Things start to heat up between the fans when a video of Minho punching Taemin in the face is released. This news makes the headlines instead of the breaking news of SHINee’s maknae, Taemin, dating IU.

Taemin is going out with IU…Taemin IS going out with IU…TAEMIN IS going OUT with IU!

One of the only things Choi Minho, of the all so famous band SHINee, has been thinking about since the breaking news was released.  He is too young to date, he isn’t ready; he doesn’t even like her….why are all these questions running through Minho’s mind? Why does he seem upset about the fact that they are dating? Minho just can’t explain his feeling…will time tell him why he feels this way…or will he ignore it and concentrate on other things by convincing himself he is just worried about the maknae of the group?

But if he was so worried, why did he punch him in the face? And when he was told to apologise to the public for his behaviour, he just walked away, ignoring his fans, ignoring his manager…but most of all ignoring Taemin…to whom he still owed an apology.

When the news of IU and Taemin dating was released…

Minho was sitting in him room, after a hot steamed shower, with water dripping off his hair and on to his wet, solid and shoulders. He held a towel and was trying to dry his hair while at the same time turning the TV on.

He wasn’t the type to watch the news…not even if it was concerned with SHINee matters, he just found it boring. However, the headlines of this one ‘Breaking News’ caught his attention…he couldn’t seem to switch channels. The headline struck him like lighting…

“It has been made official by SM, IU and Taemin from the Band SHINee are officially a couple!”

Minho had to blink a couple of times to understand the letters, which seemed to jumble up. He read it again and again, completely ignoring the women on the telly explaining the background history. Then, he didn’t know why but, he threw the towel to the bed in anger, ignoring his wet hair and body, ignoring the fact that he was half and stormed out the room.

He was furious to the fact that he lived in the same dorm as the young maknae but did not know he was dating! Without thinking he charged into Taemin’s room, not even stopping at the light blue door to knock. When he walked in he saw the younger and more fragile boy walking out the bathroom with a towel in his hand…and he too was top half .  

The young boy looked up at Minho, amazed at the sudden intrusion; he covered his body in embarrassment,

“Hyung…what are you doing here?” he asked with a slightly frightened expression and tone.

Minho ignored Taemin’s question and walked towards him. Taemin stepped back with each step Minho took towards him. They carried on until Taemin was stopped by the wall.

“Hyung…did you want something?” Taemin asked, while looking at the older boy’s face which was covered with his damp and messy hair.

“Taemin, I will ask you one question…and you must answer it truthfully and clearly.” Minho asked with a fierce and demanding tone. Taemin just merely nodded, he was too surprised by his hyungs sudden abnormal and intimidating behaviour.

“Are you dating IU?”

At this point, Taemin suddenly looked down and couldn’t bare to face his hyung.

“I asked you a question Taemin…are you or are you not dating IU?” he sounded so angry,

“TELL ME!”

Taemin cringed at the loudness of his voice, he sounded like thunder. When he opened his eyes he could see Minho’s chest, both their breaths were coming out like ripped rags, Minho was too close for comfort. On a daily basis Taemin yearned to be this close to Minho, but today he was acting different and that scared him.  

At that moment Taemin placed both his hands on Minho’s bare chest and pushed him away with all his force. And in the heat of the moment he shouted,

“Yeah I’m dating IU…what’s it to you?!??!?!!”

The next few seconds were a blur since they happened so fast and the horror of it was too much. After Taemin had shouted his answer, Minho’s instant reflex was to swing his arm forward and punch Taemin across the face, with so much force that the room was filled with Taemin’s loud and painful groan. The after image was very disturbing and heart seemingly painful.

Minho stood there looking with horror at Taemin, shocked about what he had just done. Taemin’s eyes filled with tears of physical pain from the punch and the mental pain of being punched by his hyung…not any other hyung but Minho! The other band members rushed in, not knowing what was happening, since the only thing they heard was Taemin’s loud shout.

Taemin looked up and met eyes with Minho; they looked at each other for about a fraction of a second which felt like eternity. Then Minho left the room without a word, leaving Taemin speechless.
