“That’s what you get for dating a kid.” Taeyeon said before she bit on her apple that she was holding on to.
“Tae, she’s not a kid.” Tiffany replied back with a face. And then she ran her fingers through her hair. “Tiff, she’s 21, what do you expect?” Taeyeon questioned her. “It was my fault too for not telling her sooner.” Tiffany said trying not to answer the question her friend just asked.
“It’s not your fault. She was being overdramatic.” Taeyeon said as she took another bite. Both of them were sitting on the couch of Taeyeon’s living room. Earlier that morning, Tiffany stopped by her lawyer’s office for the usual consultation with regards to all the options that she had on her visitation rights for Emily and then she went straight to Taeyeon’s house since Lindsay invited her for lunch.
“She’s not being overdramatic.” Tiffany responded.
“Maybe just a bit.” Suddenly Lindsay appeared carrying a bowl of salad and she placed it on the table. The conversation straightaway shifted to English the moment Lindsay walked in.
“Again, that’s what you get for dating someone that people could possibly mistaken her for your daughter.” Taeyeon gave another sarcastic remark. Well, she had never fancy Sooyoung for all the reasons in the world.
“Babe, let’s not say stuff like that okay.” Lindsay commented before she went back to the kitchen to get the grilled fish.
“So, how did she go to work this morning?” Taeyeon asked since she knew Tiffany had been sending her every day for the past two weeks.
“Her apartment is not that far from Korean Herald.” Tiffany responded.
“Good then. Don’t pamper her that much. Oh yeah I forgot, she’s your daughter.” Taeyeon said with a straight face.
“Taeyeon, please..” Tiffany sighed. She was starting to get annoyed with all her responses. “In case you still don’t know, I am in love with her. I have never been this happy in such a long time.” Tiffany said softly. “Can’t you just be happy for me Tae?” She added with another sigh.
“Babe, you know why we have to be nice? Because who are we to question love? It’s not our place.” Lindsay appeared again from behind with a smile. She placed the grilled fish on the table and then sat next to Taeyeon. “Look at your best friend, Tiffany. She had never once questioned on why an American girl like me would ever date someone like you.” Lindsay looked at her girlfriend.
“Aww man, why do you have to put it like thattt..” Taeyeon whined. Tiffany just smiled to herself after hearing it. Lindsay was just a great person and there was no one else better for Taeyeon than the woman. She knew how to calm Taeyeon down and she was even good in rationalizing things with her.
“The best thing to do is to communicate with her Tiffany.” Lindsay gave her opinion. “I have dated younger women before.” Suddenly Lindsay revealed something Taeyeon didn’t know.
“What? Since when?” Taeyeon was in shock.
“Babe, it was in college. I was wild back then.” She smiled as she started to reminisce her college days. “And I enjoyed every bit of it to be honest.” Lindsay turned her attention back to Tiffany. “You know why?” She asked back.
“Why Linds?” Tiffany asked softly.
“Because I enjoy the ‘power’ play. I don’t know why but at the time I love the feeling to be able to support som
