn't smell like fish or anything. Just saltwater. And no, it wasn't a sweaty smell either. Just pure clean natural saltwater. She snuggled a bit closer to him just to get closer to his smell and his suntanned chest. So warm and nice and safe. She chuckled quietly as she remembered how they had met.

It had been a rainy day, and their year had been on a excursion to somewhere and the two had happened to walk beside each other when she had slipped on the watery surface, and in panic just grabbed whatever she could in her fall to avoid hitting the ground.

Only Problem was, what she happened to grab was his sweats, and in a second she was lying on the ground one hand grabbing his sweats, while he was hurriedly trying to pull them back up.

Okay… Maybe that wasn't true… but it would have been fun… No they had just been on an excursion and she happened to fall, and he helped her up. There was nothing more to it, except him being extremely kind to her through it all. Maybe it had been love at first sight for him? That was at least was he was claiming now as they laid there cuddling.

She couldn't help but think about all the drama they would encounter. If they would encounter any. Oh well… They definitely would, just like in romantic movies. The couple would always encounter some sort of obstacle. She couldn't help but wonder what their obstacle would be.

A car crash? A rich mother-in-law who would throw water? Work overseas? A misunderstanding leading to a breakup, then making them meet again years later only to realize they still love each other? Hopefully they wouldn't encounter any. Or, maybe a zombie apocalypse? Surely.

He whispered something in her ear, and she giggled as it tickled but could not hear what was being said.

No matter the obstacle they would definitely overcome it, just like the movies. Okay, maybe except La La Land but that was also a boring film in her opinion.
She felt his lips on hers. Oh, they were so soft and perfect. They were definitely going to overcome that obstacle, what ever it would be.
She heard him count before his lips met hers again, and once more the smell of the salt water ran through her.
Out and out.… she coughed.

"When will the ambulance be here?!"

"She's breathing! Get the blankets!"

She looked around and felt all sore. What was this?

Her hubby was-

Gone.

Only ambulance people was in her eyesight, covering her with blankets, asking her questions she didn't know what to answer to.

Before the ambulance people closed the doors she got a glance of him. A tall tanned lifeguard.

What an obstacle.
